joey jackson, freshman mvp, jared batte and craig roper- first team keepers. some might argue that shelbyvilles goalie deserves it more than jared but if it came down to skill and who is the better keeper, not just who has the best defence, then i think jared would definately win. mj? what do you think?

ryan is very good. i will definately give him that. but joey jackson is amazing for a freshman.

coffee county has been rather inconsistant lately. they are great and then they arent. tomorrows game against tullahoma is all going to depend on if they decide to bring it or not. we will see. it might be a great game, it might not.

you know how football teams are. that field is precious. we barely ever get to touch it. its ridiculous. but yea. shelbyville coffee county today should be a very good game. im thinking the game is going to be decided by the who can control the middle and pull the balls out of the air. both teams are strong both offensively and defensively from what i have seen.

im gonna have to agree with this guy. the freshmen pretty much rock. wait till they are seniors and the competition is going to be heavy.

im pretty sure mjuhb is right. you can sub after a soft yellow. i havent seen it done any other way. we have always been allowed to sub in at the next throw in/goal kick.

that is rather depressing. ive seen james play and he is very very good. id kill to play like him. he is a great keeper. having a strong keeper affects the whole team. they are more confident in things like dropping the ball and such. but i am pretty sure that riverdale will bounce back.

actually its a bit different than last year, coffee county is not on block schedule like tullahoma and when kevin signed up for his classes he thought that the maximum he was supposed to have was three because of what happened to mark last year but because coffee co is on a normal schedule TSSAA requires that you be enrolled in five classes.. he had absolutely no idea and apparently neither did any of our guidance counselors because it went un noticed until last friday.. as soon as my coach realized it he called TSSAA and told them so every game played up to today is forfeited and there is no way that kevin can pick up another class because the deadline was jan. 31st.. he is a senior this year, one of our captains, he was the freshman district mvp, one of our leading goal scorers and now he can only watch from the sidelines..

I saw them play in a preseason tournament. i know it was only thirty minute games but they didnt look half bad for a first year team at all. they held their own. they had a good bit of speed. i dont think stone memorial is anything special at the moment but in a couple of years who knows?

the 50% rule says that fifty percent of the players on a highschool team cannot play on the same offseason club team. or something along those lines. which would really stink for places like tullahoma where there is only one club team around. but luckily it didnt pass.

im not gonna name names but one team last year took the coffee county keeper out in the first minute of the game. i have photo evidence if you dont believe me. i believe you probly remember that game cooke7. afterwards the players were giving eachother fives and laughing about it. the keeper ended up going to the hospitol with a ruptured spleen and bruised ribs or somthing along those lines.

i agree, this all depends on if tullahoma can get it together tonight. warren county is consistently good. tullahoma is inconsistent. but when they are on, man they are on. i dont think you could rightly predict an outcome, like mueller said, its definatly a toss up.

you see, this is what i love about soccer. i have not been playing since i was 6 like most of the people who play highschool soccer and still am not as experienced as id like to be. But there is a difference in soccer and the half a dozen other sports i have played. Soccer is a real sport of honor, integrity and real sportsmanship. No football team would ever have given a touchdown back. neither would any baseball team give up a run. i know that from experience. Its moments like those that ,even though i am criticized for playing a "communist sport", make me completely proud to say that i play soccer.

well at any rate, coffee county-tullahoma is going to be a great game. personally i cant wait. it would be great to have a match just like last year, but i dont think either side is going to settle for a tie this time.

wait wait wait. why is it that you all automatically assume that coffee county is gonna lose to shelbyville and tullahoma? coffee county beat warren county who beat shelbyville in their playday a couple of weeks ago. and coffee county also held tullahoma to a 0-0 tie last year. and they are looking even stronger this year.
