Hardin County, Liberty, Brighton, and Munford should all pretty evenly matched again this year..
Its hard to say who the favorite is this early in the season but it will definitely be another intersting year in district 13AAA
New coach for Liberty is Danny Giles. This is very good news to a program on the upswing. He is young and knows the game. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
Huntigdon wins 1-0 and are headed to the championship against the winner of JCS/Friendship..
JCS is up 6-0 after four...
Looking like a possible all west tennessee matchup for the title
i think bartlett will take this one but i sure wouldnt count brighton out of it..
they have a very tough lefthanded pitcher in Colter Millikan who didnt give up a run all season in district play and was named district MVP...
Good luck to both teams
there was a regular season first place tie between hardin county and brighton. Therefore there was no automatic bid to region and it all came down to the tournament..
Liberty number 1, Brighton number2
Liberty won over brighton 1-0 this afternoon for the championship.
a well pitched game for both teams. gavin lindsey( allowed 3 hits) for Liberty and Jeremy White(allowed just 2 hits) for Brighton..
both threw complete games but liberty just pulled it out in the end on a walk-off base hit by evan walls..
good luck to both teams as they play in region next week.
these 2 games should be very interesting... i would have to say its pretty much a toss up.
both teams are very solid all around.
i would love to see a keck/Irvin matchup.
if im not mistaken, all bolivar has to do is split and they take the district title??
Ripley got off to a very hot start but have dropped a few games the last week or two that they probly should have won...
Jeffrey Edwards is the number 2
i agree... Lexington is a VERY talented team with VERY talented players and they do have a great shot to go deep into the state tournament.. but we dont need topics like this to tell us how good they are.
With that said- Good luck to the Tigers, and I wish them the best.
i saw this kid pitch a little last year...
Pretty decent fastball with some mean off-speed pitches.
he is definitely a pitcher who can make a hitter look foolish.
Liberty has a good baseball program... they have had 20 wins each of the four years of the program..
they should do very well this year even with the loss of 5 key seniors.. A young but talented team so it should be interesting to see what happens.
