  1. Briarcrest won by ten, 64-54. Liberty made 13 three-pointers. Out of their 32 second-half points, 30 of them came from behind the arc. Briarcrest dominated the inside. Leslie McDonald had 22 points, including two highlight dunks, and 12 rebounds. Johnny Williams had 20 points. Gregg Wooten played his usual game and finished with about ten. Freshman wing DeMarc Richardson finished with eight rebounds and six assists.
  2. Leslie scored six points in the final thirty seconds. ECS guard Jonathan Milewski went to the free throw line up two. He made the first one and missed the second, which is strange cuz he is usually automatic from the line. Leslie came down and got fouled on a three point attempt. He made all three. Then on defense, the refs called a foul sending ECS forward Dupree Lytle to the line. Both free throws put them up two. Then with about ten seconds left, Gregg Wooten went off a double screen at the top of the key, turned and passed to McDonald, McDonald pulled up with two guys covering him completely and sank the three.
  3. Seriously? Briarcrest Christian has the hardest schedule in the state, and it's not even close. Name any other team who has played the type of competition the Saints have played. White Station (preseason top 25 nationally) Harding (defending state champions) Chicago Homewood Flossmoor (IL) (in Marshall County, Kentucky) Chicago Simeon (IL) (preseason top 25 nationally; in Marion, Illinois) and then at the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Florida ... Brooklyn Lincoln (NY) (preseason top 10; Lance Stephenson) Duncanville (TX) (five D1 players; PRESEASON NUMBER ONE IN THE COUNTRY) Dunbar (FL) and then at the Arby's Classic in Bristol, Tennessee ... Science Hill Benedictine (OH) (top 10 team in Ohio; Ohio St. signee) Boyd Anderson (FL) (30-2 last season; rolled through Arby's Classic) Bearden (number two in Tennessee class AAA) No other team even comes close to that schedule!
  4. Briarcrest is 23-7. They were not forced to forfeit any games, so they are not 18-12.
  5. I'm not exactly sure. Wave might know the reason, but I believe it was because after he played in a rec game, he sat out the next few games immediately. While the Briarcrest player played in a rec game then participated in the next few games, which made him ineligible. The Briarcrest player only plays about 2 or 3 minutes a game on varsity tho.
  6. Briarcrest turned themselves in for one thing. Not that it completely makes up for it, but that shows that they weren't going to hide it from anyone. CBHS had a player, actually a starter, play rec ball as well.
  7. Leslie McDonald (Briarcrest) for DII. Elliot Williams (St. George's) has missed most of the regional schedule, so I believe McDonald deserves it above everyone else. He was also the MVP of the Arby's Classic.
  8. Briarcrest defeated Archbishop Carroll, 71-61. Leslie McDonald was named MVP after posting 26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals. Gregg Wooten, Elgin Lee, and Johnny Williams made the all-tournament team.
  9. Leslie McDonald is averaging 27 ppg through three games.
  10. It's just a team decision on why Lee isn't playing. He made a mistake and is sitting out for it. He will be back soon.
  11. Leslie McDonald had 34 points and 10 rebounds. Johnny Williams made a lay-up with about 4 seconds left to win the game.
  12. Briarcrest was without starters Leslie McDonald, Elgin Lee, and Jake McCrary. Also seniors Spencer Green, Robbie Zettler, and Chris McDaniel were not with the team. Johnny Williams was #55. He was only eligible for the final four games last season, but should be a huge part of the team's success this season.
  13. Briarcrest's record is 28-7. The scores for 3 wins in the Ft. Walton Playground Area Shootout and a win against St. Benedict in the second round of the region tournament aren't on this site's schedule.
