  1. Good thing there's a new Head Coach.
  2. So they take an 11-1 loss to Ooltewah to save their "pitching"? You're out of your mind. Ringgold played terrible in the field as well.. But back on track, teams should start caring about Ooltewah baseball because they will be tough to beat this season.
  3. And who did Red Bank play...
  4. Where are you playing now? Oh.. you aren't. You must sip haterade before you get on here and just start ripping into people who aren't even in high school anymore. Who actually get paid to play ball.. I think that's pretty good for a 20 year old. Anyway, the Ooltewah Owls are too good this year to not tear into most teams. Red Bank.. has a good pitching staff. Red Bank also has... ? What else? Nothing comes to mind. Only a few 90-plus arms. Someone once told me thing about playing as a team... if all you got's some arms, how are you going to put runs on the board? Especially enough runs to catch Ooltewah this year.. that goes to all area teams. Good luck to all the Chattanooga area teams.
  5. Definitely wasn't running his mouth. Reed isn't like you, from what I can see. Anyway, Ringgold threw 4 different guys today. Here's a fun fact: Why would you throw 4 from your staff, and not throw to win? You lose A: 4 pitchers for the next few days of game play, and B: you get the big L and let Ooltewah beat the pants off you. I would throw one of my "studs" to at least slow down the Owls.. And if there are a few "studs" you think they could spare one for a great Ooltewah baseball team, right? Because Ringgold shouldn't face anyone this week that compares to the Owls' so I'm thinking they won't need their "studs" for any other game. But great point 'owlsuwish22' you really thought this one through.
  6. So the season opened at the nest today. The Owls executed very well from what I saw. The final score was 11(Ooltewah) to Ringgold's 1. Baugh struggled a little with location and a few walks, but he threw very well. I've seen the Owls staff in the preseason, and Baugh looks like their ace. I think Ooltewah's pitching staff is underrated by a lot of teams in the area which could possibly give Ooltewah a run for the state tourney. But back to your comment, if Baugh isn't their best then who is? High 80s with great form and technique.. he still has two seasons to peak in his high school pitching career. He has a lot of poise for a junior, as well. Bottom line, the Owls' staff is underrated from my view in the bleachers. Back to Red Bank, Ooltewah though. I heard Red Bank won today 14-6? Anyone have any highlights to share?
  7. 1. Ooltewah 2. Red Bank 3. Soddy Daisy 4. Central Owls: Experience leads the way. A lot of strong leaders on this team. Very influential new Head Coach Hitchcock. Saw Ooltewah in the preseason with a strong pitching staff.. timid at bat, I see good kids working toward improvement. Quickness in the field with a lot of strong arms. Lions: A great pitching staff, haven't gotten the chance to see anyone on the team swing a bat in the preseason this year, but I definitely think these kids will be a strong team. Trojans: Big question mark really. Haven't heard many good or bad things about the team. Pounders: Building year for them I assume? ..because I haven't heard one mention of these kids this year. I'll say Ooltewah will battle Red Bank for district and come out victorious. Call me biased, but I have seen the Owls work and with their new Coach, I think anything in their way this year may just, in fact, crumble right under their cleats. Red Bank may have good hitters, but I wouldn't know. I'm sure of the Owls though
  8. You have something negative to say about everything, don't you 'owlsuwish22'? Great match-up I predict. If Red Bank's hitting is anywhere close to the successful pitching, I say they take 2 W's this year during the regular season against the Owls; however, I've seen the potential Ooltewah has, and their pitching isn't what most people think. Just a heads up if you haven't been to one of the Owls' preseason games. Ooltewah can also bring the bat against most area teams on a good day. Good luck to both clubs this season.
  9. actually, yeah, i can almost agree. i'm just waiting to see if the refs up at WB are EXACTLY like smyrna's were last year...
  10. Ooltewah William Blount Farragut Oak Ridge
  11. Brian Marshall should win Mr. Football for class 5A.
  12. ooltewah looked great in all the scrimmages. every player for ooltewah is a key player.
  13. The Owls are looking strong again this year. Last year with Jeremy fresh under center, Coach Monroe and the Ooltewah coaching staff didn't know how things would turn out. But we all saw how Jeremy and the Owl offense turned out last season, hopefully there will be some of that luck again this season.
  14. It's tomorrow at 6:00 pm and I'm pretty sure anyone can come to it.
