  1. Maybe so...not that I'm hoping he'll come back! Lol The less talent WC has on the field, the happier I am. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  2. Oh, sorry. Heard they got beat. Bad info, I guess. Well, then good luck to mp & s'town in the regionals.
  3. Caught the end of practice today, there is another big sophomore who didn't play last year. He used to play Jr Pro, but hasn't played in a few years. He could be valuable on the line, though. There is also a really big freshman, so we have 4 big linemen. The rest of the team is pretty small, but size doesn't always matter!
  4. Well, whatever his reasons, it's a shame. Maybe he will change his mind.
  5. I'm referring to the two players who were out at first by a foot, but were called safe and ended up scoring, putting MP up by two. As far as the trash talking, I did not participate in that, but I will say I heard some pretty ugly remarks from the Mp side, it was not just PC. Anyway, we're both out now, good luck to the two teams who are going on.
  6. They were played in the rain. Mt Pleasant beat PC 9-7 with a little help from the umps. Don't know who won the game before that one.
  7. We do have 2 big sophomores, Marcus Smith & Michael Rogers. Don't know a whole lot about how the team is looking because we've been busy with baseball, but the corner you're talking about happens to be my son, so you've made my head swell a little. Thanks! That was pretty awesome at Mt Pleasant when he jumped over that big kid, we have it on video. By the way, he is 5'6" & weighs about 135 lbs. Are you from PC?
  8. Wasn't trying to pick at Rice. The kid is a good football player. Why did he quit?
  9. Got a better look at him tonight, he's bigger than I thought he was. Still not sure about 192 lbs, though.
  10. Then they will have experience as juniors & seniors. I hope you do better this year, don't like to see anybody get whooped up on all the time! PC has had their share of it too. Hang in there.
  11. PC had a freshman starting on defense every game last year, and I'll be willing to bet that a freshman starts at WC this year. Isn't the Rice kid going to high school? And the other one the next year? Then they will be starting a freshman and a sophomore.
  12. 127 tackles? Not bad. He didn't look like he was 192 lbs, though. That might be an exaggeration. Does he play offense at all? With that kind of speed, seems like he would.
  13. Actually, unless TCA goes pretty far in the tournaments, won't baseball be over by then? Unless they are talking about summer baseball. PC is playing in district tournament this week.
  14. I saw him when PC played MtP in baseball. He is definitely fast, apparently his only job is to run bases, but he certainly didn't look big enough to be a linebacker.
  15. If you can figure out who I am, call me. I want to talk to you about this. Thanks!
  16. You need to change that statement a little. Coach Bradley was the only teacher who stuck up for Courtney. There were a lot of parents and students, including me, who stuck up for him; we still do stand by him and want him back as a coach.
  17. You hit the nail on the head. Add small town politics to that list.
  18. Pretty much all of them played major roles.
  19. PC lost 13 players. Have some good talent coming up, but they will be young.
  20. I needed a good chuckle tonight. Hope it was warmer at the beach than it was here.
  21. Okay, thanks for clearing that up.
  22. That is a good question. I'd like to know the answer...if you come from Columbia to play at Mt P middle school, which has open enrollment, can you go to Mt P high school as long as you attended the middle school? If you can, then MtP high really does have open zoning, whether they want to call it that or not. Who can answer the question? Inquiring minds want to know...
  23. Thanks, SS. Another thing I might point out to MtP---there are actually two private schools in our region, and Pc beat both of them: CA and Zion Christian. I think Zion only won one game all season(if they won any at all, can't really remember, but I think they won one), so I don't think being a private school has helped them any. And of course, MtP beat both of those teams; they just happened to lose to a private school in the play-offs. But like I said before, I still do think they do have some advantages, I just don't think it's that big an issue. Of course, I might think differently if PC went to the play-offs and a private school knocked us out of going to the Blue Cross Bowl! LOL
