i agree, but i also feel like hampton has scheduled pretty tough opponents in johnson co 4a unicoi co. 4a happy valley 2a chuckey doak 2a and a solid 1a school in onieda. cloudland cosby and unaka will all be improved this year as well as hampton so i am pretty sure that hamptons competition is far from soft, but whoever says that obviously has no idea what they are talking about because hampton has made state semifinals appearances the past two years. must be doing something right.

region 4 is the best region by far, i think that coalfields region might have region 1 beat as far as overall teams go.

jordan is 6'0 215 and ran a 4.6

1. Gordonsville- in my opinion the best team in 1a as of right now. 2. FC- state runner up in a close championship game last season and rickaway is back. they should be tough 3. Trousdale- porobably the best coaching in 1a football. good team year in and year out. 4. Bruceton- two players who could possibly be playing d1 football next year (alex matlock TE and Chad Jordan RB). 5. Hampton- back to back semi-finals appearances, great defense. they return a load of talent and experience.

why dont you post your ideal schedule for hampton and we will see what it looks like.

i think it's pretty hard to make the arguement that any other region is better than reion 4 team for team. gordonsville or friendship christian could have easily been the no. 1 and 2 team in the state. i know that someone is going to bring up the fact that friendship was beaten by jackson christian; not to take anything away from jcs but i am pretty confident that friendship or gordonsville could beat them about 7 out of 10 times. last year or this year

i dont look for marco pleasant to be much better than last year. when a team relies on one player to win games it always fails sooner or later

what round did mt. dailey go out in last season. they must not be doing too much right. i would take almost any team in region 4 over them.

Hampton - Gordonsville Mt. Dailey - Bruceton

someone told me that the game is at johnson county again to make up for when hampton played them at home 2 years straight (05' and 06' seasons). but i'm not positive... the new guy looked pretty good in the schrimmage. i feel pretty good about this team. a couple of people have told me that roop looks alot better also. i have heard alot of good news about this team

most of the starters are back this year if i'm not mistaken.

what type of competition does dailey play against? i'm sure he is an exceptional athelete to be able to put up numbers like that. i was just coureous how good the teams that mt. pleasant plays against are.

did the middle linebacker from last years team sign anywhere for football?

only time will tell if hampton will be as good as they were last season. you never can tell which players will step up when the season rolls around. jonathan lyons didnt look great in the spring of last year or even in the first couple of games, but when the end of the season rolled around he was the man to go to. there are a few players on this team that i could see being game breaking athletes. dustin milhorn and e.j. newbern look really impressive. overall this years team is very experienced, and solid at every position. there may be more talent all over the field on this team than either of the past two hampton teams. but like you said it is hard to judge how a team is going to be based on a schrimmage with a bad 4a team.

why do you keep bringing up some "study hall" thing? you dont make any sense. and i'm not sure what kind of "situation" you keep talking about either. atleast at hampton our kids are performing up to par academically, which is more than we can say for the boys up the creek. maybe unaka needs a "study hall" they may learn to read on a higher than third grade reading level if they start the whole study hall thing up there . however, i dont think this thread was intended for talking about how unaka fails meet the academic requirements year in and year out or how dumb the creekers are (which everyone already knows), so i'm going to try not to get in to that discussion. i'll try to get back on subject now... i have heard that hampton is schrimmaging a team either this week or next week. does anyone know who they are schrimmaging or when it is exactly?

nobodys trying to avoid your post the reason no one is responding is because you make no sense. youre either legally retarted or you was smoking dope during english class in high school. could you explain what you was trying to say a little better because you are confusing the heck out of me, i have no clue what you are talking about in your post.

i believe that when the sherriff said "we could find no criminal acts" that was proof enough also. no i wouldnt do the same thing if he text messaged my daughter or brought her gifts. holding signs out side the cc board of education criticizing the way men do their jobs is not my thing, thats not how i handle my problems. the problem is being addressed and he will be punished if he did anything wrong. we have done been through this once, i think that she just wants money out of it, thats just my opinion. i have already admitted that his actions were questionable in earlier posts numerous times. however, i feel that it is wrong that everyone wants to say he is guilty and point the finger before the findings of the investigation have even been shown. unaka is the worst when it comes to drugs and they might kick out a few but not if they mean anything to any of their athletic programs. heck, the whole starting lineup of the boys and girls basketball teams with the exception of maybe one player was on drugs a couple of years ago. i'm not saying that the school can make personal choices for them i am just saying that unaka is a drug infested slum, and nothing will change my mind about that. thats all i'm trying to say. ahmen brother

i will harp on unaka however i want because if you will look back i didnt start it, when people are on here harping on us i feel the need to harp back. i was simply stating the facts. drugs are at every school. but you ask anyone outside of unaka which school is the worst in the county for drugs and they will tell you unaka. heck you can go to a unaka football game and over half of the kids attending are stoned out of their minds, maybe that has something to do with those low test scores. where is your proof of coaches preying on children at hampton, a womans words in the news paper. i dont consider that proof
