  1. Awww, that's too bad. Who is #16? Names I recognize, numbers I don't. It's unfortunate to get injuries this late in the season. Hopefully, she will be ready to play this weekend.
  2. Thanks for rewinding at 4:00 am and for the correction, then!
  3. Someone said in an earlier post that Briarcrest may not have been healthy.... Something about #16 may have been injured. Who is #16, and was she able to play in this game? Will she be able to play in the SubState game on Saturday?
  4. Thanks for posting details about the game, h2odog! Thanks, too, soccermom127!
  5. Looking for details, h2odog, on these games in the West of Division II.... please!
  6. As posted by h2odog on another thread: Division II Sub State: Brentwood Academy @ Baylor Father Ryan at ECS St. Agnes at PJPII GPS at Briarcrest
  7. According to the TSSAA website: "The sub-state winners will advance to the central tournament sites, November 6 and 7 at GPS in Chattanooga, TN. The bracket shall be set by the Executive Director upon completion of the sub-state round matches." There has been some controversy over this and of the site that the state matches were played due to the fact it was being played at a school that was in the state playoffs giving them an unfair home field advantage. The playoffs for all divisions are being played in Chattanooga, and it would've been easy to trade fields with the other schools so that no one in any division would have the home field advantage. It was pretty hard to play when the entire campus had been let out of school to walk down to the stadium and cheer their team on! Not sure these things will ever be resolved. It would be much nicer to play at some small local college, and even nicer to have it in a more central location. So many of the state championship games are played at colleges giving the teams a sense of accomplishing something.
  8. Thanks, DonC! That is more than we got in Nashville, where the games were played by the way! Sunday, The Tennessean just put the times that the games were played on Saturday. Monday, we got box scores for the Father Ryan/GPS game and a final score of the Baylor/JP II game!
  9. Substate on Sat. Nov. 1 for Division II AA shakes up as follows according to the TSSAA website: Visitor Home (#5 East/Middle) (#1 East/Middle) (#3 East/Middle) (#2 West) (#3 West) (#2 East/Middle) (#4 East/Middle) (#1 West) So, plugging in what we have so far it will be: Brentwood Academy @ Baylor Father Ryan @ Briarcrest/ECS St. Benedict/St.Agnes @ JP II GPS @ ECS/Briarcrest Does someone in the West have updates for us on the winner of the Briarcrest/ECS game, or was it postponed like the St. Agnes/St. Benedict game?
  10. St. Cecilia in Nashville has the smallest field around. Very difficult to play on. Harpeth Hall has a nice new artificial field but size is still something of an issue. Ensworth has a nice new field, but it is inside a track and is limited on size. Brentwood Academy has the best playing surface to play on.... Great size, well-manicured, drains well, but NO LIGHTS. Games have to be played at 4:30 and many parents cannot make it there by then. Plus it limits post season play.
  11. Is Brown okay...? What happened?
  12. BGA, Ensworth and Brentwood Academy have been playing in Division II AA. They have been and are eligible to play in Division II A, but choose to play up.
  13. Games are Tuesday at Father Ryan: BGA vs Father Ryan BA vs JPII

    Who Is The Best?

Someone mentioned Lauren Stratton and Taylor Manning.... How did they do?
  15. Yes, congratulations to Baylor. Now, correct me if I'm wrong (and I sincerely doubt anyone would do that on Coach T!), but did Baylor not start out as the preseason favorite. So very impressive, especially if everyone during the entire season was after that bullseye on your back!
  16. Is it ever a busy day at work, MVM?
  17. Would like to see the details you would make up, Coniglio! Senior Night for BA. FRA up 2-0 at half, goals by Tory Pitts and Kaitlyn Smith. About 10 minutes (terrible with time) into second half BA scores two in a row and then another one in about five minutes (again, terrible with time). Goals scored for BA by Katherine Wright assisted by Kara Parkey and Kara scored two goals, one of which was assisted by Lindsey Rowe. FRA has three great players in Tory, Kaitlyn and Morgan Crofford. Morgan Alexander was out sick and probably hurt their defense. They played a good, tough game. I thought it was funny that the original poster asked if FRA could hang with the big dogs when FRA has championship after championship under their belt, they've only lost one game all season and they have NEVER lost to Brentwood Academy... until last night.
  18. Very good.... Used to live down the street from Sparky Anderson, so I was something of a Bench supporter, too. That didn't sound right! Thanks for putting the time into this. It is very much appreciated. Thanks, MVM!
  19. Thanks, you have several with five losses. Is that correct or do you like the number five? LOL
  20. MVM will you be doing Division II?
  21. Didn't Joshua Pleasant for BA run two 90+ yard runs back for touchdowns against Ravenwood? Hmmm...
  22. I believe that The Tennessean does a ballot poll sent out to the area coaches. Someone else in the know may want to confirm this.
