1A to 540 or so, 2A to around 1120 would make things tough for a lot of teams.

Without going into a ton of explanation, here's Quad 1 and Quad 2, Class 1A playoffs out of 5. This year's computer rankings, the latest enrollment (To 400). Quad 1: 1-South Pittsburg 2-Coalfield 3-Polk County 4-Rockwood 5-Whitwell 6-Greenback 7-Lookout Valley 8-Oliver Springs Quad 2: 1-Fayetteville 2-Moore County 3-Clay County 4-Gordonsville 5-Wayne County 6-Eagleville 7-Trousdale County 8-Cornersville I think these first round matchups would be much more exciting for the most part. You also have the regular season games likely making much more money on average with less travel and more traditional/area rivalry.

I could almost promise the regular season gates would grow drastically, also the first round gate.

Blow it all up. No classes in Division I regular season (Division 2 can do the same). Everyone schedules 10 games on their own each year, even if home and away the same season. Travel improves, closer rivalries renewed. TSSAA can assist any having scheduling issues. After 10 weeks, divide the 300 teams into 5 playoff classes by enrollment. Take the top 32 of 60 (computer ranked-record, strength of opposition etc), then put those 32 into 4 geographic quads. If it were to continue, just take 20 day enrollment from the current year. Lots of excitement with nothing final until week 10 ends.

East side of the county near Monroe, not state

Why are they Central when they’re in the east side of the state (close to Monroe line)?

There's a chance these 2 could be in the same region next fall. We will see.

In a 5 class, looks like it would be approximately 400, 625, 900, 1450 as cutoffs. Not exactly but in that range.

Bye games first round can really throw teams off

Lots of postseason games between these schools in other sports over the years, first in football since 1990.

Talent rising or just put together in one group?

Brentwood Academy played 5A in 1-division football. It's not my comparison, it's the TSSAA allowing it. East in 6A football, theoretically, has nothing to do with this. If it can be done in basketball, it can be done in football, but nobody wants to do it now apparently.

Memphis East jumped from 2A to 4A in basketball just now, similar to what they've done in the past.
