  1. We may have lost our first conference game. But I can guarantee we won"t lose another one. You can count on that. Our guys will be up in a big way.
  2. Don 't remember saying your kids was coddled in my post. I said that some kids are coddled and told they are the superstars. Don't ever remember mentioning you at all, but hey Im not hiding either. My son played center for Hampton. My name is Eric Buckles. I'm glad you can get your point across without profanity. Thats good. But let me tell you something. These kids have respect for their coaches and the coaches respect the kids. As I said , they love em like their own. I'm sure you can ask most anyone and they will tell you that the kids love these coaches. There are many coaching styles, don't mean yours is better or ours is better. I respect your opinion but when it comes to this board, thats all it is....mine , yours, everybodys.
  3. First of all, great job to your buffaloes, they were the better team. Now to the matter at hand, emotions were running high last night, some things might have been said that maybe was or was not deserved. But I have to disagree with you on this, whats wrong with kids today is that they have been coddled and told that your the best on the team, the team cant make it without you, trust me, you wont find a more professional staff than we have. They love these kids like their own. They want them to succeed. Parents have got to realize that little Johnny needs discipline, that is something that is not happening these days. Kids do what they want and as long as little Johnny is getting the credit its ok, but when someone yanks a knot in their butt, its quitting time. I have seen this a thousand times, parents think their kids are special, that they are better than they are. Theres nothing wrong with giving all the praise in the world. I love my kid to death. But I also try to make him realize that life aint fair, too bad. Just go do your best and what happens happens. No ONE player is better than the team. Attitudes in sports and life have to change. These coaches chew butt when they have to , and praise and love these kids like their own. NO one on this staff wants to see these kids fail, they want them to succeed in sports and in life. Too bad that parents cant just sit back think about this.
  4. I know its early Saturday morning, but its not too early to say what I need to say. This game is could be huge in alot of ways. For one, who ever wins is in the drivers seat to win the conference. We as a team need to focus on playing hard every down, every second, till the whistle blows. Also, we have to have the guts to go out and get it. It's not gonna come to us easy. We knew that every team we play this year , we were going to get there "A" game regardless of their record. We have had success for three years and in alot of ways it has spoiled us. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY Is going to lay down and say go ahead and take the win. We are going to have to work at everything we do to get better to win this game. This is the bottom line, go out and half practice and dont take things seriously and your get your beat. Can we win this game? Yes. Will we win this game? Who knows. It depends what Hampton team shows up this week and practices. Its time to have a little discipline. Its time to have heart. Its time to have GUTS! YOU guys will have to be the one for the rest of your lives that have to live with the fact that if you didnt do your best, or you didnt play as hard as you could. Trust me, if you dont it will haunt you forever!!!! Go out and play as hard as you can, dont hold back nothing, and win or lose you can say you did your best. Do you have the guts? the heart? the determination? We will see............. Please, leave the symbols out of your posts.
  5. Hats off to a very good West Greene football team. In a lot of ways West Greene played old Hampton football. They just lined up and ran over us. Coach Case has done a great job. Those kids showed heart all night long. Us, well we didn't and to me thats sad. We are a better ballclub than we are playing. Will we reach our potential? Dont know the answer to that one. Only thing I know is we better wake up fast.
  6. Why would any team help a team when they are as arrogant as you all are. I have been reading post after post of this garbage by you and I think its time to have a reality check. Mark it down. October 3rd the perfection ends. I hope your little team can come to practice the Monday after. Better make sure that you have your little fellers strap those chins up tight, and by the way if it rains you might want to look down , you might drown. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  7. First of all, your coach should have your players in shape. Second, theres ways to do what you say you were doing without scoring. All that scoring says that you wanted to make a statement and you don't care what anyone thinks. I'm not gonna cast that first stone, cause Lord knows I'm far from perfect, but is that a part of what you want attached to a Christian school?
  8. Good post Kazzy! I can appreciate what you said. It's like the great coach Campbell at Hampton says, "Act like you been here before" I think Grace might want to adopt that way of thinking before its too late.
  9. I think you guys roll to the tune of 42-7. Good luck from a dogs fan........
  10. Just wanted to add, that last year Unicoi was down, but played exceptionally well only losing 9-6 in OT. We have to come out and control the ball on both sides or we might be in for a long night. Lets practice hard this week dogs and keep this thing rolling!
  11. Well after a pretty good performance by the dogs vs jellico, the dogs must now forget about the past and look to next week's game with Unicoi. Unicoi comes off a thrashing by South, who wants it more?
  12. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" As good as money can buy I'm sure...........
  13. I'm not sure that I would want my team on top even if I was thrashing everybody. I say its a lot easier to play without the pressure of being on top and all the expectations that come with that kind of ranking.
  14. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> No I just said good luck to be honest, my opinion, like any other is just that. I don't care who pulls for who, just wanted to say "hey, if you gonna down us, better look at yourself first". I really don't care what anyone thinks, and I agree, this board is for that. What anybody says on here doesn't amount to what happens on the field and it doesn't change the outcome of anything.
  15. Good luck to the eagles from the dogs.
  16. Lets see who has the better record at the end of the year my friend and lets see who goes further into the playoffs. You may have beaten us, but we will use that to make us better, at the end of the year, ask yourself are we better or worse? I bet I already know the answer to that one. I think you better worry about E-town, not posting on our thread.
  17. Well its almost time and the anticipation is growing by the second. I can't wait to see both of these teams go at it to see who will come out victorious. I'm sure Oneida has worked their tails off and I know for a fact that they will be ready. I know that Hampton has as well and whoever wins this game can say that they are the probable favorite in both regions. With a loss, it might be a stumbling block for both teams, but I highly doubt either one will roll over and call it a season. It's great to see this type of match early because it gives you and idea of what kind of team you have at the present and it builds excitement for both teams to come out and play as hard as they can. I can only hope after its all said and done, both teams can come out with positives and some things that can be used to build on to improve their respective teams. I really hope Hampton wins but it won't be the end of the world if they don't. Just work hard guys, do what you do, use what you have been taught and above all, thank the good lord above for the opportunities he has given you. With that being said, Good Luck to both teams and for the Oneida fans making the long journey up, Have a safe trip. Go dogs!!
  18. I'm sure Hampton will be ready. They know what they are up against trust me. We experienced that tough D last year and know with a year's experience, it can only be better. I think the Dogs will be ok, just have to prepare. As far as never facing a team that is so physical, well, we faced a little team last year , maybe you heard of them....South Pittsburg, I think they have experienced physicality. Good luck to both teams and have a safe trip up Friday.
  19. Yea, thats right. I appreciate the well wishes. I hope these boys will take and do what they are capable of. They could have a good season if they put the required effort into it. Its way early to tell if they will accept the challenge or not. I hope they do.
  20. Congrats to your Highlanders Josh, They definitely came to play. We on the other hand have some growing up to do and a lot of practice ahead of us. We will definitely grow up fast the next two weeks. I predict Cloudland beats Avery by 2 tds or more. Just my opinion of course. It should definitely be a slobberknocker in the last week of the regular season between us. Till then good luck , and congrats on the little ones.
  21. First of all, I just want to say congrats to both teams. You all are tremendous players and exceptional athletes. I am truly proud of all of you dogs. I have watched you virtually everyday grow into a team that has made many strides to improve each and every week. We have hit bumps ( thanks oneida and unicoi, you made us better!! thats a compliment by the way) but we have passed all the tests so far. This is our third try at this thing and hopefully, we will pass the test. However, if we do not, do not think that we would be any less proud of you. YOU are awesome. We love you all, and you are truly quite a great bunch of young men. To South PItt, good luck to you and god bless. Lets play a hard clean game without any injuries. Whoever wins this game I truly believe will win state. Cant wait until Friday! Go Dogs. You are already on your way to being successful in whatever you want to accomplish.
  22. I dont need numbers to back me up you piece of s@%t! Bring it on anytime, anywhere punk. Im just tellin the plain truth about Cloudland. I love the way they play and the hard work they put into it. I don't give a rat's rear what anybody thinks. Good guy? No im not. But I wont put up with a piece of crap like you. Want some?? Come get some. I'll be at the game on the Hampton side about where the line ends where the players cant pass. So come on, and by the way My name is Eric B. Just ask around punk, somebody will send you my way. To the other Cloudland people, i'm sorry for the way this is going, but enough is enough. Time to put up or shut up. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  23. Good luck to both teams. Hopefully an injury free game. Also, Have a safe drive up Oneida faithful. Cmon Dogs, its time to shine. Do what you do, and everything will take care of itself.
  24. Like i said in the other thread....the real king has reared his ignorant head. Once a punk, always a punk. Im sorry that Cloudland has to have people like you "queen" . Cloudland has good people, hard working kids and punks like you give them a bad name. Come on down to Hampton "queen" and run that mouth like you do on here. We will be glad to shut you up quick. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
