  1. Agree! It is more like the Siegel Hate Wagon. People - Grow up! I will have to say that I have more fun watching Wade play than Allen. I do like a little attitude on the court, it makes things more interesting.
  2. Why hate? You know some students were made to go to Siegel during the split between them and Oakland, Also some students had to leave Blackman without a choice. All those students are gone now. Maybe its time to loose the resentment, which I don't understand. Jealously, I think. Of what, I don't know. Each school in Murfreesboro has strengths and weaknesses. So what if one school is not good at a certain sport and another is. The sports programs in the high schools run in cycles. Siegel has not been around long enough to have much of a cycle. You know I remember a time when Oakland dominated baseball, Riverdale dominates football, Blackman has soccer. Let's see just because Smyrna won in football doesn't mean they'll repeat next year. Riverdale will always come to mind in football. They have had several cycles over the year. But this year the cycle has come around in basketball for Riverdale. Have they always been a basketball school? Not always. There are no cycles or dominance for Siegel in any sport. They have not been established long enough. So why be jealous or hating?
  3. What ... more nasty flu at the Lavergne game? or did Lavergne actually play well. Lets hear the excuses again Oakland fans.
  4. Homecoming is Friday night for Siegel. Tonight is Senior night.
  5. Thank you so much. It is interesting to see and hear these family names from awhile ago. Almost too long ago. Can't wait to see the Indians here in the Boro come this March.
  6. Thanks so much for your quick response. I live in Murfreesboro now and am waiting for Sequatchie to make an appearance at the state tournament. Can't wait!
  7. Glad to hear she is OK! Not been in the valley in awhile, but I do know of her family. I follow the careers of these athletes of families I know.
  8. Is the Barker girl the coach's daughter and is the Tucker girl's family from Whitwell? Been along time since I've been in the valley! Just curious!
  9. Well lets see - Siegel - overall record 11-14 district record 4-7 Oakland - overall record 20-1 district record 12-0 (?) ranked no. 1 in state polls Beats the stars by 3 points! Man, that must of been some NASTY Flu!
  10. Well Oakland needs to finish themmmmmmmmm a lot better than that if they want to compete on the next level. I also agree with Hooligans, stop with the excuses and give credit where credit is due. On any given night in this great district of basketball, anyone can get beat!
  11. What you saw was a bunch of kids that only come when the Half Timers are performing and the rest were the back rows of the Nation section filled with Middle Schoolers who haven't earn the right to sit there. They're not the true Nation. The true Nation is probably only the first 7 rows in the student section.
  12. I agree! It just makes our district stronger and better,
  13. Read my post again. Never did I discredit anyone. You still did'nt answer a honest question. I never said that Morant was starting because Nick has a passing problem.I don't know where you got that from. I said maturity could be the problem and an answer to why Morant started and not Nick. About the brain storm issue, there is no need belittleing someone just because you don't agree with their opinion. Opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one and everyone else thinks it stinks!
  14. Do you know what " numbers" mean? I don't. Maybe all the coaches you the same game plan and signs and code name... not! Siegel is struggling to find a leader on the floor. Rotation of players is neccessary to find the perfect mix of players. Nick and Gooch are still very young. Morant may be a little more mature on the court than you think. "Not to shoot...", thats a little off don't you think. We were 4 -0 when we had Montori. Tye is probably silent because he has had a lot more trees around him in the last couple of ballgames.
  15. THANK YOU D2D. I SAID A SIMILAR STATEMENT ON ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT PEANUT AND WAS IMMEDIATELY QUESTIONED ABOUT MY OPINION
  16. I wondered when the nickname came about Apology accepted!
  17. No, Peanut is a junior. Last year was his first year to play. I don't remember him going in at all last year. He has such a leadership presence when he on the court. His drive and personality seems to make everyone step up their game. Great guy on and off the court. Even fast and aggressive on the football field.
  18. I think that Cutter is still trying to deal with the leadership position on the team. Still a little immature. It seems he tries to do it all because of the pressure to carry the team. No one shoots. Speed is the only thing Siegel has going for them. Oakland has a better all around team. To play on the state level, Oakland is going to have to get their shot percentage up. Maybe last night was an off night or Siegel's defense was more than they expected. Time will tell!
