This could be the best quote I've seen on here since I have started reading. Right on the money, it is not Upward football. I am all for getting kids into ball games to play when they are 8 and 10 years old in Pee Wee football, but when they are on a high school team they have got to show that they have what it takes to play. This is partly what is the matter with some of the people in our society today. Competition has been taken out of some local sports, so when kids get older they don't know how to work hard to get what they want. They want everything given to them; a job, food, money, rent. Ok my rant is over, the point is that if you want your kid to play in a game tell him to give 200% during practice and do everything the coaches ask and do it better than the other guy period. And if he still doesn't play than you can have something to talk about.
