Looks like LA will just have to "show" White House" what we are talking about. Telling them obviously does no good. Good luck to both teams, but I still say LA wins this one 9 times out of 10. But this could be that one time. LA just needs to take care of business and let their game do the talking.

The game may be close but LA will win. White House's big guy, the one that doesn't play defense, won't have that luxury when he plays LA. If Coach Melton goes with his smaller line-up every now and then his man will just shoot the 3 all night long (someone like TJ Smith). Their big man will be wore out in the first quarter. Don't get me wrong, he is a good player, just cant play the same type of ball that LA plays. LA also has the advantage in the guard category. White House didn't seem to handle the ball very well and seems really struggle with full court pressure. The LA press will be a key in the game. LA also has a deeper and more talented bench. I think we saw that in the Station Camp game. Coach Melton has about 10 kids that can flat out play and they all play their hearts out. Doesn't matter if they are on the floor for 2 minutes or 2 quarters, they give it their all. GO LA

Wow. Thats some prediction. LA will be back to 100% by tomorrow. Let alone Thursday. "Big Slow Kid" from LA??? Which big kid are you talking about again? The one from LA or the one from White House that doesn't play defense? LA wins by 12. More if Dunn gets hot again.

What happened to Pickett Co.? Congrats to Jackson Co. Pickett County would be a better team in the rest of the post season, but they didn't take care of Jackson County first.

Awesome game. White House better watch out. After a game like that LA will be ready to roll on into a sub-state home game. Won't be easy though. They will have to work. I'm glad LA is playing White House though. I didn't want them to have to play Upperman again. As long as LA's big men can handle the big kid from White House, I think LA should be able to win. I don't think White House can beat the full court pressure the Wildcats are going to bring. From what I saw White House didn't have many ball handlers other than #15.. (I think that was his number)

It sure is. Looks like this Region is LA's to lose. Looks like a great year to make it to State to me!

Coach Melton will need a notepad to keep up with all of that. lol. I'm sure he will take care of things in his own way. GO LA. A win is a win. I agree with the "scrappy" part though.

Just wanted to say way to go to the LADY TIGERS from Hilham. I heard that they had a great game to win the TNT State Tournament.

Sounds like South Side had a great year. The Allons Hawks finished with a record of 27-3. They lost to Mt. Juliet and Friendship Christian and not real sure about the other one. They will be losing quite a bit with four 8th graders heading to LA.

Yes they did. It was a great game. Both teams played hard right up to the end. Congrats Hilham. Keep it up. The Allons boys team got beat by Mt. Juliet. They gave it a great effort, but came up short.

Good post. I'm just not one to say much about a coach unless I know for a fact that I know more than the coach I am talking about. I was brought up to believe that as long as the coach was the coach, you went with what he said, no questions asked. If we are going to complain then I would complain about who is in charge of hiring or firing Fulmer. I don't know very much about football, don't pretend to. From the way the college kids talk to today, the problem is with recruiting. Kids these days rather go to a school close to the coast or in a big party city. Knoxville just doesn't seem to have much appeal to the college kids that we need to recruit. Especially if the team can't finish within the Top 10.

I am very curious about this as well. I haven't heard anything for sure, but I heard that either her dad or mom was upset with the lack of playing time she got at camp.. then I heard that her family was moving to baxter anyways... Who knows? I wish her the best. She will be a good player when she gets older. I think Upperman will finish at the top of the district winning both games against LA during the season, but then LA takes the district tournament game. Thats true. But when you got the heart and desire that the LA boys have along with a coach like Melton you are going to go a long way... Its not going to hurt anything. Just have to find new girls with different birthdays and play in different age groups. Shouldn't be all that big of a change or they wouldn't have made it.

I agree with that some what. Solomon must just be one of those spoiled fans who expects to win every game. I'm sure Fulmer has some sort of reason for his play calling. Maybe Fulmer has strong confidence in the plays he called and the "talent" just didn't execute. Maybe he continued to call the plays he called because the Defence was vulnerable in those spots and maybe the "talent" didn't execute...?? Who knows?? No reason to give the guy such a hard time if you really don't know what your talking about....

I'm around. Avery Trace certainly gave Rickman a run for their money late in the game. The Championship game should be lots of fun. I think Hilham will win the close game.

The SEC is loaded... The Vols have lost a few games. stinks, yes it does. But, how many coaches do you know of that can win every game they coach in the SEC. Not even Spurrier can do that. I think Fulmer has done it once though. Quit crying. We know Fulmer is a great coach. If you can't stick with HIM and the Vols during what we call a let down year... Then your not really a fan. We can still win the SEC. In my opinion, whoever wins it is the REAL national champion regardless of their overall record. And we got people that want him fired...ha

I give Pickett Co. the nod in this district. Bibb is a great coach as well.
