Watkins averaged around 13ppg and 6.5 apg last season as a junior. This year through 8 games he is avg. 19.7 ppg and right at 5 apg. He is tough. But he is probably a better defender than he is offensively, which is scary. At only about 6'1, 180 lbs he is a little undersized for the big time D-1 schools, but, in my opinion, would be a great true point guard at the next level somewhere. And yes, he went 5 of 6 behind the arc one game...he's really improved his outside shot.

Someone made this comment the other day and I happen to agree--what happened to all the posters from around this district? Last season Springfield was posting on here constantly. So was Clarksville high, and even Rossview had some posters. Now it is just two or three lone members and HC people...it's kinda sad. Thanks for the shout out Heisman, classy.

That's what I was going to say...I didn't know that Kenwood had anyone who could shoot outside of #24 and #12. If so then they have been having off nights all year... Fastcat--I dont always disagree with you. I think the winning teams probably do more than the losing teams to determine the win in most occassions. I have no idea what happened in the Dickson Co game so I wasn't referring to that---and I wasn't calling you an idiot based on your assessment of games. I just said that in reaction to everything you are always saying things that are ridiculous to other posters. If you just posted your opinion and left it then no one would really have much to say. But you always get on and call other posters out and make everything a personal attack. Some people do watch a lot of high school basketball. and they dont have to be coaches. I am great example of that. I have seen in person Kenwood, Northeast, Oakland, Overton, La Vergne, Hunters Lane, Henry Co., Gallatin, Ravenwood, Siegel, Father Ryan, Wilson Central, Northwest, Blackman, McGavok, Whites Creek, Lebanon, Riverdale, Station Camp, Harpeth, Antioch, Liberty Tech, Union City, Franklin, Lipscomb, CPA, and probably a few others that I can't think of right now... So the next time you try to tell me who I am, what I do, where I live, or what I am about...get your facts straight...know what you are talking about...and don't just say whatever it is you feel like saying! Oh and good job last night Patriots! Not bad for the worst team in that district, wish I could have seen it. But I saw a great game myself. But congrats HC.

Because of their style of play. Dickson is a hard beat sometimes...just the way it is. And Primm is probably the 3rd best individual player in the district behind Walker and Caldwell, already a signee with UNC-Ashville. He will be a tough guard this year for sure--I hear he's bulked up some too from time spent in the weight room. Athleticism must run in the water over there at Henry Co--they have great athletes just chillin on the bench---right jimmy?? /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Siegel gave up more ppg than any other team in the mid-state last season. They could be really really good if they guarded. Definitely a very talented team...

I would put my bank account on the fact that Henry Co will finish in the top 5...no way they will be 6 or 7---just won't! Promise you that. Clarksville will beat NE Rossview over Dickson NW over Springfield Henry Co. over Kenwood (but this will be a good game, because Kenwood is good not because Henry Co is bad)

Well I think we can all give you the benefit of the doubt, but let me assure you, if the Coach at HC discovers this talent that is there on the bench, he will play it, you don't become as successful as he has been by playing favorites. How come the little #3 guard for Kenwood isn't starting? He is way more talented than the guy who starts in front of him.

And I didn't dog any teams out at all. I simply stated my opinion on who I think is better than the other. It is not dogging a team by saying they sometimes take bad shots or they aren't as skilled as another team. Dogging is calling out a certain team and saying they stink or they are really bad and shouldn't be in the discussion...or calling out a player for doing something stupid... I did none of the above. I think all of the teams in this district are going to be competitve...except maybe Springfield since they lost sooo much last year...but obviously some are more skilled than others. That's not dogging. That's just fact. If you can't state your opinion on who you think will win certain games and why--then this board would be empty... But for the record I do have some friends in Henry Co and I am hoping they will turn some heads this year in that district, but I really don't know how it will all play out.

I was gonna write more, but I don't think it is needed. And by the way, I am not a Henry Co. employee or anything close. I don't live anywhere close to any of the schools in district 9.

Is there a way to edit a schedule? I know you can add games, but I have noticed a few that are incorrect. Is there a way to fix this. Also I have noticed that the links aren't working right now to get to a team from someone's post.

There is a big time difference between calling out an individual player and saying that an overall team isn't as skilled as another. That's common sense. You are saying that HC isn't as skilled as Kenwood by predicting them to lose, aren't you? I think you are reaching quite a bit. I think NW is tons better than last year and they will give some people fits at times, but they are clearly not as talented as other teams in the district in my opinion. If that is dogging players then I am guilty I guess--but that is very different than the approach you have taken more than once. And everyone on the board can see the difference. And I haven't seen Dickson or Clarksville or Rossview or Henry Co play this season, so you might have to rethink your theory as well. I'm reminded of a quote, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
