you're kidding right? First of all congrats on the season boys. Second, Lexington beat bolivar 3 out of the 5 times they faced them. They beat their stud Will Irvin 4-0 and they beat Mr.Griffin 12-3. This is ridiculous, how can you talk so bad about a team that had a great season and came up short to a very good David Lipscomb team who played their hearts out to beat them. The weak schedule had nothing to do with anything. And they HAD lost before so they DID know what it feels like. Again congratulations on the season guys it was impressive and fun to keep up with. As for everyone talking about schedules and how they weren't ready, those are the opinions you should be ashamed of. They got beat not because of any particular reason. David Lipscomb ha a better game. That's the end of it.

I wasn't at the game but from hearing about it I just have to comment. 1) Gant is an extremely calm and patient pitcher, he is composed, and he is smart (hints signing with Tennessee) A smart pitcher knows whether it's going both ways and whether he is getting shafted so from knowing Gant personally I would guess that he had a case. 2) I'm assuming nobody heard the words spoken by Dyer to the umpire but they probably weren't very friendly words. He had already lost his star pitcher for 2 games and probably didn't want his team to blow up anymore though. He was probably trying to salvage what they had left of the game. Gant getting in the umpires face does surprise me but they are trying to get better and get prepared for a state title and you can't get better as pitcher if you are forced to throw c***shots to a very good team. Losing his cool is unacceptable but don't blame coach for not sticking up for him because i guarantee he did in some way. And as far as Gant goes, if you've ever been a pitcher in a big game where the umpire is making you throw through a keyhole against a good hitting team it can be the most frustrating thing on the planet and frankly i think any umpire that does that is wrong. That's not baseball, baseball is strategic and for a pitcher is surgery.

Wow so are you saying that Bolivar isn't good? What about Bartlett? Southside has one of the best coaches in West Tennessee but they aren't a good team? Granted they did not play excellent in a couple of those games, you still can't say that they have lost to bad teams. G County is the only game that I think they should have blown them away in and didn't, but even then they were coming off of their first loss of the season and the first game without a head coach. The losing was good for them and if they play like they did against Bartlett, which they could've played better, they can beat absolutely anybody in AA. They just have to keep their heads on. I am disappointed that they didn't go undefeated that would've been a nice conversation starter but hey, neither did Farragut. Best of luck to everyone this should be an interesting May for a few teams.

lexington ends the regular season with a 24-4 record . saying thats a successful season isn`t trash talking . being proud of such an accomplishment isn`t having over-inflated ego`s. regardless of what happens in the post season , those kids can feel really good about playing hard , as a team . good luck to all teams and there players , enjoy playing baseball.

Lexington came to play against the defending state champs , but when there bats went cold at the end they couldn`t hang on and bartlett took the game 8-6

Lexington is AA , 22-0 after a 9-3 win over Mcnairy Central , they still have Jackson South Side , Milan , Bolivar and Bartlett to go before district . Bolivar is 8-0 in district , Lexington is 7-0 with a district matchup @ Southside on wednesday . leading up too a big Monday/ tuesday`s barnburner between these two to determine who comes out top dog in the district.

Well i'm not sure about that but as a number 1 team in the state I'm almost positive every team has or will bring their best pitching and they're still beating teams 20-2 like yesterday...in district.Also over the weekend against southside i think they proved a lot to me putting up 14 runs against southside's number 1 and 2. Again Bartlett will be a great game for them...but then you have to think about this...If we have to say that a defending AAA state champ will be a good game with this AA team then why not admit that they have something instead of keeping on with the weak schedule talk...there are plenty of teams with weak schedules that aren't 21-0.They can only play the hand that they were dealt..And so far they haven't slipped up or even shown ANY weakness..if anything it looks like they are getting stronger.

That's exactly right. And I'm sure Odle is pounding that in their heads...hope they listen they have some major potential.

Not sure how official it is but I was refering to coacht's rankings in the teams' home page. Off to the side it has rankings for schedule and strength. No problem friend.

well i see they have 9 teams on their schedule that have double digit wins as of now and a pretty decent district. although it is true they don't have the toughest schedule ever they do have a combined opponent's record of around .500 if not a little better..and they have the 96th ranked schedule in TN yet Farragut has the 91st in AAA but they get all the credit in the world.....The Bartlett game to end the season will prove what they're worth..and honestly...i gotta say I'm cheerin for the tigers!

could a plus member please fix the lexington v. southside score someone listed it as lexington won both games 14-2 when the friday game was cancelled due to rain thanks so much.
