  1. "The only way DB can win..." Are you kidding me? You guys barely won last time in one of DB's worst games of the year. Young and Turnbull are not difficult players at all to guard, they will be controlled. DB will win this one, easily.
  2. Yes, he was the freshman starting QB, and then as a sophomore, the starting JV QB, and as a junior and senior, the starting Varsity QB.
  3. They portray the best image of quality players huh? Like the kind that yells out cuss words during the game and then the guy that doesn't even shake hands and walks off the court because he got beat? Give me a break. I see you were on at 2:50 this morning, Omar. You really should be in bed. It can't be good for your game to stay up until 3 in the morning, especially when you have school in just a few hours. You are not fooling anybody, Omar.
  4. Omar seriously this is just getting old. I see you have stopped using your old name, Heatplaya, and have gone to this one claiming you used to be Omar's coach blah blah blah. No coach of Omar's is going to go through 2 game films from last year just for no reason and by you knowing exactly when Wiggins guared Omar tells me you have done just that. Seriously, stop getting on here and talking about yourself. All you have done this week is tell all of us about how you are the only player on SH, how you are the only player on SH that plays defense, and how you are so great. SHUT UP!! We are tired of hearing it. We all know you are Omar and you are not fooling anyone. However, if you want to continue getting on here to brag about yourself, I can not stop you. So, I will say this. I hope you enjoy all of it now because come next year you will be stuck at the end of the bench at the school YOU recruited (not the other way around) and I look forward to reading what you have to say, which won't be much of anything, I'm sure.
  5. Am I the only one to notice how Coty Sensabaugh COMPLETELY shut down Hess tonight in the 2nd half. If I'm not mistaken he only scored off of a couple free throws and maybe 1 basket. Also, Justin Sylvester did a great job on the much bigger and much taller Baker kid. Great defense tonight by the Indians, especially in the 2nd half. Congratulations on win #2,000. First EVER high school team to do so...
  6. Logan Williamson, Coty Sensabaugh, and Josef Throp were all consistant starters last season. The two other current starters are Justin Sylvester, who is a sophomore that wasn't on Varsity last year and essentially took Will Henry's spot in the starting lineup, and Jordan Edwards, a sophomore who took over the starting spot during the Arby's. That spot was held by Frankie Adams last year who, quite frankly, hasn't seemed to be producing on the court. This year's team is much better talent wise and athletically, however have underacheived to this point. It will be interesting to see what happens Friday night and also come tournament time...
  7. And the one missing starter has been replaced by the best sophomore in the area, who happens to be the best defensive player on the team as well as one of the team's top scoring options. No brainer...???
  8. DB has 6 Varsity players playing on their JV team. McGue (Junior), King (Junior), Flack (Junior), McConnell (Sophomore), Riggs (I believe a sophomore, but not sure), and one other post player I am not too sure of his name (Hardy maybe??). Anyways, none of these 6 receive significant minutes on Varsity any longer. In my opinion, there are 3 of these kids that should, but do not. However, that is for another thread. The question asked was who has the best JV team in the Big 9. This is actually not up for debate since DB has run through practically every team they have played up to this point, regardless of them having Varsity players or not. In my personal opinion, it is the right thing to do to place your underclassmen that are not receiving many minutes on the JV team to give them the opportunity to play in games and get better. If you don't, you are simply keeping them around as a practice player with hopes they can get better by practicing each day. Even then, once they get to the Varsity level, they will be playing in a competitive game, under the lights, which they may not have done in a long time. Either way, if DB playing Varsity players on their JV is a problem for some of you, ignore this thread and create your own titled, "Who has the best JV team in the Big 9 (Except DB, South, Science Hill, and anyone else who plays some underclassmen Varsity players on their JV team).
  9. Dobyns-Bennett, by far. They have not lost a game, have blown out most everyone, including Science Hill.
  10. Very funny Monica!! You were talking about football. But I think we avenged that 1 loss in basketball, and we will get a chance to do it again at that piece of crap gym you guys have over there...
  11. And how long has it been since South has beat DB???
  12. And you still wanna put the label of being "down" on DB and Science Hill. Both seem to be coming around quite nicely, as expected. I would put either two of these teams up against anybody from East Tennessee on any given night and expect them to get the job done. We all know Science Hill can play, but for those of you that didn't see DB beat them the other night, looks like a TOTALLY different team with Coty back, and he's still not back to 100%!
  13. Just another Sullivan County REDNECK!
  14. OMAR, seriously man, quit talking about yourself. You are fooling no one. Everyone on this board knows that you are Heatplaya and Broadwayballer. People would respect you a whole lot more if you didn't get on boards like this just to talk about yourself... On another note, why did Odem sit out??
  15. The best, is Tom Taylor of 1320 WKIN for Dobyns-Bennett. He has won at least 1 Tennessee Broadcaster of the year or whatever it is called over every high school broadcaster in the state, as well as Bob Kestling (Tennessee) and Mike Keith (Titans). There is no one that compares. If you don't believe me, tune in to AM 1320 if you are in or around Kingsport this friday night when DB takes on Science Hill. Even if you go to the game, take you a portable radio with headphones. He is excellent.
  16. I believe you may be referring to Don Spivey. Long time PA Announcer for DB Football and Basketball. But, no, he does not do announcing anymore. He is the lead Play-by-Play man on AM 1400 for all basketball and football games.
  17. For the record, Davidson doesn't have a 13-6 record against SEC schools. They have a losing record. I just picked a school and used an illustration. CLOWN! I do agree the Big 9 is down and there are no real good teams in this conference this year, however any of the top 4 teams would beat the daylights out of Unaka any night of the week. if you don't see that, you are retarded.
  18. No I agree. This clown wants to argue for Unaka against our conference, so I will ask this question... What is Unaka's record against Tennessee High, Dobyns-Bennett, Science Hill, & Central in the last 5-10 years? The reason I am leaving the rest out is because I beleive these 4 teams cover every district championship team we have had lately. And since this clown wants to compare Unaka's record against the Big 9, compare it to the good programs of the Big 9. Unaka clown, your argument is about as good as someone from Davidson saying they have a 13-6 record against the SEC against Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Kentucky. That just doesn't make sense. Compare it to the Floridas, Tennessees, Georgias, and LSUs of the conference...
  19. OK OMAR. Of course you can think of one, because you guy you are referring to (Omar), is...... YOU!!!
  20. Apparently you didn't see the game so let me spell it out for you... Snapp finished with 15 points, but did not have a field goal in the 1st half. Ala, SHUT DOWN! 6 of his points were from the free throw line on bailout calls where he just threw himself into the defender like he does when he has nowhere to go, plus a 2-shot technical. The other 9 points came from 3 pretty wideopen threes after DB was up big late in the game. Oh yeah, he also fouled out trying to guard the DB guards. So, all in all, he was pretty much shut down. And P.S., DB did not gameplan for Snapp. They played their defense as they always do and let their guards take care of him, which they did.
  21. Terrible list. Snapp is overrated, as soon as you get somebody who can play defense on his he is shut down, like he was in the DB game. Wattad is the best talent wise, but he has not shown it this year. Wiley from South, as well as Throp and Sylvester from DB, and Hess from Central are all better than Snapp, Baker, Cradic, and Layton.
  22. Not everybody in the DB community wants him fired. I respect the man he is and how everyone of his players gets their work done in the classroom, but as a coach alot of people are losing respect for him because of his refusal to change/tweek his system to fit his players. Last night at Cherokee was the best in-game coaching he has done this year because he actually mixed up his offenses and defenses to confuse Cherokee and enable to DB comeback. Great job by our boys and great job by Morgan last night.
  23. 1st of all, NO DB fan has used Sensabaugh's excuse for anything that has happened up to this point. All that any DB fan has said is that they will be a MUCH better team and a MUCH more dangerous team with him back. DB lost to Central and to TN High, but no excuses. We were outplayed and outcoached in both games. 2nd of all, DB (without Sensabaugh, their best player) went TO Cherokee tonight and beat them. After falling behind by almost 20 before deciding to play, they came all the way back and beat them at their place.
