I would say that South Pitt has one of the bigger stadiums in Tennessee. I have been to several 5A stadiums that were smaller than South Pitt. You will have plenty of room on the visitors side.

Well hats off to sp yall played a decent game. I think both teams were fairly evenly matched. Like zp said the big boys would decide this game and our O line sucks. We had way to many chances to score and just threw them away. KL says, the Pirate D completely dominated the Jasper offense. This game could have easily been 35-8 with all the dropped interceptions that we had. Get a life dude.

KL just home from the game, just wondering about something. Maybe TTP can help KL out. Did the Pirates OVERACHIEVE tonight or did the Warriors UNDERACHIEVE? The Pirates only won by 6 in middle school, but won by 12 tonight. The Pirate D showed up and completely shut down the Warrior offense. KL didn't hear that train whistle too much tonight either. I agree with PowerP, our offense is not very good. I think Whitwell could have stopped us some tonight. We must go to work on the offense. But on the other side, if our D plays this well, we only need to score 2 or 3 times. There were several interceptions that were dropped, that if caught could have been 6 points easy. This game could have easily been 35-0 due to the Pirate D returning some interceptions for TD's. KL is not complaining, will take a win at Baxter Stadium anytime. OP, thought I saw you tonight up on the top row with a Black hat on. Was you covering up that scarred head? Looks like the skillet slinger had you in check up there. OP, I did see some holes in the fences over their on that purple clad side. Reckon they was a cuttin holes in the fences to try to sneak out early.

MC has speed and strength this year for the first time in a long time. Sp is fast as always but they have a lot of young players. Corpio isn't above anyone on the marion team. Truth is he is a little small to be a running back, hands are too small to be qb. He is electric, and he probably should get more touches but it is early in the year so you just need to chill out. The best player is touching the ball in Nick Wells, so maybe you should go ahead and put the orange and black attire on for next year I don't think this fan has ever denied he supports one player more than the team as a whole, and he's said on here he intends to be supporting SP next year. Nah, he has already jumped the fence. Hopefully TTP and BigJ will keep in around in purple and white, cause we don't want him back.

Marion County is not afraid of yall because we played alcoa last year and they are far better than what yall are and we still hung with them untill the end. Our boys will be ready I don't think sp is that much better than us which u will see come friday but if we play like we did last friday then we won't stand a chance and thats the case against any good team. OP u need to learn how to talk or don't speak at all. Yea, great job for hanging with Alcoa LAST YEAR! MC is missing some key components off last years team. One big key is Joe Muir. I think you will realize how much he meant to the team. I can tell you that SP missed Robert Robinson alot last year. My how much better would we have been. Most SP fans would agree he would have been a difference maker in the 3rd round last year.

this sounds like the stuff yall were saying last year. Don't get me wrong , we need to play better up front and get some kinda offense going but we are WAAAY better than our record. I dare say Hampton or anybody else in our region would have a better record than us against the 2 teams we've played. Johnson County couldn't carry G-P's jock strap and you know it. Totally agree..........................Last year when the pirates scored a couple of quick ones Marion laid down, and if they do that, it will get ugly very very quickly...........Like I said last year, marion will have to play almost the perfect game to be in it at the end. Surely cant put it on the ground 7 times or have touchdowns called back like they have had 5 in the past two weeks, not to mention all of the penalties. FOR 2009 fan...........maybe if corpio has a problem, he needs to go talk to coach boeck and see how he can help the team and get more involved as a leader, and not cry to you about it. Be careful TTP, this could become a problem for the team. I have seen one star player have a negative effect on a team at all levels.

Tough luck to Grunt and the Jackets. This could be a good thing for the Jackets in the end. Might make them more hongry and ready to put those long stingers in someone's buttocks. Respect is earned not given and quite frankly besides a lucky season last year the the warriors have not done anything since the mid 90's and that whistle has been silent thank the good Lord!! Wow, I still can't believe you asked SP fans for respect for Jasper lol..Now thats funny! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddddd, other than a couple of times since the midnineties, the Great SP has largely, with all of those athletes been underachieving!!! Really, how many more state championships should yall have 4 or 5 during that time?? KL will partially agree with TTP here, but would be hesitant to call it underachieving. KL can think of 4 teams that had a chance to win it all. These team include 1993,1998, 2003, and 2008. All of these teams were talented enough to win, but made some crucial mistakes that cost us the game. All 4 of these teams fell to the eventual state champ with 3 out of the 4 being to Trousdale County. Dang them. Im not saying that falling short of a state championship is acceptable, but getting beat by an equally talented team happens all the time. If we can win 60-70% of the state championships we are supposed to, we will have plenty of gold in the case. KL questions TTP on calling kids "underachievers" over and over when they go out and lay it on the line and make sacrifices for their respective team. KL thinks you would probably have much more respect for these guys if you had ever had the guts to put on the pads and play the game.

Rhea was definitely the weakest team there and one guy said howard didn't get inside the 20 but only scored on two big plays. If they are big plays then of course they didn't get inside the 20, and if that is the case, sp didn't get inside the 20 to many times on us last year either........................ . Howard was typical howard, big and fast, but they didn't know what they were doing on offense........they did have a college size line though............huge. There goes SP underachieving again. Can't even get inside the 20.

Wonder why? The banter between these two schools make for some great reading. One school you have a great deal of respect for, and the other school you may meet with the new playoff format. But what I can't understand is, how does MC even have a leg to stand on to talk all this trash. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this years Sr. class at MC has never even come close to beating SP, getting out scored 32-143. Ouch! I know Sp lost some key players, and I've read MC did as well. Have the Warriors really made up 35 points? 111? Maybe KL, OP, and the rest of the Pirate Nation know what they are talking about. We've got a lot returning from a Championship squad last year on both sides of the ball. Remember, we beat the school that beat you by 35 last year, and the school that you squeaked by (5 pnts) in the second round, by 20. Don't think with the new playoff format that you guys are going to have an easier road to Cookeville. We've been there, done that. Four times since you guys have, but hey, that was just in little ol 1A. I hope we do get to face each other this year. That'll mean we both had pretty good seasons. Seven, Them there folks done went and put those rose colored glasses back on. They are a having mid 90's flashbacks. . Whether they want to admit it or not, they lost alot with Joe Muir. He was about like Montrell Mitchell (#25) was for us. TC returns alot of players and will be tough again. I would have to say that the road to Cookeville in 2A will travel through the Creekbank.
