  1. www.prepcentralonline.com will have tons of stuff on Darlington. Scroll over TEAMS, then scroll over GEORGIA and click on link for DARLINGTON.
  2. I seriously doubt the TSSAA holds grudges or vendettas, so I seriously doubt the ruling today has anything at all to do with what happened between SM and SD at the 7-on7 back in July. (If it is, the whole state has a serious problem.) I still am having problems with the fact that the kid was "eligible" according to the TSSAA, not too long ago, but now he's not. And I really don't think the TSSAA re-opened the case on its own accord. Seems apparent to me that someone called the TSSAA and reported it. The three biggest questions still left unresolved: 1. Was the paperwork on the kid incorrectly filled out on purpose or was it a legitimate oversight? 2. Why exactly did the TSSAA reverse its initial ruling on the kid's eligibility (and why do it now)? 3. Who turned SM into the TSSAA?
  3. Yes, but there are 3A and 4A schools in that district. The only 4A schools are ND and SM, so one of them has to go to the playoffs in 4A (if I understand all this mess correctly). It's like the 5A/6A district from last year. Cleveland and Walker Valley were the only two 5A teams in that district. Cleveland won the head-to-head meeting and went to the 5A playoffs, even though they lost to most every 6A team in that district. I think the same applies here. Someone, either ND or SM has to go to the playoffs in 4A regardless of whether or not a 3A team technically "wins" the district. Again, if I'm understanding this right, if the TSSAA rules against SM, they may be forced to forfeit the win over ND, giving ND the automatic playoff berth in 4A.
  4. Ridgeland and Gordon Lee from North Ga. supposed to be there too. Do you have a full list of teams that are supposed to be there?

  6. Again, I have absolutely no idea what is happening/has happened at MBA. I'm only going by public perception as an outsider. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, only putting my two cents worth in based on published reports.
  7. I don't live in Nashville, and have no ties to MBA or anyone associated with the program. But if the reports I read on CityPaper.com concerning this situation are true, MBA might have a hard time finding a coach willing take the job. Again, I don't know much about this case, other than what is being reported by the Nashville media, but it sure sounds like McGugin is being thrown under the bus and being made a scapegoat for something he wasn't involved in. Call it the worst case of "daddy ball" EVER. I'm sure MBA is a great job, but are the coaches going to want to get into that situation, knowing they might get fired/asked to resign for no good reason (if the reports are accurate). There HAS to be more to this story than what is being reported, because there is no way McGugin should lose his job because a group of families tried to help another family privately.
  8. Central hit a homerun with this hire. He'll get the athletes he needs there to be successful, and he'll get the community to rally behind the program. He's already shown he can get communities to support a programs and team that had very little in the way of tradition, and turn those programs into playoff contenders. Imagine what he can do with a program that already has the tradition. Central has been on the verge of reawakening into a Chattanooga-area power for years. I think hiring Allen will be the final piece of the puzzle they need.
  9. Tyson and Warren committed to UT-Chattanooga, joining McCallie's Jarrod Coleman and Baylor's Jacob Huseman in pledging to the Mocs. Huge weekend for Chattanooga!!!!! Those are four of the state's best.
  10. I've seen monkey poo fights at the zoo better organized or more fair than this scam the powers-that-be in the TSSAA are trying to put together. Was the system they had prior to last year really so bad? It seemed to work fine, I thought. Win your way in. Top four teams from each region/district go to state. When a team like 3A team Tyner wins its district, a district that includes 3A and 4A teams, then gets seeded BEHIND a team it already beat (Howard), something is darn wrong with the system. And that's just one example of several, I'm sure. It's time to bring some freakin' COMMON SENSE back to the playoffs because the set-up in place now is an absolute JOKE.
  11. You can be banned from the postseason, and still be ranked as one of the top teams in the state. They weren't banned from being ranked.
  12. Can anyone tell me? Thanks.
  13. AT&T Field, the home of the Chattanooga Lookouts, will once again host the Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Baseball Classic. The 9th annual game, featuring recent graduates from Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia, will take place on Monday, June 14 with first pitch of the nine-inning game scheduled for 6 p.m. Tennessee won the first eight meetings before Georgia finally broke through last year with a 3-2 win.
