Farragut is losing six. All starters. Three All-Region and five All-District (including best defender and goalkeeper)

The play that you saw, with the Farragut player taken down in the box, deserved a penalty-the Bearden player took the Farragut player down, then sat on her, not allowing her to go after the ball, which was still in play...the referee was not consistent between halves in what constituted a foul and what did not. The first half, which you did not see, was rife with "rough" play. One Farragut player, returning from an ankle injury, was taken down several times-tackled at the ankles-not hip to hip or shoulder to shoulder (and fouls called)..After the third time, a card was issued...to a Bearden player... That being said-it was a hard fought game on both sides, Bearden capitalized on Farragut's defensive mistakes and Farragut couldn't find the net. The refereeing did not decide the match, but I do wonder what the outcome would have been had the foul in the box been called (or the handball in the box where the Bearden player handed it down to her foot and cleared it) been called. I hope both Bearden and Farragut win their respective games Tuesday so that I can attend a rematch Thursday...no doubt these are two of the best teams in the state... Has anyone heard how the injured Bearden player is doing?
