One of Pages freshmen center backs and Spring Hills senior goal scorer were battling it out throughout the game and emotions got high. In the second half Spring Hill girl fouled Page girl and pushed her to the ground then both started shoving each other. Both were shown the red and will miss next two matches. Spring Hill is big and strong and are a very good side but will be hurting against CPA without that one girl if that is one of their next two matches.

CPA, Page, and Spring Hill are all in the same district so only two will get to have the chance. Last season CPA beat Page and tied Spring Hill to finish 1st in regular season and then Page tied Spring Hill as well. Page ended up putting CPA out in the District Semifinals and then beat Spring Hill for the Championship. Spring Hill wins the Region Championship and goes to State. Looks like it will be another interesting year.

CCS got it done tonight over Baylor! Looks like their ranking is well deserved if not higher. Good job Cal. It will be interesting to see who wins the MLK vs Lipscomb game. Winner might deserve a look at the top 10. Lipscomb is young and you could tell in the game Monday vs Page and in Lipscomb's start to the season. I won't be surprised to see Lipscomb becoming strong towards the end of the season if they can get all of their players healthy and ready.

Page 3 Centennial 1 Robbie Stewart has CHS very organized and did great in creating space and playing out of the back. Their number 13 in the center was awesome to watch. She has great vision, skill, and her SAQ is above and beyond so many girls in high school soccer. It was a great game, Page was able make a good read and intercept a ball being switched for the first goal. Second goal they were able to find a great angle and a great first touch past the back line. Each team had a penalty for the other goals where the defenders were just working hard to deny the other team.

That was a great game last night! CPA is a very good team. It will be awesome to see another Page vs CPA District final.

Fun stuff! I remember playing a similar game in high school against DCA in the late 90's. I dove for a cross around the penalty mark and next thing I know I am untangling my foot in the back of the net.

Lipscomb Academy and Page had a great game last night. 2-1 LA at half and 3-2 LA final with the winning goal in the final minute of the game. Good luck to Lipscomb, they have another good team this year.

I think this is a great way to make sure the two best teams advance. The team that wins the regular season has shown they are consistent with being a good side. One bad game shouldn't stop the best team from representing their district in the Region and State tournament.
