I agree with ledgend here, Marion wins 27-7. It could get much worse, especially since TP had their way with the jackets. If it was in the valley, my prediction would be much worse, hopefully it will be!!!

Seq. wins this one 28-7. Whitwell is another weak team to get the kids confidence up in Dunlap. Looks as if their schedule is endloaded so we really wont know how good this indian team is until the second half of the season. Looks as if they are much improved though!!

I am sure Nick makes a big difference, but it is unfourtunate that he has been hurt most of his career. Hopefully he wont be out to long, I know that has to be hard on him, but we also lost our starting QB early in the game, so that makes it a wash in this game. Boyd won and that is all that matters in the standings!!

Congrats to both teams!! Way to fight hard warriors! I would have gone for it as well after the touchdown. Our kicks barely made it through the uprights both times, and with that last kicker Boyd had, that was probably our best option. Looked like the back bobbled the ball on the goal line or he might have gotten through the hole. Hard to tell if the Bucs are better than last year, probably so since everyone is more mature and a year older. Also, don't think you can assume the Warriors are not as good as last year since they have a totally different offense. I didn't like the spread 100% of the time, but i would like to see a two minute offense with the spread. What is Hill's status?? Was it his ACL, or just a sprain?? Keep him in your prayers please!!

Guess we can't call you a fair weather fan, but I have been following the warriors for 22-24 years. There is nothing I would enjoy more than a victory tonight, and I hope that it is also a close game. I just gave my honest opinion on the game, thats all!!

I am a realist and I call it like I see it. Boyd has a good physical line and it is going to be tough to get through. Do I hope they get through and win, absolutely!! I support the boys everyweek and am in the stands every week cheering just like you. Boy you showed what you knew last week didn't you??? Just how long have you been following the team??? My main concern about this game is that our line isn't very good right now and we tend to put our corners on an island with no saftey help. That worries me a bit so I will say the score will be 28-13 boyd. I dont think that the quarterback issue is a concern, because the 1st and 2nd string QB's are neck and neck.......It will be good to see what our offense can do without all that speed on the other team.

I know all the facts. Always lose to a team that you shouldn't. WOW, you beat him one time, the two years before that were combined 120-0 or something like that................but that doesn't matter, doesn't matter about winning 9 region championships, still lose to less talented teams over and over again, and I never make excuses when we lose, so i don't know who you are refering to. Mark it down!!! Tyner is a very undiciplined team, always has been, you must admit. They always lose to a better coached team in the playoffs........you mean to tell me that York, Westmoreland has the athletes to compete with the most athletic team in hamilton county?? Absolutley not!!! I always wanted to see Tyner coached by the staff that coached Marion in the early nineties........wow, they would be unstoppable!!!

They may win zone, but I also saw where you said that Cannon and Seq were toss ups. That is laughable. Seq hasn't beaten us in a while and wont this year, and neither will cannon. 6-4 at worse, or 7-3.

Last year was a shutout, 28-0 but I think it is a little bit misleading. Seven fieldgoals, i believe or was it five?? One defensive touchdown. The offense couldn't move the ball very well against the Warriors last year either. I know with Hughes back that could change. Just because SP beat Marion bad shouldn't give yall hope for an easy game, because truth is, They will probably do the same to you guys in a few weeks. My main concern is how Marion's line improves from game one to two. They were dominated at SP and if they don't improve and Boyd is able to run at will, then it could be a long night in Jasper. Marion is the same as said above, bigger, stronger and faster, so this should be a good game.

As for Marion's season, 3 of the first 4 are tough, I think that they realistically have a shot against boyd.......Tyner's line will probably be too tough on the warriors, seeing what the pirates did to them. After that, they should be fine until they go to York Institute, which is also state ranked and beat them twice last year, although they weren't blowouts, so we have a shot. To me 8-2 is a little bit of a stretch, but more likely 7-3 or 6-4 heading into the playoffs, with a chance to get one playoff win, depending on how the bracket is.

WOW!!! Marion will beat whitwell as bad as the pirates beat them. So just imagine what SP will do to the little kittens!!! I bet Vic and the pirates remember the gym thing.

Like I said, I didn't have to eat any crow. I never said that marion would win this ballgame. Pull up some earlier posts, I have done nothing but praise your son, and said he would be a running back at Vandy and Miss. ST so just chill out!! I agree he is a good player on both sides of the ball, never said he wasn't, but I have my opinions and you have your also. I just don't think he can be a running back at AU, ALA, or TN., more suited to saftey. I hope he turns out to be a special player in college and makes the big time!! I have no beef with him or the pirates....doesn't matter whether he goes to school at a smaller school or a big one, as long as he gets a free education out of it. Montrell was definitely the best RB south pitt had last night. I just call them like I see it though, so I have nothing to eat crow about. I said it was going to take a special game to have a chance, and got blasted by even the Marion people. Early, it came down to not being able to get stops on 2nd and 3rd downs against the pirates, but that is where that speed hurts tremendously. SP on the other hand got the stops that they needed and those jittery penalties had them going backwards as much as the SP defense did. As I said, Montrell was really special as was Malcom Jones last night, man I wish SP would put in a little spread offense package with all of those athletes in space. That would be even more special. David Jones, like I have said will be a good saftey at the major D-1 level, or perhaps running back at a smaller D-1 school, but putting it on the ground two times is not something to be really proud of. The Pirate line whipped marion on both sides tonight, I felt sorry for martin though, as soon as he got back in his drop, he had about 2 seconds and BAM!!! Congrats to the pirates and bring on another gold ball and undefeated season!! Keep working hard marion, you were in better shape than the pirates as I saw no players cramping tonight at all on the warrior side. Not all about drinking the fluids guys, Boeck does have them in good shape, you must admit pirates!! A good season is still in your hands guys, go get Boyd next week.
