  1. Centennial made the playoffs in 2011 and 2012 but not this year.
  2. If the Titans fall short of the playoffs and Munch and the staff are fired, Ravenwood #2 won't be back.
  3. I thought Indy's days of getting outcoached ended when Dyson left . I said choke because of the play calls on Indy's drive that resulted in them punting from the endzone and gave HHS a short field for the winning TD drive. For the game, Wharton had 30 yds on three carries but instead of putting him in the Wildcat and running clock, they continued throwing the ball. The sack around the five forced the ez punt and boom, game lost.
  4. Choke job in Thompson's Station. HHS comes back to win 36-35 after being down 28-10 at half..
  5. Indy scored on first play of the game. 7-0 .
  6. 950 AM or here on the 'net. http://wakmworldwide.com/
  7. Butt hurt, are you? Since Ravenwood was the district winner, they would have simply gotten their clock cleaned in the "quarterfinals" instead of winning a first round game against a weak opponent. This qualifies for one of the most ridiculous Coacht posts ever and that says a lot.
  8. I agree they weren't a stellar team. Weak QB play and a leaky D were the two main problems. I was simply trying give props to Overton by pointing out Centennial only lost to quality teams and had some players that could cause headaches.
  9. I didn't make any comments about Oakland so not sure why the comparison. Also, Centennial had a running back that gained 1,500 yards and a WR that has offers from Louisville, Vandy, Ole Miss and probably some others so again, a win over them should carry some weight. .
  10. Not sure how a team with 3 SEC commits beating a lil ol' Metro school would be an upset on I-65 or any other interstate.
  11. Centennial lost to five playoff teams, including Ravenwood by 3. A win over them does mean something.
  12. Don't be misled by the success stopping Sanders. Centennial was weak at QB and very limited in the passing game, something magnified when Hall was injured. Once that happened, it was easy to stack the box.
  13. Let's not forget that teenagers don't always execute the game plan. I was once on the visiting sidelines during a game and the home team had a great return guy. Visitors kicked away from him the first half. To start the second half, home team moves return guy up to the wing. Visiting coach sees it and starts pointing and screaming "There he is right there!!" Kicker pooches it straight to him and he returns it inside the 20. Coach runs out, grabs the kicker by the shoulder pad and said "WTH!! We practiced all week to kick away from him!!". With a bewildered look, the kid says "Coach, I kicked it right where you pointed." Never laughed so hard in my life.
  14. He didn't on the KO return, he got a lateral. FHS lost to the top seeds in the district by a total of two points. That indicates to me they are pretty solid and their season shouldn't be judged by the Centennial game. BTW, I think they take care of business next week. http://www.franklinhomepage.com/indy-overcomes-18-point-deficit-to-beat-franklin-cms-13377#.Umu454wo61s
  15. Proven coaches were probably smart enough to stay away.
  16. There are SEC teams and then there are teams that play in the SEC. Mississippi State is one of the latter. They beat Bowling Green by one point last week so did the BG coaches watch more film and prepare better?
  17. No mention of the one you lost by 55?
  18. Ravenwood beats Centennial 38-35 in a very entertaining game that was attended by James Franklin. RHS got up 21-0 and it was 21-7 at half. CHS scored 21 straight to go up 28-21 before Ravenwood scored the next 14 to lead 35-28. Centennial tied it up at 35 but had to kick off from the 25 following an unsportsmanlike call on the TD. RHS took advantage of the short field to kick a fg and go up 38-35. CHS was moving the ball for the tie or lead but fumbled at the RHS 40 late in the game. Again, great game to watch.
  19. Other than last night, MJ's losses have been to Blackman and Station Camp. No shame losing to either of those teams. With Ravenwood, Indy and Franklin left on the schedule, Centennial is likely to lose a couple games but don't discredit the win over Mt. Juliet.
  20. Centennial over Mt. Juliet 38-24. Led 31-10 early in the 4th before MJ closed it to 31-24. CHS ran off the last four minutes and scored late for the final.
  21. Brentwood has shown improvement the last couple weeks but don't think they can win this one.
