Hope you don't mind commish, but I had to reformat your post in order to emphasize the most important part. Starting half-way through the season last year, RW comes on here and predicts blowout after blowout, regardless of oponent. He stated Ridgeway was inferior and would be a blowout, same with Powell. He stated that this season would be a cakewalk as well, when any knowledgable fan knew there would be growing pains this year. Liberty was going to be a cakewalk. Beech, no problem at all. And then he states that Northeast, a team that is always filled with athletes and has been a very competitive team the past 3 years, with a starting qb committed to Tennessee, would be a pushover. Either RW needs to find better "sources", he's a troll, or both. It took him 3 weeks to post after his predicted Beech massacre, we'll see how long it takes this time.

A troll is someone who gets on here and demeans others in order to make themselves feel better, like predicting that someone will "destroy" another team, when in fact they have no knowledge of the game itself. There are a couple of trolls that follow Henry County unfortunately, but it's not me under that bridge. I also seem to remember you mocking those of us who thought that Beech was going to be a very difficult challenge and that Jalen Hurd would put on a show if the defense did not step up its play after a lackluster game against Liberty, tell us again how that turned out.

Found it for you. From http://www.coacht.com/boards/index.php/topic/224774-henry-county-patriots-liberty-crusaders-week-0/page__st__30 "I'll field this one, Red Warrior. What happened is as follows: The 2011 State Champion Henry County Patriots came from behind to dismantle a team that was bigger at every position, faster at every position, and for 3 quarters, more motivated at every position. The dismantled Liberty Crusaders lost the last game they will lose this year. They are a physical carbon copy of the Riverside team from Memphis we defeated deep in the playoffs last year (you know, on our walk to The Championship)." I especially liked the Ridgeway (although you said Riverside) reference.

School's that may change Class Next year...
Professor Chaos replied to Space3's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
Schools do have the option of playing up. Under the last realignment, Clarksville Northeast High School wished to stay in 5a despite a smaller enrollment figure since every other Clarksville school was 5a or bigger. However, in Oak Ridge's case under the z-plan, 5a or 6a would not matter until playoff time. Oak Ridge would theoretically still be able to play in the same district versus the same opponents either way. -
Beech vs. White House- The Bucs and Devils
Professor Chaos replied to Cleggy's topic in Class 5A & Class 6A
Having watched Mobley in the championship game last year and Hurd on a couple of occassions, Hurd is in his own category when it comes to running backs. -
Dangerous game this week for Henry County if the rush defense continues to play like it has the last 2 weeks. Kenwood relies heavily on the running game, and they have a couple of good backs. I don't think their defense has any chance of stopping HC without some turnovers and penalties, but the Patriots could be in another high scoring game if they don't tackle better.

Agreed, I just find it amusing.
-
Yeah, sure.

I find it funny that certain regular posters have not been seen since the end of this game. Perhaps a couple of the coaches have decided to devote themselves to the film room a little longer rather than posting on coacht.

Absolutely a great atmosphere. The real football fans, the ones who knew that this Beech team was probably one of the top 2 or 3 teams in 5a this year, were greatly looking forward to this game with a bit of trepidation knowing what might occur to a young, inexperienced defense. I just hope the casual fans don't quit on this team due to this outcome. This team could be good with more seasoning and coaching.

They'll definitely be in the hunt, but their defense was almost as bad as Henry County's tonight. Their kicking game as well has to improve dramatically.
-
Now what?
-
Unbelievable performance tonight.
-
Considering the Patriots poor tackling and missed assignments made Liberty's backs look like all-pro's, it's entirely possible if those misstakes occur again.
-
If HC tackles like they did against Liberty, Jalen Hurd may go for 250 himself.
-
Anthony transfered in last fall (maybe around Halloween?). Not sure from where, but he's a good kid.
-
I'd think that Maryville fans would be more sensitive than others about the difficulties of transitioning from high school standout to college after the summer they had. Hopefully you are an isolated incident.
-
Agreed on Beech. Ridgeway also loses a ton of great players. Not sure about Gallatin. Seems like Hendersonville loses quite a bit as well. What about two darkhorses: Dyer County and Station Camp? Did they lose much?
-
If that's the case then Henry County brought approximately 6000 fans. That's just an incredibly insane number for a school that far away.
-
Powell and Henry County (especially HC) have certainly helped the attendance figures this year.

A couple of you guys said you were TTU alums, and I must admit that I was impressed with their campus and facilities (what little I saw). What I was wondering is what is the capacity for their stadium? It really says something when Henry County, 3 1/2 hours away from Cookeville (or more depending on who's driving ) fills up 75% of their sidelines and was as loud and active as any game I've ever seen from them.
