  1. If you had seen the calling @ the last 2 games you wouldn't worry about that. It's been pretty tough against SG, especially the Boone game and the home game against Unicoi wasn't much better. If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about the refs.
  2. I think Greeneville will be the big winner. GHS has a more experienced QB with a strong arm and a whole lot of speed on the ground. Boone does have a really good punter. My guess is 42-6
  3. South Greene beat Unicoi(4A) 31-14 Friday.
  4. I was at the Border Bash last Fri playing for South Greene I thought Fulton did a great job representing TN. I wish Fulton would have gone against Tuscola, their scrimage against Chuckey Doak was a joke! CD hasn't had a winning season in years. I guess they didn't want any real competition so they could look good to their fans. The hardest hitting game that night was Fulton's. Good job Fulton hope to see you @ the Bash next year. We'll show the NC boys how TN plays some football. Good Luck This Year! Stay Strong!
  5. I would be suprised if CD will want to go back to the Bash next year. I don't know who does their scheduling for the Bash, but my guess is they wanted to showcase their teams. I think thats why they gave Hickory to Fulton, they would have been too much competion for Tuscola or Pisgah. They just wanted to play a team that hasn't had a winning season in God knows how many years so they could feel like bigshots. I don't know how tough their reigion is but I hope they play some teams like Fulton. I doubt it would be as easy as the Bash was for them. Tuscola is 3A with about 1300 students, Hickory is 3A with 1300 students, Pisgah is 2A with 960 students, CD is 2A with 588 students, SG is 2A with 556 students. Both Tuscola and Pisgah played schools with half the student enrollment that they have. At least Fulton & SG gave them a run for their money.
  6. I was at the Boreder Bash. I wasn't sure the score on the Fulton / Hickory scrimage but it wasn't hard to tell their game was the loaded with HARD HITS! Seemed like Fulton gave them a good showing that us ol' TN boys can play some ball too!!! I was at last year's Border Bash and the NC fans were nice. This year I thought they were pretty rude. They built up CD in their local press like they were a really good team "Tough Competition". Anyone from Greene County knows that CD hasn't had a winning season in years. I felt bad for the CD guys they really took a beating (1 guy was knocked out & taken out by ambulance) but they delivered some good hits as well. Then the Tuscola fans laughed at CD and made fun of them while they ran all over them. They made such a big deal over their QB who is supposed to be a Huge college prospect. I guess they will see how the season goes if they face any decent teams in THEIR division (3A). I guess if it made them feel big to beat a 2A team they got what they wanted. SG gave Pisgah a run for their money ending the scrimage 0-0. They thought they it would be a blowout but it didn't turn out that way. The local NC news showed highlights of the practice round between SG / Pisgah (Pisgah did score in prac.) but they didn't show the real scrimage just the practice round (had to make themselves look good). It appeared to me the NC teams needed an ego boost. Anyway, Great Job Fulton! South Greene & Fulton showed the NC boys we can play some football in TN too!!
  7. I don't think WG will get the milk can this year either. Guess we will have to wait & see.
  8. I think if anything SG is on an up year!! They look pretty strong to me. They have a extremely positive mindset and moutains of determination. SG seems to be loaded with talent, passing as well as running the ball. I think everyone may be suprised by them & SG fans will be in for a treat this year.
  9. From the 2 passing scrimages I've been to it looks like in Greene County it will be: 1. SG 2. CD 3. WG 4. NG
  10. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Don't forget the REBS!! We're still here & were working hard. We are hoping for a major turnaround from last year. Last years B-team is this years Varsity. They were 5-1 last year. It may be a much better season despite a few tough non-confrence games on the schedule. We are going in with a positive attitude.
  11. WRONG!!!! The RIGHT score of the SG / Elizabethton scrimage was 14-14 with a rebel TD called back on a bs call by the refs (would have been 21-14 REBS!). I think you got some incorrect information!
  12. Scott Susong - Sophmore @ South Greene has a batting avg. of .393 - 22 RBIs with 8 Homeruns this year & 2 homeruns freshman year & is no slouch with the glove as a starting varsity 3rd baseman Freshman & Sophmore year.
  13. Scott Susong Sophmore @ South Greene now has 8 Homeruns
  14. South Greene has a sophmore that's hit 6 homeruns so far this year.
  15. SG has 530 students Boone has 1000 more kids to choose from, SG is 2A Boone is 4A. Boone had some big guys, but it looked like they played their first team all night to me. SG had too many turnovers in the first half of the game and a QB that couldn't move the ball. SG had 1 first down and 13 yards in the first half of the game Boone had the ball most of the first half and only managed 2 TD's. With that much opportunity if their are so good looks like they could have scored more. I don't think GHS will have much problem with them!!!
  16. WOW! A Big Bad 4A school winning against a 2A school Really Big Deal!! Didn't look like a huge win to me (YES I was at the game) and if SG had the same QB in the first half of the game as the second half the score may not have turned out like it did. Now Boone gets to play against a school in their division. I guess a 4A vs. 2A win is a big deal to these guys. Let's see how big and bad they are this week. They may not have so much to brag about after this week. Good luck GHS!! Hope you smoke these Blow Hard Blazers!!!!
  17. You hit the nail on the head! Good luck in 2007!
  18. O.K., I'll speak slow. He and his older brother always went to city schools and planned to attend GHS why would they offer free tuition if he was coming there anyway, Duh! What has the younger brother done to earn a free ride look at last years football record, then booted off the football and baseball team and then out of school as well. Don't mean to slam him, but l he didn't have a very good year. But I pray for him and his family after their tragedy last year. I hope he turns things around and wish him best of luck in sports and life. I meant county students who didn't attend city schools during their elementary years and had no plans of attending GHS. Then they and their parents are contacted by coaches or whoever and offered a tuition waiver (hardship grant). I know a former GHS standout athlete (county student) that they did just that for him and they could afford it. Some people turned it down this year! Believe it or not! I am not speaking of football exclusively, it happens in all the sports. Yes GHS seems to have money to burn. It's a shame the county schools don't have that problem.
  19. Did you ever think someone just might say NO!!? Not everyone dreams of being a Greene Devil? Most county students are proud to be Knights, Buffs, Rebels or Huskies and have no desire to come to GHS!! What did Greenway do to earn free tuition?
  20. Yes it is too bad!!!!! Thanks for the joke it's a good one!!! Our poor county school system can't afford to buy coaches and players like GHS and where does the talent come from usually the county schools, and YES!!!! GHS recruits please don't try to say they don't. People I know (county students) have been offered free tuition to attend GHS and play sports there. Maybe GHS bought theirselves a playoff spot this year. Thanks for a good laugh though!!!
  21. 2007 season Who will have the BEST team? Who are going to be players to WATCH Offense and Defense? Who will be PLAYOFF CONTENDERS? I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
