Ruthless is a good description. He's the Mike Ditka of Tennessee HS football coaches. Tough, mean borderline dirty football. Hit hard and hit all night with no mercy. That's just his style. Always has been. His teams are tough year in year out. Notice I said borderline. He knows the limit and pushes it. That's why one of the smallest schools in the state is a perennial contender. I'm not bashing the guy or his school. They have my respect. Just the way I see it...

I see it the same way. I said after the regular season game, if Greenback can shake the lunatic fringe, they're the best team in the east. However, costly penalties and mental breakdowns have haunted them all season. If they've gelled as a team and lose the look at me individual antics, they win going away by 20+. But we're talking about teenage boys here, so who knows...

Coalfield presents the stiffest challenge we have faced all year. Say what you want to about Hampton, Happy Valley, etc. This bunch of yeller jackets will be all sting! I hope our boys can keep it respectable. This is a great bunch of kids this year. On and off the field, I love them all.

Zac loves coaching under Mike and the other two really love playing for him. The culture is changing up here and I can't wait to see what the future holds. I heard a lot of fair weather fans flapping their gums tonight. Serves them right if they left when we were down 26. They might've quit on our boys, but the boys never quit on us or each other. They battled back and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Which is attributed to the stand up and fight and never give up mentality Coach Lunsford has instilled this year.
