  1. Cocke County, East, and possibly West should dominate this year along with Greenville. Everybody has a solid team returning. As already pointed out, Cocke has new coaches and has a key player back from an injury, East is a HUGE team with plenty of talent, West has Goins back, Hall as a transfer, and they only lost one senior. I don't know what Cherokee has to offer, but Jeff should be much improved as well. This really should be an even conference across the board this year.
  2. Yes, that was a diss--but the other is true--the other teams in the conference are a LOT better this year. It is going to be a slug fest. I will be very disappointed if Greenville only loses one or two games.
  3. I heard that Greenville was confirmed as AA already for next year. They won't be much without Dickson, anyway.
  4. Thanks Coach, One last question and then I'm done, I promise. How do you edit or add a score?
  5. Hey Raider, How's your baby doing? Enjoying college?
  6. Okay, I went back, changed the date format and loaded up the schedule. Now I can't find it. If I try to add the same game, it tells me that the game is already in the schedule, but I cannot view the schedule anywhere. What am I doing wrong now?
  7. That's pretty funny!! Actually, the latest pitcher is a move in from Florida, not a transfer from the surrounding area. She is a crack volleyball player too. She was slowed up this season because she broke her ankle in softball tryouts. She missed several games at the beginning. I wish she played basketball as well. With two 6' +s on the court that would be pretty awesome!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  8. Okay, I need specific instructions. I am trying to load up Morristown West's schedule and I can't figure out how to do it. I went to the school, then ADD GAME, and put the information in, but it won't accept it. Am I in the wrong place?
  9. Wow!! It sure has taken everybody long enough to notice my post!! Where is everybody at these days? There is another post that says that 6'2" is a stretch--I would bet 100.00 on no less than 6'1". She is pretty impressive close up, let me tell you. Unless the other poster is her mom, in which case she should know. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  10. Ok, for those of you in the know, where were the coaches this past weekend at Blue Star? I have heard from several players that it was a tad dry at both TN locations--the Boro and at Memphis. Everybody seemed to be in Atlanta. Any guesses? Was there somebody everybody wanted to see?
  11. Don't count MWest out yet. They have a transfer, Taylor Hall. She plays on the Memphis Elite 15U team that won the Nationals and is about 6'2''. A real 6'2" who can run the mile in about 6 minutes. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  12. Ha Ha Too funny!! Don't want an uninvited guest showing up at your door do you? Most good programs "cheat." They can't stand not practicing. Tips can come in all forms--text messages, emails, snippets in the hall, study hall, etc. In my opinion, if you're playing, you're cheating.
  13. It is interesting to see how everybody determines the "fine line." My daughter has block scheduling and 4th period is conditioning. They start practice with the ball when they officially can. My daughter told me that they cannot play scheduled pick up games until the first official day of practice because that is playing by her coach's definition. They run, jump rope, play coordination games, lift weights, etc., until that magical day.
  14. Didn't Cocke's point graduate? The one that was supposed to be so good?
  15. I'm just nosy!! Nothing other than that, honest!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  16. Ok--just a couple of more questions. Are you based out of Knoxville, if not, where, and if you are out of Knoxville how did you host Nationals in Clarksville??? Also, how did you get the xtreme girls? I know of several teams that have tried to get thier center and the guard that comes with the center and have been turned down.
  17. Heard you guys picked up some talent from the Xtreme -or is it the Xpress?- for the Nationals. Is this true and if it is, who were they, what position did they play, and are you going to keep them.
  18. Way to go Flight Silver!! We knew you had it in you!!
  19. Funny you should mention that!! From what I understand, our VB girls are in for a real shock this year on their uniforms. Rumor is that they are cotten and mid thigh!!! That should start a riot!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  20. I have a different take so feel free to disagree. When my daughter started the league was flooded with players, but as she has gotten older a bunch have dropped out, but it isn't necessarily because another sport stole them away-I'll get to that later--but because they realized that they weren't going to get past high school with it so why bust their butts on it. Basketball is VERY competitive and requires a lot of sacrifice and work to do it just for the "love of the game." Basketball requires girls to be more in shape than any other sport out there except track or cross country. I think the biggest sports drain has been volleyball, not softball. Have any of you looked at how many volleyball teams there are now and how big Club Ball has become? I was staggered at how many girls tried out for club ball in Chattoonaga. I know I spelled that wrong. Girls have to make a choice between the two-Club Ball is on at the same time as school BB and the beginning of AAU season. The average VB team is now taller than the AV BB team in high school. I think that is where the sports drain is coming from. I have talked to many parent's of X basketball players who are now devoted VB players and they say that the girls feel more feminine with VB. They have sexier uniforms, etc, and they don't get beat up every time they step on the floor. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" We are in a cycle, like everything else. It will come back around again.
  21. No, I don't have the website off hand--I found it just nosing around but I do have this link http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/...tory?id=3417376 She is a couple under Laure Avant
  22. /They didn't do that great at Nationals!! Taylor Hall (plays on 15U Memphis Elite team) isn't on there either and she has a write up on the Blue Star website from her play at Boo this spring!! I believe it goes something like "Taylor Hall has it all." How can you be ranked in Blue Star and not on that thing? I also know of several girls on the Blue Star Watch list that aren't on that report, either. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I wouldn't pay any attention to it!
  23. Actually, This is a deadly topic. All it is going to do is name names and hurt feelings. Everybody in their own region knows who deserves more credit and who is over hyped. I don't think that we need to air our personal gripes on this thread.
  24. Gator, I am so proud of you and your daughter's attitude!! Finally, a breath of reality in a parent crazed sport!! I have said it before and will say it again--a lot of this transfer business is the vanity of the parents. Less than 1% of these kids will ever go anywhere after high school.
  25. Battle in the Boro is an exposure tournament in the Boro. I know that the TN fligh Freshman won the 14U group. I have looked and looked myself for the scores and they are nowhere--as are the stats. I would love to look at them myself.
