  1. To call Isaiah Anderson an 'oversized beanie baby' is just flat out stupidity. He's possibly the meanest LT in the mid-state, and doesn't stop blocking when the whistle blows - he stops when his opponent's face is in the dirt. You've been wrong almost every time you've bashed the Rebels... not one of your statements have made any sense. And all I can say to that is that you are a scarecrow... If you only had a brain, Wilcofootball... if you only had a brain. This week's game in Ooltewah is on FRIDAY night, and the Rebs do NOT play on any more Saturdays this season... just to clarify things for some of you. It's going to be a low-scoring slugfest, and hopefully the Rebels come out on top!
  2. You should have gone to the game... Ford carried it 4 times on the opening drive. Those stats are not correct and it looked like they were going to the backs on screens at well. Do you guys count those? I do. It helps when you go to the game and see it for yourself. I heard its not unusual that the paper or stats for some high schools are not accurate. Just saying. I now know for a fact that those stats are correct. Ford carried the ball 6 times for 68 yards. And no swing routes and screen passes don't count on that, they are counted as receptions. Those stats are incorrect. They even got the score wrong... it was 31-14, not 31-13. I would never trust high school stats coming out of the Titanssean.
  3. Obviously you don't know much about these Rebels... so I advise you to sit back & relax and be proven wrong (again) on Friday. There more junk you write about Franklin, the more you'll look like an idiot...
  4. As the great John McEnroe put its... "YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!" The backbone of Centennial's team graduated last year, and Franklin should control the game from kickoff. Their defense swarmed Christian Co. yesterday, and I expect to see the same against the Cougars. As long as the "over-rated" (as you like to put it, wilcofootball) 3-headed monster of Keylo, Ford, and Dye hold onto the ball, it's game over. Franklin 21, Centennial 7
  5. I dont think you can blame the coaches for the Brentwood loss. We just didn't execute in the 2nd half, and Brentwood wanted it more. Hopefully we get another crack at 'em if we can beat H-ville!
  6. This is going to be an excellent game!! Franklin's offense has been a well-oiled machine of late. Graham Nichols to Jarriel Eaton is one of the best QB/WR duos in the state, and of course you cannot forget about the 3-headed monster in the backfield with Ford, Lee, and Dye. On the defensive side of the ball, Donnie Webb has that Rebel D in top notch form, not letting Hunters Lane do anything last night. 2 years ago, H-ville came down to Franklin and pulled one of the biggest in the playoffs that year. Their WingT offense ran down our throats that night. Not this time! The Rebels (who played in that game) will have revenge on their minds and the gamebreakers (Ford, Lee, Eaton) will find a way to advance Franklin to the 3rd Round. Like I said at the top, this will be a great game, probably one of the best in the state on Friday. FHS seems to play their best on the road, and it'll be a very close ballgame that will be decided in the 4th quarter... Rebels 21, Commandos 14 Best of luck to Hatfield and H-ville!
  7. Franklin SHOULD win this by 14+ points.. but like HuskerGymnast said, it could be a trap game with Indy next week. But if its a monsoon like last Friday, I like the Rebels ground game to dominate on a sloppy field... Rebels 28, Raiders 14 P.S... Has anyone heard from Kingz615 this week!? Thats what I thought...
  8. Yes, WC-TV (Channel 3) will tape it and televise the game next weekend... should be a classic!
  9. Yes.. possibly the best milkshake ever! Kingz615 - I think you need to keep your mouth shut because obviously you have no clue what your talkin about... please tell me how you would know that Gordon is 'poor' against the pass? We would be prepared for that slant because those freakin raptors ran that same play against the rebels 2 years ago in double overtime on a PHANTOM 2pt conversion (the RB in the flat never got into the endzone). Believe me.. the Rebels will be ready. They'll be seeking revenge from last year's game... --- In reference to an earlier post, Todd Campbell was a freshman at UT last year, and was redshirted. He is expected to play some this year, and get much more PT in the next few years.
  10. That is very true... Hillsboro has athletes galore and McCallie's offense is a very steady, well-oiled machine that few teams in the state will be able to contain. I hate to break the news to you kingz615, but BA is not as good this season. Hillsboro thumped BA in a scrimmage this season, and Independence was a couple dropped TD's away from being the first team in WilCo to beat them. Don't be surprised if McCallie beats BA this week. Franklin's defense has suffered numerous injuries already, but should be getting a starter back by Friday. The D will get better with time... only 1 or 2 starters are returning from last year. Donnie Webb knows what he's doing. The offense is as potent as ever. Alex Ford is an animal carrying the rock (averaging 9 yds/carry), and Keylo Lee is as smooth as the other side of the pillow. Graham Nichols is a very good QB that has experience. Also, you cant forget about WR Jarriel Eaton. He has stepped up big-time in the first two games. It will be a very good game & atmosphere at Ravenwood, with Franklin squeaking by once again... 20-17
  11. The Indy fans think they have the best team ever because it's by far their best year ever.. so yeah, they're gonna dominate the message boards and talk trash because they don't know what else to do. Most of us Franklin fans have been in this situation numerous times the last decade, and know how to act to a great season. Indy fans are blowing their team out of proportion... yes, a great season.. but they haven't played anyone the last in the last 3 games? Weak Columbia and Gallatin teams, and an average Antioch team. Meanwhile, with their backs against the wall, the Rebels went to Dickson & beat 'em easily, shut down "The greatest RB ever" (according to Overton fans) Danielle White, and went into the hostile territory of Hunters Lane and dominated in every aspect of the game against the best defense they've faced all year. Coach Webb knows what to do in these games.. he's led ferocious defenses to great success for a while.. he'll definitely have his "D" ready for Friday. Let them have their fun now, but we'll see how much fun they're having @ 10:00 Friday night!
  12. It probably would've been on CSS if they covered the playoffs... it's a shame they don't
  13. I don't need to watch Pettigrew on tape.. I saw him with my own 2 eyes get a grand total of 26 rushing yards (according to The Tennessean)... that's generous! In the mean time, pop in the game tape from tonight in your VCR, sit back in your recliner, and enjoy 320 yards on the ground against a very stout Hunters Lane defense.
  14. Trust me, it hasn't. Get ready for this FHS team... before you know it, our QBs will run 40 yards for a TD in a blink of an eye!!
  15. Let's be real here.. For Franklin, you can't stop Keylo and A-Train at tailback, you can only hope to contain him. This program has been gaining that championship swagger from a few years back when they went to State, ever since beating Dickson. If any of you think Indy's putting 31 up on the Rebel "D".. you must be crazy. Indy better be ready on offense because Coach Webb's defense will hit you in the mouth like you've never seen before. Hopefully the Thanksgiving break won't keep fans from coming to this one.. well worth the price of admission. Rebels 24, Eagles 20 in an epic battle. P.S. The 41-16 win did not satisfy Franklin's revenge on last year's defeat.
  16. Your basing that comment on one game. You're acting like you won state on that one win - but look who's still playing! Franklin's offensive line has been improving each week. Heck, the whole team has improved since the Brentwood game. Get off these boards, get back to the weight room & prepare for next season. Oh yeah, take an english class so you can learn how to spell and use proper grammar.
  17. This could be one of the better games of the 2nd round.. Since it will be a low-scoring game, whoever makes the least mistakes will win this one. I like Franklin by less than a TD
  18. Well, well, well.. it looked like Danielle White didn't have much support from his 'mates... Overton's record definitely showed. Tough test next week at Hunters Lane. Though Franklin beat 'em 40-6 in the last scrimmage before Week Zero, I'm sure Hunters Lane has improved.
  19. One of the only reasons why Brentwood ran all over Franklin is because the Rebs were without 2 of their best defensive linemen, and starting middle LB - due to injury. With those 3 in the lineup, Franklin probably would have won that game.... Brentwood couldn't really consistently stop the run in that game either... so i guess Hunters Lane will win by 14
  20. I was just bringing up the Antioch playoff games as an example of Franklin's track record in the '04 & '05 playoffs. Yes, Coach Webb runs the same smashmouth defense he's been running since he got to FHS in 2004. He's gotta be one of the best defensive coordinators in the state... The Rebels remember how last season ended in the playoffs... that loss still hurts the players when they think about it... they'll be driven more to win on Friday because of it.
  21. Franklin's defense has proven themselves over the course of the season. They stopped J. Seward at Hillsboro (yes, it was only 3.5 quarters) They held Pettigrew from Indy to 26 yards (he's done much better against almost everyone else) And, they stopped Hillsboro 5 times... yes, 5... inside the 5 yard line. That setup the Rebels' 99-yard game-tying TD. This defense is legit, and has proven to shut down great RBs from your region in recent playoff seasons (Lamarcus Coker, Preston Brown - both from Antioch) Coach Webb will have his defense ready to stop White.
  22. Look... let me put it to you this way... If Franklin plays ball-control offense, and doesn't turn the ball over, they'll win. You can talk about the Bobcats' "AMAZING" running back all you want. Franklin's D is a beast at each level. Yo Butler and Carter McPhee are dominating DEs and Justin Hampton can knock your brains out. Franklin has a 3-headed monster at RB (Lee, Steele & Ford).. all bring different dimensions. Good luck stopping all 3!!! Franklin 20, Overton 7
