I was at the game yesterday between Bartlett and Lexington. It was a great game between two good teams. It could have went either way. We (the Bartlett fans) saw yesterday a very good Lexington team. I can see how they could do very well in AA tournament. I was impress with their coaches and how their kids carried themselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Bartlett won, but Lexington is a class act. Thanks for coming to our field, hopefully we can come there next year.

WE KNOW IT'S EARLY IN THE SEASON, BUT THEY (BARTLETT) NEEDS TO COME TOGETHER. LAST YEAR 1 THROUGH 9 COULD HURT YOU, SO FAR THIS YEAR THERE IS NO THREAT. I HOPE THEY CAN REBOUND AND PLAY AS A TEAM. THEY SEEM TO BE PRESSING THEMSELVES AND NOT HAVING FUN. WE UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE ALOT OF PRESSURE ON THEM FROM LAST YEAR, BUT UNTIL THEY HAVE FUN PLAYING THE GAME, THEY WILL STRUGGLE.

They are not ranked..They just played the best game of the year on Saturday..I believe they are 2-8 now..on any given day anyone can lose,that's a fact!!!!!Bartlett should have won..but that's baseball.You can believe this, when Bartlett steps on the field every team is going to be gunning for them, normally Bartlett could fight their way back...but not on Saturday. This lost doesn't mean anything, except for Bartlett will have to be ready for everyone and they was not ready for Lassiter on Saturday. They lost 2 last year in Cullman,Al and then came back fighting,so they will be fine. They are not clicking yet in the batting line up. ...if they do alot of teams will be in trouble...It's only 4 games into the season.

Nobody said JM was to blame that Bartlett lost. He didn't have his best game. I didn't know he was up all night. If that's the case, he shouldn't have been on the mound. I've seen JM pitch before, I know he's better then that. All together they did not play a good game as a team.....BUT THEY WILL REGROUP!!!!!!!!!!

Lassiter's hitters jumped all over Jon Davis(score...4-0). After a rain delay,Taylor Morton took the mound and gave up some runs. Bartlett could never get it going. Murk, Turner and Feathers finally got Bartlett on the score board,to get the score to 6-2. But Bartlett made some costly errors and gave them two more runs late in the game...final score 8-2. Bartlett will bounce back this week...no doubt

Bartlett did not play their best game against G-town, but a win is a win and it's early in the season.

I dont know much about Bearden, but I do know Farragut always has a good team... just ask the Bartlett people! I hope to see them play again this year.

On any given night anyone can be beat......that includes the mighty Bartlett Panthers. I believe it will be hard going 40-5 this year, their schedule is really strong..but if you are going to the best, you got to beat the best. I believe that's what Coach Clark realizes. There is an opportunity for this team to do something special for the city of Bartlett and Bartlett High School...and that's going back to back. It is uncertain if they can, but if any coach can get his kids ready, it would be Coach Clark. One good thing about this sr group of kids, they have been playing against each other or playing on th same team since they were 9 yoa, so I believe these kids knows what's expected from them and I believe they will get it done.....GOOD LUCK PANTHERS....TO ALL OF THE SR'S...It's been fun watching you grow up!!!!!!

I believe CBHS will be fine and they will win alot of games by playing small ball. They can no doubt run the bases!!!!!!!good luck

Bartlett has a very good sophmore class this year. But the one who stands out is Taylor Morton he's a special player. He will pitch some varsity games this year as a closer.

Tiger, I hope Jacob Wilson is not going around talking about his teammates. If so. it's going to be a long year for Bartlett. We all know M. Blanchard is the fastest kid in west tn and maybe the state and I know he's a good kid. CBHS has a good team, but I dont know if they are as good as teams from the past, that's yet to be seen. And for Bartlett..yes they had a great year last year..but this is a new year and every team in AAA will be gunning for them as for CBHS in D2. Is CBHS stronger in every position then Bartlett... I DONT THINK SO. The outfield of CBHS is faster, but not by much. Bartlett's LF C.Wood and CF D. Murk can cover alot of ground, RF D. Feathers isn't to fast but has a cnnon for a arm and all of them are very good hitters. I dont know much about CBHS infield, so I can't really say to much, but it's got to be hard to replace Blake behind the plate. Bartlett has all SR'S in the infield Elliot 3rd, Wilson ss, Rovery 2nd, Hatfield 1st and Turner c...and all can hit, they will no doubt score alot of runs. By watching Bartlett this past week, I just think Bartlett has more experience as a team then CBHS. Also Bartlett has a very good sophmore class to replace all of the sr's of this year, so I expect Bartlett will be O.K next year too. But CBHS will no doubt have a great year. I like to see both teams win the state, it's good for west tn.

Beside Sonny Gray, do they have enough good pitching to make it to the state. I know Sonny Gray is good , but no one can do it by themself.

After this year Bartlett will have to rebuild..no doubt. After losing all of those senior's, they do not have alot of good talent coming in. So enjoy now. But you can't blame them, to win the state for the first time and have another real good chance going back to back, that is something to be pride of. Coach Clark has done a great job with that program and no one can take that from them kids. No matter what everyone thinks, Bartlett has alot of talent on that team, and everyone knew that when they were freshmen. They will always be remembered as the kids who won the first baseball state championship at Bartlett, that has to be a good feeling. CBHS has won so many it's doesn't matter to them, but that's ok, I' m sure they will win alot more down the road.

The fact is west tn is very lucky to have TWO state champions so close to each other. They both have very good kids and no doubt good ball players. Who cares who beats who. The biggest issue is, both teams make it back to the state in May and bring home the title again for west tn. There is no doubt that both teams could do that, they have the best chance out of any d2 & aaa teams around west tn. Good luck to both cbhs and bartlett!!!!!
