  1. Thanks ANIMAL for posting it. SH could have just as easily had 8 champions as opposed to 6 but you know how it goes ... you win some ... you lose some. Additionally, there were a few who didn't make the wrestle-offs that could probably have earned their way to state too if given the opportunity. Good luck to all 13 Toppers at State!
  2. Regional Trny Day 1 The Hill - 14 matches - 14 pins
  3. If KingGreene is who I think he is, he too should be thanked for his contribution, having worked with a number of the wrestlers as well.
  4. Was anything written anywhere about Ferrace's induction? I didn't see anything in the paper nor on the website.
  5. Some photos from the Brawl can be found on the website of Allen Greene Photography. Here's a link: http://allengreene.zenfolio.com/p631738686
  6. Most have been very complimentary, however there are a few on two different threads making excuses and saying that Parkland would win comfortably in a dual meet. Hence you will see a long post from me there answering a few questions and stating an opinion on how the dual would have gone down hypothetically. How about links to those forums. I'd like to read what they have to say too.
  7. By and large the NC folks have been very complimentary of the tournament, the talent, and in particular CBHS. Nothing out of line that I have seen. People can check out what they have to say at http://www.ncwrestlingscoutreport.com/f ... =7&t=11297.
  8. Here's a direct link to the Brawl web page. Below the team scores you will find a link for the scores for all matches in Excel xls. http://www.sciencehillsports.com/200920 ... /id16.html
  9. Jeff Price received his 400th win last night with his 61-10 win over Dobyns-Bennett.
  10. Science Hill 61, Dobyns-Bennett 10 Coach Price gets his 400th win.
  11. From what I understand Adam Mann is out with an injury. Austin sounds strong though. The meet will be a tri on Thursday including South. This is the first of 3 days at Freedom Hall. Skip Friday for a moment... The 10th Annual Fandetti-Richardson Brawl is on Saturday with 17 teams representing 6 states. There will be some very tough competition with a lot of state level wrestlers involved. The girls will be wrestling as well. On Friday evening, there will be a quad with SH wrestling a tough Hewitt-Trussville (AL) and Greenback. Christian Brothers will wrestle them as well (not SH - they matched up at the Cleveland duals) These teams will be in town for the Brawl. Also on Friday evening (there will be 5 mats out for the Brawl on Sat) there will be an AAU event for the younger wrestlers. For more info go to http://www.ScienceHillSports.com and follow the links to the main wrestling area.
  12. So if I read this right, everybody gets at least 4 matches... three in their pool plus one with another. One more if you're winning. Should be a good day!
  13. Coach, Would you mind to explain how the pools work in this case for some of us ignorant country boys?
  14. 160 in consolation is incorrect. Matt Cruise won by forfeit for 3rd place.
  15. Science HIll finals winners: Schurlknight 112 Schurlknight 119 Goldstein 125 Pierce 135 Stull 152 Cruise 160 Cannon 189 Lewis 215 3rd: Max Vaugn 103 Barnett hw Somebody may correct this but its is what I remember. My guess is some of the kids wrestled up a weight class. Knowles finished 2nd and Elliott Vaughn finished 4th at 171. Also Wesley Vaughan finished 4th. A good day for SH wrestlers finishing with about 275 points vs 206 last year.
  16. Yeah I crawled up out of there after the first grade. It took a lot of years away from Slate Creek for my legs to get back to the same length. There is a lot of story to tell about Grundy and the wrestling program ever since the wrestling facility was built up on the mountainside and they started bringing in talent to teach. What did change 10 years ago?
  17. Check the wrestling section on http://www.ScienceHillSports.com. There is a page on the Fandetti-Richardson Brawl.
  18. Waage Takedown at SH is Saturday, Nov. 14, not Sunday. Also, just to be clear, the Fandetti-Richardson Brawl will be held at Freedom Hall Civic Center in JC, not at the high school.
  19. Our deepest sympathies from everyone at Science Hill.
  20. I guess nobody wants to talk much about this one. Toppers won it, 24 - 21.
  21. For wrestlers not sleeping over, what time do they need to be there and where? I haven't been able to find any registration info on here or on your the KC website. Do the wrestling sessions start Sunday evening or Monday morning? Any forms required that the kids need when they get there?
  22. They will hold the camp at the Parks and Rec Gym on Legion Street in Johnson City.
