They had Marion on the run in the third quarter last year, driving with the lead and the ball but did not react well at all to a turnover returned for a score and never recovered. This year in the second year with the head coach and with a lot back, including several who were freshmen playing a lot, they should have a lot more poise. That goes for finishing drives too, and not being turned away inside the 10 against Notre Dame during two separate parts of the game. Even in the playoff loss to Polk, as big a blowout as the score was, they moved the ball well when they weren't turning it over. The game went from 7-0 late in the second quarter to 21-0 at the half with Polk making them pay for mistakes.
