Macon County is a very good team but will be in trouble in big games if coach white does not quit running all thru one kid and use his weapons.

If Macon’s coach keeps playing keep away and stall ball, Upperman will win one of these late matchups. He needs to let his horses run and go.

Not sure about the Warren County problems etc, sounds like parents don’t like things going on. But one thing for sure the Cookeville team is the dirtiest playing team I have seen this summer, some of the excessive stuff that is being allowed is not good representation of that program.

Man how times change we are bashing the same coach that went 29-1 couple years ago and won three straight district titles to be replaced, Lund’s like someone’s son not getting what the parents think they’d should get. Man our school would take Mitchell in a heartbeat to lead our boys team.

Really dont know who the MVP of the regular season should be, but to say take Blevins off of Yorks team and they would not be very good is an invalid statement right now. Going into tonight they are in 6th place, I would be willing to say take him off the team and they finish at least in 6th place, so look another place if the kid is that dominate they would be in the top 3, maybe its coaching not putting him in the right spots to succeed instead of having him 21 feet from the basket.

Another disappointing post season loss for the Tigers, our teams are underachieving in the postseason.

If cannon county has never had a middle school they are will never get one. But do they not have jr league football teams, if I was the football coach knowing that I don't have a so called middle school team I would put coaches on my staff or go himself to the younger league teams and be active and take advantage of that resource and get those kids skilled in the things they need to know before high school football. Making excuses will never work on any level take what you have a work with it and make it the best. But after what I witnessed on Friday night in Smithville it does not matter what this current coach does it will not change, he as a coach is way behind any middle school coach. Maybe the administration will make a change and at least put some priority in the football program.

Redmolly- For the sake of your fans and your team they should have agreed to that from the start. The only negative that could have happened to Dekalb County is getting someone hurt for the playoffs. The game was one of the worst of the so called rivalry games that I have seen. Cannon County coaches looked like they could have cared less about the game last night. I know it's been a long year for the Lions but maybe they will make a change in Woodbury and at least get a coach not based on gimmicks it sounds like and get someone with some fire and want to about themselves.

To be honest tnhoosier your mistaken to on some comments, she Did play with York and so did meadows in summer camp going into there freshman years, those two young ladies played the entire summer with the lady dragons programs and then transferred to clarkrange in July

One of the worst games I have ever witnessed absolute shame and version if coaching I have ever seen. To be honest love Tiger football but wish I would have just stayed at home and watched it on tv. This topic and subject can go on forever, look at the history they have never been good with the exception of one year. Have they been competitive sure they have in games, but that gets you nothing, it's the area and dynamics basketball is the sport in Woodbury always has been and always will be, end of story. That's true Redmolly but you also have to have the guidance and positive direction to mover forward and learn everyday and win also everyday, and it looks like that the current head coach lacks in all of those areas.

The biggest concern with the program and coaches for the rest of this year will be keeping the kids engaged now and coming to practice everyday for really no reason to finish the season at this point

just an extremely bad situation in Woodbury. Problem with this situation a rivalry game with cannon and dekalb on week 10 will have no one at the game in Smithville because the game will mean nothing at all

Wbryguy and Redmolly here is a question to ponder since you guys are closer to the situations, with the boys walking the hallway that do not play football what would the score be if those guys played the actual football team.

Redmolly don't know who you are but you seem close to the situation down there in Woodbury. It amazes me of the excuses that everyone has for them not having the resources etc to be good football team, when it sounds like and looks like the number 1 reason is the lack of coaching ability of the head coach, whether it be game planning or having control of the players or just the simple knowledge of the game of football. The kids are there in the school on the boys side which is evident by the success of your basketball program they evidently have a coach that can control situations and keep parents out of the involvement and let him coach and be successful. Does not seem to be any daddy ball in the gym and that's what's best. If your basketball team can have continued success with the right person who is capable of coaching and not having daddy help him out all the time from what people are saying maybe they can break the norm of 3 wins per year average and go to 4 but who knows .

Then he will never be let go until daddy is off the board and that's a shame in this day and age but hey that's how it works sometimes in small towns. Guess people will have to wait until basketball starts to see a winner in woodbury
