As already stated by your fellow fan mates, can it; you are making the fan base look bad.....

Once again and understandably supporters from the losing side make these types of statements. I watched the game and it wasnt that Maryville played bad as much as it was Hillsboros defense was very fast as a unit and Maryville just didnt have an answer for it. There lone score came off of a trick play which was a very good call btw; which was the only way to get those fast players out of position. Maryville has a great team and has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, how many people can say they were part of a 74 game winning streak. I look for both of these teams to make a strong push to get back to the burro next year in their respective classes. I believe Maryville will be very much in the mix next year even though they will be in 6A.....

Being nuetral I have to say that the game was actually closer than the score indicated, I wish 1 TC fan would have enough respect for JBS to atleast admit that much. I mean I was there and watching the game I didnt get the feeling that either team was dominating to the other. The fact that the game was tied in the 4th says alot and that snubb on the kick-off was the turining point of the game. I am not saying JBS would have won if the kid (freshman btw) had just let the ball go out of bounds but the score would have been closer.....

I was actually wondering about that, maybe all of Robertson Co. should atleast let evrybody out of school early. I personally will be leaving Sycamore High at around 11 so I can get evrything straight and get up to the burro. If you guys are meeting anywhere pre-game let me know I will stop by. I will be staying for the Alcoa/Milan game as well so I wont be able to do anything post game.....

They didnt reach those gears b/c the team they were playing was better than everybody they had played and did not allow for them to reach those gears. I was 1 of the guys that thought HC may win andgo on to state and give Marryville a run but was suprised by them losing. Also what you said about Maryville i absolutely true but that is not the reason you picked them by 2 scores at that time. I personally believe this will be a great game but I have a feeling Hillsboro may pull off the upset. I believe that HC has a better offense than Maryville this year and Hillsboros offense will be very hard to contain. I will make a conditional prediction b/c I really dont want to commit to 1 side or the other. If Hillsboro can score 3 toucdowns they will win: 21-17 If Hillsboro cannot score 3 touchdowns they will lose: 17-14 I believe that both of these defenses are going to be very tough so the scoring will be held to a minimum.....

So you pick the obvious fav and you think if you are right that makes you more knowledgable about 1A football than someone picking the team they support? Way to go out on a limb HERO.....

Exactly; most of the time fans find it hard to just say that the team that beat them is just better and just put it on them playing bad or whatever. The fact is when most of them say a team does not look as they normally do and make un-common mistakes it is b/c 99% of the time the team you are playing is making you look that way and was forcing mistakes. I could tell from the guys 1st post that he picked MH out of pure bitterness.....

Maybe it is just me but I believe it is disrespectful to completely dismiss a team's chance to win a gold ball when they make it to the dance.....

I expected alot of statements like this.....

I personally hope that Milan is able to pull this off or atleast make a game out of it b/c I will be there for the 1A game supporting Jobyrns and plan on staying for this game. I wouldnt say that Alcoa being 13-1 has anything to do w/ the outcome of this game as the loss came to 4A Maryville who is 14-0 and going for their 5th straight state title and 75th win in a row. Not to mention Alcoa has been 13-1 while winning 3 out of their last 4 gold balls.....

As someone who has experienced this as a player I am really happy for all of you guys and win or lose just milk this next week for all you can b/c this a a great experience the whole community will never forget. This team has worked their butts off the last few years and have been right at the door; it must feel really good to get through it. I said if you guys made it to the burro I would be there; I will have to leave the school where I am student teaching early to get there on time. If the crew is going to meet anywhere b/4 the game let me know, it would be nice to see everybody. Also congrats to Mckenzie on a great season; that communtiy should be very proud of those young men and good luck in 2A next year.....

Well Shep that would be cool but as much as it pains me I have to work that night and it has been made mandatory so if I miss/call out I could lose my job. If you guys do win and make it to the burro though I believe I will be able to make out there and it would be a pleasure to meet you then.....
