Here's a thought you may want to consider. No one I know of at Westview cares at all what you think of the westview qb or the decisions the coaches make on where to align running backs or on who runs the ball. I'm quite sure you can find a fault or two with the "pioneers" that you can "discuss" with such assurance. Get a life and keep your ignorant criticisms of Westview players to yourself.

If they are ever going to do it, it had better be now. Westview limps in this one injured and inexperienced,but they will only get better as the young kids gain game experience. Y'all have a safe trip over.

Maplewood [isn't that some kind of tree?] isn't going to beat the "breaks" [whatever that is] off anyone in this part of the state because they are too cowardly to schedule outside of metro and the only time they have to play someone like Henry County is when they make the playoffs once every 30 or 40 years. You introduced Westview into the conversation, not me. Go ahead and make that call and schedule them. It would be the worst mistake you ever made. Wait... That's wrong. The worst mistake you made was to think you have a chance against Henry County.

I try not to get involved when I don't have a dog in the fight, but you are sadly misinformed about both Henry County and the quality of their opponents. Tell your team to cruise on in to Paris expecting a cakewalk and they're going to experience not only a long, but sad bus ride home. As far as you criticizing Westview, we've put more players in D1 and the NFL than any school on your pathetic schedule and maybe all put together. If you're so convinced of Maplewood's superiority, have your coaches call up Henry County or Westview and schedule a game after next year, as both always have trouble getting people to play. Nah, you won't do that. It's safer to get on some message board and run your fat mouth about teams you've never seen play. If you're lucky, Henry County will only beat you and not humiliate you.

While agreeing that you do seem a bit curious and assuming that you're from Milan where for some the fact that others have pride in their school is seen as an affront to the "dawgs", I'll take some of my precious time to educate you. In the last 6 years[since Westview returned to 2a], what school has more region championships and appearances in the state championship game of all the teams that have been the region for those six years? Hint. It's not Milan. It's really okay for Westview fans to have pride and feel a sense of kinship among players and ex-players. It's no threat to you. There. Now you know at least a small part of the story. Will you understand? Probably you won't, but that's okay too. Is the tradition any thing like Milan's? Since you're such an authority on Westview, I'm surprised you don't remember that it was Legens who broke the 50+ yard run out running all those fast Lions and scoring the winning td to beat Camden. It's almost humorous to hear so many people have so many lame excuses about why they lost to Westview. So you lost your qb with an injury. That happens in football. Do you know anything about Westview's injury situation for the Camden game? I suspect the answer to that is,no. How do you know how fast any of the Westview players are? You ever put a clock on any of them or do just have some supernatural ability to sit in the stands with a hotdog in your mouth and a cushion under your butt and sense their speed? Besides this is a Milan/Westview discussion. Go back over to the Camden/Waverly thread and discuss your big game with the winless Waverly Tigers instead of criticizing people about which you know nothing.

I'm a Kevin Ward fan. Your gain was our[ Westview's] loss. I got in trouble over on the 4a/5a board when I said that Camden was the best team that Westview had played all year. I said it and I believe it.

If any team plays the schedule they do and gives up less than 10 points a game[ don't jump on me, Dawgs. I don't know the exact number], they are playing great defense, which should be no surprise to anyone. The last bad Milan D that I can remember would be like... never. Westview's D is pretty good too. This may come down to who can score once or twice. It's going to be interesting. Better go and work on my book now.

I'm not a Camden fan and doubt I ever will be, but your crude effort to besmirch Kevin Ward infuriates me. Coach Ward took Camden when no one else wanted the job. The program was a mess and they were taking beatings from bad teams and stood no chance against the "real 2a football teams" like Milan, Huntingdon and Westview. I remember a game, before Ward went to Camden, at Westview when Westview played their freshmen for 2 1/2 quarters and won by 60+. THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN ANYMORE. For your information, Camden IS a powerhouse. Get your coaches to drop the out of region patsies like Gleason and Greenfield and schedule Milan, Trenton Peabody, and Westview and you will have some inkling of the type of football Camden plays. Fact is your region has 1 very good team[Camden], 1 okay team[Huntingdon],and a bunch of have nots of which SC is probably the best. Doubt that? Try playing Camden's schedule. I'm betting you won't dare.

Oh, come on Viking 14. Holding goes on on every play and just because you found a photo with a disembodied hand grabbing a jersey doesn't mean that Westview holds any more [or less] than any other team. You have noticed that until now, that no one from Westview to my knowledge has got on here complaining about late hits of which there were several by Humboldt. By the way, Westview was flagged several times for holding. Did that help them or hurt them?

I guess the one good thing about playing at UTM is that there are plenty of good seats on both sides. Just be careful driving through Greenfield if you come up 45E. SPEED TRAP!!!!
