  1. I believe that Mount Pleasant will again be a dominant force in 1A, though none of you seem to give us a shot. We only lose 5 seniors that had any kind of role in our gameplan. Marco will never be replaced but football doesn't end because he leaves. There's alot of talent in our upcoming senior class that can play ball and step right in where he left off.
  2. English didn't throw any but David Brown and Christ Stress threw 2 a piece.I'm not sure if Marco threw any or not.But I will say that MP's 1st string defense really stepped it up on Thursday. They made some big plays.I think they had 4 maybe 5 interceptions.
  3. Anyone know about Darwin? He has developed into a shutdown corner.Doesn't have the best of hands but he doesn't let anyone else catch it either.I pray that he didn't really quit and that I was simply miss informed. We can only hope though.
  4. I'd put him up against any safety or return man on the D1 level.Exceptional athlete. If he keeps/gets his grades up he could go places(I have no idea what kind of grades he makes).
  5. I just heard today that Jeffery McWilliams and Darwin Houston, 2 of MP's corners, have quit. Can anybody confirm this?I heard it from a teacher at MP
  6. I was recently talking with one of my cousins who lives in out-of-state.We were discussing high school football(he's a rising senior),I asked him if they were on their "dead period" right now.He said "whats a dead period".I explained to him what it was and he said that they're allowed to work out the entire summer without break. What purpose does a "dead period" serve? It's seems like the kids would lose the strength they'd just begun building back up in the first weeks of summer. Can someone please explain?
  7. In every post about Region6 it says that MP is all we've got.I'm not trying to stir anything up(or maybe I am ) but what about Collinwood.Does no one outside of 6-1a fear "the Wood"?
  8. Two TE's who can catch any ball thrown their way,Ryan English 5'11/185,and Preston Gilbreath 6'4/250.A proven,grind-it-out FB(also one heckuva MLB) in Kyle Bays 5'10/240,great DE's in Dusty Robertson 5'10/215 and David Brown 6'/180, a dominant force a DT Javaris Holt 6'1/225. Is that enough for LC to worry about? Or should I name more?
  9. White was a pretty good fullback last season,if I remeber correctly.A sophmore maybe? But CA can't afford to lose anybody else or any hope they had of a good season will be gone.
  10. I was there for the "epic battle" this past season. That game had me in tears on atleast 4 occasions.I can't even imagine how it must have felt to be a member.
  11. I agree with CYBP.I played with all 4 of those LB's and everyone of them is an athlete.I believe they're the ones who are going to bring MP's defense back to prominence like it was in '04.Best of luck to each of them.
  12. Is it just me or is nobody giving Mt.Pleasant a shot? They have 18 returning starters and one of,if not the best, offensive units in 1a.Defense is a bit "shotty" but with an offense that puts up 50 a game, all your defense has to do is contain the opposing teams offense not shut it down.I'm giving Mt.Pleasant my vote to go all the way.
  13. I've heard from a couple of inside sources that Clark Ayers,QB for Columbia Central last year, has opted to attend Columbia Academy this coming year.He has a very strong arm and can move around the pocket .Can anyone confirm these rumors? Because if they're true then CA might actually wi...Whoa.Nevermind,forgot who I was talking about there for a second .But anyways does anyone have anymore info on the subject?
  14. Ryan English(5'10''/185) and Preston Gilbreath(6'4''/230) are two very talented tight ends at Mt.Pleasant.Both have great hands and can block exceptionally well. They both should be top prospects come their senior years.Especially Gilbreath he is dominating once he steps on that field.
  15. I really enjoyed reading through this months issue.Keep up the good work!
  16. These teams are playing to win: 1.Mt.P 2.WC/CW Everyone else is playing not to lose.
  17. Giles Co. greatly improved between the 1st and 2ndplayed them but not enough to say that we weren't good enough competition for 'em.We wipped them the 1st but we didn't drop 'em from the schedule because of that.So I don't see how they can say we weren't enough competition for them.
  18. How can you pick against the juggernaut that Mt.Pleasant has become: 1.mTp 2.CW 3.WC 4.MC???
