  1. Gaines had 17 pts and 14 rebounds in the sectional game against Jurick last year. Jurrick has more potential and will probably be better then Gaines in the long run, but i don't see Jurick being better as of right now. Mcadoo is a great athlete who can jump out of the gym , but can't go left or shoot a jumper. I think football is calling his name. Douglas is a horse, but is a big time D1 football prospect.
  2. Way to bounce back in the 2nd half Trox. Nice throws on that last drive, and also nice catches by Neal and Parker on that last drive. Great kick Tro. The talent is there to make a run in the playoffs. I also think we showed more balance on offense tonight. Haven't seen the stats yet but i would guess it was close to 20 passes along with about 25 runs. Also the defense didn't give up any points tonight. Greenbriers scores came on a int. return and a punt return. So great job D, and also I cant remember Chad Neal missing a tackle all year if he hits someone. So keep it up Chad.
  3. Hopefully are passing game will get reved up tonight. But are running game continues to be strong with Dixon and Payne. I think Trox needs to have a great game to get his confidence up for the playoffs. We need to play hard tonight against a solid Greenbrier team. I'll go with WH 31 Greenbrier 20.
  4. Jeremy Barnes -WHITE HOUSE Tyler Cutter -SIEGEL John Jenkins-STATION CAMP Hunter Miller-CPA
  5. Actually, I think the fg would've been from about 46-49 yds against the wind which might've made it feel like about 60 to Trobaugh. I've heard he's kicked some long ones in practice , but i agree with going for it on 4th down like the coaches did , but of course now i wish they would've tried the fg. When you try long fg's you have to get more into your kick to get it there which typically leads to line drives which tend to get blocked. From the kicks we've missed this year i recall they have been low kicks. But i still don't understand why we never throw the ball on 1st down in the 1st 3 qtrs. I think Matthew Johnson is a great High school QB. Too bad Bailey got hurt earlier this year because he is a breakaway back who could score everytime he touched it. I thought Chad Neal had a good game along with Parker and Payne. It could be a three way tie if WH beats Greenbrier, and Pearl beats Station Camp. All would have one loss. What would the tie breaker be for seeding in the playoffs?
  6. Heritage should be higher because the only game they lost Mclung did'nt play. HE should be considered all state as well.
  7. WHITE HOUSE---STARTERS JEREMY BARNES- (6ft senior) 4 year varsity starter. Great shooter. Avg. 11 points , 3-4 assists, 3-4 rebounds, 2-3 steals per game as a junior. CO- MVP of district as a junior. ZACK TROBAUGH-(6 ft senior) Played varsity as freshman , and junior. (didnt play at all soph year) Very good shooter and ball handler . Very smart player and tough defender. GARRETT WOOD-(6ft 5 senior) Another 4 year varsity player. Rebounding machine who has improved his offensive skills the last couple years. A double -double just waiting to happen. Averaged around 8-9 points and 6-7 rebounds per game as junior in the balanced WH attack from a year ago. ROGERS GAINES-(6ft8 senior) ALL-STATE player as a junior. Averaged around 13-14 points and around 8-9 rebounds per game as a junior. Arguably the best offensive center in the state. Had 17 points and 14 rebounds in the sectional game against UT signee Phillip Jurick. 5th starter not yet determined- I would say the candidates would be MICHAEL TRAVIS 6 FT 2 SENIOR. CHAD NEAL 5FT 9 JUNIOR. MATTHEW PARKER. 6FT JUNIOR. Others who could get playing time TROX GREENWADE 6FT3 SOPH. ZACH DUTY 6FT 1 JUNIOR. CHASE NEAL 5FT 8 JUNIOR. DEMARIOUS PAYNE 5FT 6 JUNIOR DEMARQUIS PAYNE 5FT 6 JUNIOR. ROB POINDETER 6FT 2 SOPH. KIRK FULGAM 6 FT 2 SENIOR. AUSSIE LIGHT 6ft 3 SOPH. Last year WH was defeated by DYER COUNTY in the state tournament game on a shot at the buzzer. WH only played 6 players that game. Only 1 off the bench. All of last years starters averaged close to double figures. They were a very unselfish team , and very disciplined. This years team is very DEEP. I could see WH going 10-12 deep this year.
  8. Your list looks pretty good , but i would have to put Chad Neal at DB, and Matthew Parker as the athlete. Im not sure but i believe Neal has about 6 ints. Tennessean has him listed with only 2 . I don't think thats correct at all. And Parker makes his presence felt on offense, defense and special teams. Take nothing away from Demarqus because he's the lightening of the "thunder and lightening" combo with he and Dixon. Also he does a great job at corner with his brother.
  9. I usually dont agree with Firebird Nation but i agree with him on this. Mason is a great high school QB. He might not stay at QB at KY but he will be good wherever they play him. He should be the MVP of the region even if they finish 3rd in the region. Im not sure about his offensive line, and that might be why their team has stuggled a little lately. You HAVE to win the battle up front. You take MASON away from Pearl and how good will they be???
  10. I would say the candidates so far would be Duante Mason Pearl Cohn Matt Parker WH Chad Neal WH Matthew Johnson SC Ladarious Moore SC I would have to say Mason so far , but it could come down to the WH/SC game next week. Lets hear other opinions on this.
  11. Did'nt expect that either. That should get Heritage some respect throughout the state. Have'nt seen the stats yet but I imagine Mclung was huge like he's been all year. Great job Heritage.
  12. This will be a punch you in the mouth type game. Like you said should be very physical. White House has struggled so far when they've played good defenses. (ALCOA & BEECH) I don't see that happening against SC. I'll go with WH 27 SC 17.
  13. Eggs we're thrown in 2004. I was there. They we're also thrown last year in the playoff game.
  14. Around Middle tn you have to say WHITE HOUSE, STATION CAMP, LIVINGSTON ACADEMY , and CPA would be the favorites . DYER COUNTY , MITCHELL , BTW , DYERSBURG out West. East would be HOWARD. MCMINN CENTRAL could be tough.
  15. Hopefully they will change one of the games to a Thursday or Saturday.
  16. Can we talk now? The speed between Alcoa and Pearl is like night and day. It wasnt even close. White House is finally starting to get healthy, but we still need to get that passing game clicking. The talent is definetly there.
  17. I would love to see Big Daddy Gaines play against Mason. How big is Mason? i think i heard about 6 ft 7 260. Is that close? Gaines is 6 ft 7 about 320 , and has great hands. I've seen most of the better players in Tn play, but haven't watched Mason.
  18. Jonathon Newbill , Michael Lewis, Brian Hunter, several more good players. Not sure how many seniors they have , but i would guess around 7. I've heard Newbill is being recruited by some smaller D1 schools.
  19. Mine would be. 1) White House -Very deep team this year. Lots and lots of experience, and depth. Gaines is a returning ALL-STATE player and as good offensively as any center in the state. Barnes is a starter since his freshman year , and the returning co-MVP of the district. Wood has played varsity since his freshman year, and has turned into a very solid player. This is Trobaughs 3rd year on varsity after sitting out his soph year. WH could go as much as 12 deep. Head coach Danny Mathis is gone and time will tell how that effects the team. I personally thought he was a coaching genious. 2) Station Camp - Very, very close to WH in my opinion. Only have them 2nd because of WH's depth and experience. Could overcome WH before its over. Great young coach in Seth Massey. Return super-star shooter in Jenkins who has improved his athletic ability since last year. Also return very good players in Terrell , Brown, Moore, and West. 3)CPA-Coached by former Vandy player Drew Maddox who has got a very good team this year. Led by Hunter Miller , and Zach Mason. 4) Livingston Academy- Great pt guard in Chase Dunn who can play with the best of them. Also have a lot of experience back from last year. 5) Harpeth-You can never count out Harpeth. Giltner's a great player. You can never count out Lipscomb
