Silverdale didnt bail, both the all of hamilton county schools cancelled their scrimmages that day because of the heat.

Grace and Central tied. Notre Dame tied Silverdale 0-0.

Thanks for the link. Indeed, the hammer has fallen. Ronnie Carter doesnt seem to be pulling any punches either. Its really gonna hurt Temple, a school that doesnt have much money, to pay back TSSAA for all those games. And being stripped of all the titles. It also kinda makes me upset how Kevin Skogen is totally just selling out Temple. The place where his kids grew up is now the same place he's trying to make look as bad as possible. I hate to see how this affects his reputation as a pastor. I feel bad for the new AD and the kids over there who have had nothing to do with this whole scenerio, but will have to pay the brunt of the consequences for it. But rules are rules, they have made their bed, now it's time for them to lie in it.

How was Oliver Springs last year? I'm from the Chattanooga area and don't know much about the prgram. I do know that ya'll come down week zero to play Silverdale. What kind of season are fans expecting up there?

I hear Settles hasnt been running a very disciplined program over there. Someone told me at a scrimmage without helmets and wearing whatever they wanted. And it always worries me when a coach spends more time yelling at officals then coaching his team. I have a friend who is an officalwho tells me they all hate reffing DBCS games. At any rate, good luck to DB this year in there first year in the region.

The line will be somewhat of a question mark this year after losing 3 starters and the tight end from last year, but there is some young talent that have a bright future. Look for them to improve as the year goes on. At that scrimmage, the line did struggle at first trying to adjust to the bigger D-lines they had to go up against, but as the night went on they settled in a bit. There is always goin to be a size factor when your playin against a class 3 and 4A school. It's true silverdale did not score in that scrimmage, but Central and marion only scored one a piece, not bad for a single A D.

Well put Pature. And yes, last Silverdale was the only team to lose to temple by just a touchdown. Temple beat everybody else by at least 3. After the Grace game last year, Silverdale got a wake up call and started playin their best football. If preseason activties are any indicator at all, then Silverdale will surprise some people, and as you put it, "earn some respect". But I've been wrong before....

This scrimmage with Boyd will really be good work for Silverdale. It's scrimmages like this one that will get them ready for South Pitt and LV. Temple gave Silverdale no work at all. It was totally one sided,but i know the second team got alot of reps, so that's a positive. Silverdale scrimmaged central and Marion county last night and put some good work in there. The D looked pretty solid most of the time, however the offense struggled at some points. But Coach Allen said he was pleased and that he thinks his football team is coming along. This team still has lots of work to do before the season starts(Oliver Springs will be a big test) to achieve there goals of reaching the playoffs.

I really just dont see richard hardy being third in 6A.I'd have to go with LV in that spot.and 21st and Silverdale will probably split so i'll say a tie for third in 5A.I think Temple beats grace 3 times this year and then takes the region.And i really dont see Grace gettin out of the region this year,but ive been wrong before.

I'm sure Seth is filing for a hardship to play basketball at Mccallie.He will get it because he dad is now employed there.As far as Joey goin there, i dont think so.Why would Joey leave his dad and older brother and a chance to win a state title just to go to Mccallie?Anyways, i heard from a reliable source Joey will be goin to Lookout Valley next year.

Im sure they will do just fine considering that they beat RH 3 times last year,and they beat Whitwell twice.They play good defense and are very quick.They lost their big guy from last year,but they will handle these teams with ease.
