No excuse for losing this year,

A down year at mc last year with the major injuries should make them better for this coming year for sure. They are loaded with a lot of the sophomores getting lots of playing time. They still need some toughness in the middle at fullback and I would love to see the big linebacker carry it some. He was a load last year but rarely got any carries. Got a transfer, a hometown kid coming back also from Beech so that should help tremendously. The time to win is now as there is talent across the board and they know a .500 season won't cut it.

They might but I am not sold especially if they take a step back.

Not sure they dominate their region. They might though. I say smithis the team to beat in east.

I dont know a lot about prep but I am pretty sure all those kids have been together since 6th grade.

Agree, don't see many crying from jasper. Stone was smart not to want to renew, it's really a lose lose for him, especially after Victor dominated that series.

Believe it or not, Fitz has applied for the Marion job several times during his tenure at Meigs. Why he wasn't hired, who knows. Lucky for Meigs, he wasn't. That doesn't change the fact that he left meigs for sale creek, more money or not. And no, if a coach leaves for more money you can't blame him.

East ridge, chattanooga central, and I think we did pick up dade again, so that is another opponent we played last year. Still looking for another I think. Had trouble filling the last one for whatever resason

Only common opponents we have from this past year is tyner, Forrest and seq. Will be 7 new ones.

Marion is having a difficult time filling their schedule. Looks like the only game that was on our schedule this year and Next is possibly Forrest

Ok, we were the ones that went from 2a to 3a. That 94 team was arguably the best in history. 94 had the better defense, 95 better offense. Those linebackers on the 94 team were 6'3 220 and 2 6' 180 and 215

So we're yall moving around in classification? Portland was 3a but meigs was 2a if I remember correctly. We smashed Portland in the title game in 94.

Instead of fixing classifications where someone else can win a title, the money hungry tssaa should go back to 4 classes where district travel wouldn't be 70+ miles for each game.

But just think, once you make the playoffs you will be raking in the money since the tssaa only takes 50% and you split the other with your opponent.

Like I said, you don't know half of what you think. If Dale was upset with money the first time, he wouldn't have wanted to come back again. The money that was raised for him was given to his assistants as he didn't need the money. There is a reason he has never won the big game. Good riddance.
