  1. They have nothing to gain form talking it up on here before we play. Gallatin should win this one, maybe not as easily as some think, but we should win. A Bison victory, however, will bring them out of the woodwork! Gallatin by 14 or more.. Go Wave!
  2. That makes more sense MJpride, thanks, but that's why they actually play it on the field. MJ's D could very well be the wild card in this game. I couldn't really determine what the Wave may have from watching there first game. I don't really put much weight on scrimmage games either. I know this will be a hard fought game and probably a close score.
  3. It's an easy predictionon who will win. It depends on which MJ defense will show up. The one that played in the scrimmages or the one against McGavock. Now that's a prediction! Would you care to explain? Did MJ use a different defense for scrimmages?
  4. Score? Green Wave 39-7 If not for a very poor kicking game in the first half by the Wave it would have been worse...
  5. Congratulations to the Cougars! Good luck with Brentwood next Friday night...
  6. Hah Ha! I had a feeling that you were really Mr Clean...
  7. 88, it doesn't matter who he picks to win..... if the Gallatin D shows up and plays with an attitude then we have a very good chance to win this game; if they don't, it could very well be a long night at the Wave Yard! The O, I feel, will get it done in their typical fashion, sustained drives that end with points. However, if coach Lassiter strays from what got them here on offense then, well, we all know what that means! Been there done that!!!! I think the Wave gets its done in a close one. Go Wave!
  8. You talking about the last 6 yrs isn't living in the past?
  9. Just curious dome, have you seen Gallatin play in person this season? If so, which game did you attend?
  10. Gallatin came out more than a little flat! The whole atmosphere last night was weird, at least to me. The fans were quiet until the fourth quarter, the offense committed 3 turnovers and just didn't seem to be in rythem. I'm sure with Holder out that effects the timing with reads on the running plays. I also noticed the MHS D was making plays on Cloud just after he got through the hole. I do believe that their D wouldn't have made so many of those tackles if Holder had been able to play. We are just a faster, quicker offense with him in there. Not taking anything away from Cloud because he stepped in and did a great job running hard. Turnovers and our inability to defend the pass in the second half last night kept the D on the field way too much. Hats off to them for not giving up on McGavocks last ditch effort to score in the final minute and also to the entire offense for putting together the final drive in typical Green Wave fasion to go up 22-16. I'm with you, Gtowner, I hope we get to see the commandos again in a couple of weeks...
  11. I'm sure they do have day jobs but I do agree with you that the refs were pretty bad! Your boys played hard all game.. Go Wave
  12. Congratulations on your win and region championship.
  13. Yes the TSSAA did vote on this prior to the season, like it or not, it's the rule this year. I also don't think that Hendersonville cheated. I think they played a kid who they thought was elgible at the time only to find out that he in fact wasn't elgible. You and I obviously pull for the same team but please give a good reason why you think HHS should have to forfeit all their region games? That makes absolutely no sense and it makes you sound bitter. Our boys lost the game last Friday, pure and simple. Had they won this would be a moot point!
  14. That road trip sure has been very good for you guys dang it!! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
  15. Mom, if they had had to forfeit and not vacate the game our situation would still be the same. HHS region record would be 6-1 instead of 6-0. Same number of region wins. Another poster was correct in that if Gallatin had taken care of business last Friday night it wouldn't really matter. If HLHS and GHS takes care of business Thursday night then it takes care of it also. Now, having said that, I think the rule should have stayed the same as it has always been. If you play an ineligible player, for whatever reason, it should result in a forfeit for your team and a win for the opponent, plain and simple.
  16. There was a thread started already and it's sitting on page two at the moment.... This should be a great game to watch. I wish I could be there to see it. I am hoping for a HLHS victory but it won't come easy if it comes at all. Hunters Lane will have to play 4 quarters of football in order to have a chance in this one. HHS will stay the course, will play hard until the clock hits zero and they definately won't panic. Good luck Hunters Lane, I and the entire GHS fans, team and community will be pullin for you on Thursday night.
  17. I'm going to agree with you on this... if you aren't ready it doesn't matter who or where you play. Gallatin knows this first hand.. yes, it is always good to play at home in front of a friendly crowd but you better step it up come playoff time.
  18. It definately has the makings of a "TRAP" game for Gallatin. However, I've talked to a few of the Gallatin players and they definately know what's at stake with this game. The know they didn't play close to their best game Friday night and let a very good HHS team get the win. The also know that they can only control what happens this Thursday night against McGavock. They are also very aware of what McGavock can and will bring against them. McGavock has nothing to lose and I'm sure they will play as hard as they have played all season. You can bet that this group of boys from Gallatin will show up to play and take out a little frustration come Thursday night. They know the task at hand are ready for the challenge! Go Wave!
  19. There will obviously be differing opinions on this subject. My opinion is that the kids dad should have snatched a knot in his sons behind, apologized to the coach for what his son did and asked for a meeting with the coach and school officials the following week to discuss the coaches actions. Then when he got his son home remind him who was incharge with his belt and that if wanted to play football then the coach was the authority and that was final, but that's just me! I was reading an article that I found interesting and sort of hits on this issue to apoint even though it's non sports related and ends in tragedy. Here is the link for those who might care to read it: http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/473589.html It's a story of a 15yr old boy that is shot by a off duty police officer at a time when the boy should have been at home in bed asleep. Also, the family and story tries to give a justification for the boys actions by saying he has a "medical condition" of having a problem with authority. This type thing only makes it easier for youth, or anyone really, to do what they want because they can't help it. Anyway, it's insightful to part of what's wrong with our society in general.
  20. Are you telling us that the Gallatin Football team put up a banner declaring Decker Field Gallatins home field now? First I've heard of it... please elaborate.
  21. Too late, this thread has already been Squoshed... You seem to be a good kid.. stay behind your team! Go Wave!
  22. Do you know his number? Wonder if it was the same kid that dove over the center to hit our QB while we were in the victory formation taking a knee?
  23. Congratulations, Blue Devils, on your win Friday night. Gallatin looks forward to us both playing in the same region the next few years. Should be some great games! Good luck the rest of the season.
  24. Hummmm, I get you now, squosh.... you're a funny guy!
