  1. Bearden at Farragut, Friday 8 P.M. Predictions?
  2. Is it just me or isn't there a rule in college sports stating that you can't have played professional sports anywhere, so how could these players be professional players, ezion....They are solid players from overseas who didn't make it to the professional level and they find a place to go to school and play soccer in America, but if they had ever played professional soccer I don't believe they would be allowed to play college soccer. And you claim that TNFC '90 played the reserve team from Cumberlands and lost, well I highly doubt that is true because I also know of a mediocre '91 from Knoxville played the reserves to a 2-1 game that was very close, and this team is nothing on TNFC's level.
  3. the kid's a player, i dont see anything to giggle about, he's a force up front and in the back with a killer header and an insne left foot, and if you saw his name on the list you could at least have the deceny to spell his name right
  4. It was a good game, but Farragut should have won. They were up 2-0 with two very impressive goals from Mottern, and then Catholic scored on a mix up in the box when a Farragut player just had a desperation clearance that happened to fall right on the foot of a Catholic player, and the second came on a VERY QUESTIONABLE penalty kick call with the ref calling it from 40-50 yards away while the one probably 15 yards away did not call it. (It was a dual refereed game) But overall both teams look like they can be very promising and have great seasons
  5. I think what Pinball may be saying is that he doesnt think that it is reliable to rank on the basis of the preseason scrimmages Which I totally agree I don't really see how Farragut fell from number 1 in mjuhb's first set of preseason rankings to number 3, with only playing scrimmages, nothing can really be known until the regular season.
  6. Is that a joke "cincyred", come on its a field that has been around for a long long time and I have seen many many many games there and not seen one injury from the carpet, I assume you are a Baylor parent, or older Baylor fan, one of the two; just back off and let the kids play its not your game, the field isnt yours a seat in the stands is there was no reason to go report that
  7. I saw the game and that is not what happened the second string played probably ten to fifteen minutes not thirty five and they did not sub very much before that, farragut was without their senior goalie, a senior forward, a left defender, a senior center back, another forward.and one other senior came out early with an injury, they had six JV players pulled up for this game who all got to play their fair amounts. Also it was 3-0, and if Baylor got a single shot off i dont remember it. Farragut was impressive.
  8. Andre Sterling got the Toyota Player of The Game for the East
  9. Andre Sterling was the Toyota Player of The Game for the East although Brian Marshall ran very well too and Works added a touchdown as well. The East just looked like the better team out there today and there defense was dominant.
  10. What were his stats against Bearden because I know that they have a good secondary
  11. I believe I said in his career, not this game, and yes he has destroyed Bearden throughout his career
  12. Bearden has no player in football that even compares to Sterling, and please don't say Works because yes he had a great game against Farragut, but Sterling has run all over BHS and every other high school in his career, and what does Andre have to do with basketball just let the players settle that game on the court it may be a better one than you expect.
  13. No offense to Rod Wilks who is an excellent player, but I beilieve it is unfair to a kid like Andre Sterling not to win the 5a Mr. Football Award, to see what he did this season and for him to not win the award is just unbelievable. If you look at Wilks's stats from last year he improved by a few tds and about one hundred yards and was not a finalist last year, whereas Sterling was the runner up last year and his stats are way higher than last year and then to come in this year and not win, just a disgrace. This award is not about where people have commited or what they have done previously in their careers. Just because Wilks was the MVP of the State Championship last year or that he was an early commitment to UT doesn't mean he is better. I think that the middle tennessee voters put their blindfolds on from the get-go and had their choice at the beginning of the season.
  14. i believe he has taken a visit to kentucky
  15. for those of you who dont think hes good enough to play big d1, well i think your wrong and i think a bunch of d1 schools think you are wrong, i dont think schools kentucky and south carolina would be interested in him and recruiting him if they didnt think he had the talent to play at that level.. i think he will do good wherever he goes whatever level it may be
  16. yes it does help a region to look tough how they do in the playoffs but there are also ten games in the regualr season and then they only play one in the playoffs those ten games can be great for teams and then they have slips uos in the playoffs, injuries come into the picture as well playoffs isnt everything b/c it is just a small fraction of most teams seasons the other ten games mean a lot too....
  17. ok this is all great but this is a TN high school football board i dont know why someone decided to post when something hadnt been posted since febuary but if u realy wanna see him just go to youtube.com
  18. ha lets see at at least one point in the season farragut, william blount, ootelwah, and oak ridge were all in the top ten in 5A is that not good?
  19. just b/c someone doesnt win state doesnt mean it isnt the toughest, for example if you ranked teams in stars and you had a region with four four star teams and then a region with one five star team and then a bunch of ones and twos and that five star team ends up beating one of the four stars that doesnt make the five star's region any better....
  20. haha whata stereotypical post, come to farragut check out the school then youll keep ur mouth shut farragut is in great need of some renovation, look at the cars in the parking yeh there are some nice as well as at bearden and yes there are some rich kids in the school im not going to deny that but there are probably just as many at bearden.
  21. ok to all farragut fans yeh farragut has a great team but you dont have to go aroud running your mouth about it, who cares if they dont like the cheers or take shots at the school? What does that have to do with the game. Let the admirals do there business on the field friday night and then see what they have to say. We've seen others complain AFTER farragut has beaten them, with wb's band incident and ooltewah trying to say andre was trying to fight them or sayin our band kids were flicking them off, and most recently people complaining about our cheers that are apparently so degrading??? Let them be petty after the game and try to find stupid excuses and blame other things for their loss, theres no need to go back and forth about nonsense that have nothing to do with the game. ALso to DB fans the cheer wont be quite so loud to you because you're on the other side of the field. Just let it all be settled in less than a day's time on the football field then everyone can see who really is the best. Show them our admirals have class and dont spend all day bickering on a stupid website.
  22. wow everyone needs to relax about people being disrespectful or whatnot...noones trying to diss anyone else and don't try to stereotype all farragut fans from just a few that post on here...yes FHS does use the "you can't stop him" cheer and i honestly dont believe there is any problem in that what so ever..knowing many of the players i have not once heard a complaint about that cheer, they know andre is a huge chunk of their team and that he helps lead them, yes there are many other exceptional players and they are cheered for too, just probably not as much as andre, and i agree with what another person stated earlier in that the reason it bothers others is because honestly its true i dont think anyone has really been able to contain him all season and in reality it will probably continue...
  23. honestly you shouldnt talk about u beating a team that we lost to in overtime, i believe you guys were shut out 32-0 by william blount and if i stand correct farragut beat them....so i think that the admirals outweigh you in that category...and in response to the whole scuffle on the sideline i think it was obvious that about five ooltewah players hit sterling on to the concrete then just kept goin and got in his face...i mean did the players that hit him really have to run out onto the track too...sterling is an excellent football player whos gonna go somewhere im tired of you people trying to bring him down just b/c u lost it was the same with wb and their whole situation...and i havnt seen sterling going around town beating up kids...hes a good kid let him be
  24. the only good team that wb plays that farragut doesnt is maryville..and yeh you played them a good game..but farragut had west scheduled when they were a really good team and farragut also plays bearden every year, besides that they play pretty much the exact same people...but good call
  25. Ok so every week farragut sets up their banner then the team runs through it, if i'm not mistaken i believe most schools do that, after they break through they run towards the stands to greet their fans, as one man said they were running to the wb sideline , they were running towards their fans buddy, then after they do that they loop around to go to their sideline but some of the band happens to be there so the team does their best to dodge them but some still have to move through them, the farragut team is a large mass so its hard to all stop and shift another direction. The mention of "head bobbing" and jumping up and down has nothing to do with disrespect it has to do with getting ready for a huge game, a game that was a key to the entire season. I also believe what some others have said that this would probably not even been brought up at all. William Blount played a fantastice game but Farragut was just a tad but better Friday night and i think that should be accepted by the fans and they shouldn't going around looking for little things to complain about and try to give Farragut a bad reputation.
