This is being blown out of porportion...There should be absolutely no complaining from Maryville on this matter. If anything they should be happy to have to play Oak Ridge at Oak Ridge compared to West at Maryville in the Region semifinal...Muth did it to prevent Maryville from scoring and basically winning the game..there was no show boating or laughing..heck Muth and Ridge are best friends..there were high fives yes...he stopped a goal..sometimes people get excited about that.

I do have a question for all the high school certified referees...Joseph already was carrying a yellow card when he made this foul. Does the red over ride the fact that he already was carrying a yellow. Wouldnt it be considered a soft red? I know the play deserved a straight red but i was just seeing what the rule is on this one

You should see the teams they played there...some schools have played No ONE and are in the top five with losses. I dont see how that is fair. Same on Eurosport.com

Why is DB so underated.. They are having a terrific season..They atleast deserve top 3/4 in AAA

JP2 had a great weekend. Came out with some lucky results though. I play for Farragut and we didnt have such a hot weekend......result wise. We played some brilliant soccer. First off..Congrats on the win John Paul but...we outplayed you in every way possible to outplay a team with out winning. You have a great team but dont get too big of a head. Next..Christian Brothers IS the top 1 or 2 team in the state over teams in their Division like JP, Baylor, and McCallie. I think CB could beat all of these teams when they play fresh. The CB game was an excellent soccer game. Even though there were some miss calls that players got mad about and the game was extremely physical!....both teams actually respected eachother. I just wish the game would of gone to overtime to find the winner. I must say though that CB is the team to beat this year "on a normal gameday" , watch out for them at state. Congrats on the wins JPII, you found a way to win both though. I would love to see the next game between CB and JPII, CB will play some insanely good soccer that game.

Pk should then of been awarded. If you do not affect the play, then you can not be called for offsides.

Im a four year referee which is actually very very in experienced, but I would have to agree with the call made. Since the player that was fouled was in an offsides position when he got the ball he is basically dead after he recieves the ball. Same as if he scored...it would be called back. Same with the foul, the offsides would over rule the foul that took place afterwards. The player that comitted the foul could still be carded and etc. but the play would resume from the spot of the offsides. Fellow refs agree?

Ahhhh, so this means that Spring Valley are basically "spring" national champions. This was there last test of the season unless Northwestern meet again in the State championship game and they lose And thanks NICK haha
