  1. Weak teams advance farther than the stronger teams when 1 quad is loaded up. It just makes the playoffs more exciting to me when the stronger teams are left until last. Last year I thought that the Wayne County & Huntingdon game was the best game of the playoffs. The Wayne County & West Carroll game was way down the line as far as excitement. I just thouht that had Huntingdon been in quad 4 like they are this year it would have played out better. Hey Wayne County won it all anyway.
  2. No you Don't. WC gave you all you wanted earlier and they could beat you this time around. Besides, No one in Collinwood wants to see WC win.
  3. I just don't think that the TSSAA does a very good job of balancing the Quads out. I know that it is a milage thing but don't put all of the strongest teams in the same quad. Last year quad 3 was loaded up and quad 4 was weak. This year quad 4 is loaded up and quad 3 is weak. Why not move a couple teams around to balance it out? Last year Huntingdon, PC, Clarksville Acad and Wayne County were all together and this year Huntingdon is in Quad 4. PC & Huntingdon have been back and forth from quad 3 to quad 4 over the years so just use boarder teams to balance them out. Columbia Acad is in regon 6 until the playoffs then they go to quad 2 to play (which is ok) so just mix things up sometimes and balance things out.
  4. I'm going with Huntingdon out of the west. They will have to beat Collinwood to get to Cookville. Moore County could be the team in the East. I know SP and Gordy have been tuff the last 2 years but look for Moore County to be a player this year.
  5. That was Dillon Warren. Really great player & student for WCHS. Aweasome young man. Working and going to Columbia State now.
  6. Yes. He reinjuried the same knee is what I'm hearing and had surgery on it again.
  7. I have heard that Jacob Daniel & Ethan Butler both are out for the season @ Cwood. I hate it when these kids play their entire lives and get hurt, then miss their senior year. Cwood will be the strongest team still in 12A.
  8. I look for WC to go get the win this week and if WC pulls out a win this week look for them to pull the BIG upset with Cwood next week.

IDK much about the other schools but Richland has a super player in Jacob and big post player Zac Davis.
  10. Collinwood should be the team to beat. They have just about everyone coming back and several of them are only juniors. Logan M, Tucker Roberson, Wesley Pigg, Jace Brewer and Peyton Risner are juniors that I can recall with Hunter Andrews, Ethan Butler & Jacob Daniel all seniors but I have heard that Butler & Daniel may be injuried and out for a while. Littlejohn was a soph that looked to be helpful. S'town lost several but will have big man Seth Wright back with Cason Glass (seniors) and Tanner McGill and Morrison with a couple other young guns. Perry County will be young and raw with a couple of returning players from a very good team. Loretto could be the top team with almost all of theirs coming back and big players. Wayne County has 1 maybe 2 starters returning. Seniors Jalyn Bevis, Carson Kelly, Big Zac Risner, Cory Stooksberry and Dylnn Prater with juniors Keeton Kelly, Jacob Bevis, Ian Powell, Sawyer Ray, Horton and soph Lucas Pierce, Chase Camfield, and others. Clifton will have several back as well in Matt Lineberry, Zek Davis, and others.
  11. I agree. If a call is blown and can be corrected then correct it. Umps miss calls and sometimes (many times) it does indirectly change the outcome of the game. On a seperate note my son was playing basketball in the region tourney this past year and a ref was making a call under the basket and while doing that another player ran into my son away from the play and flopped (official making 2 calls at the same time). My son was not moving and had his hands down as to take a charge (film to prove it) from the player who flopped and was called for a flagrant foul and ejected from the game. He had to set the next game out and will have to sit out game 1 this next year. My point here is the official blew the call (it is on film) coaches and other school officials said should not have been a foul called period. They contacted TSSAA about the call but it can't be overturned. Here is the thing, if officials can review a bench clearing fight and punish players & coaches after it is all over why not fix a blown call as well? Just get it right.
  12. Congrats to Sheyenne Reaves, Daniel Rumbaugh, and Andrew Compton for their earning scholarships to go play football at Cumberland. Good luck guys.
  13. WOW!!!!!!!!!! did not see this happening.
  14. I know how good Ring is and it would be tuff for PC to pull it out. Grimes & Qualls are good hitters and thought that maybe they might slip a couple in. Congrats to Both teams.
  15. I was blown away that Drew Luker was left off. I thought that he had a real good season. He pitched well in the games that I saw and even hit well. I thought that the injury bug bit hard in District 12 this year. Several seniors & top players were injured and did't have the type of season that they should have had but were able to play. Blaze Daniels, Jordon Chard, Boston Ray, Blake Qualls (had a good season), Jordon Gowen and probably some others including junior Eathan Butler all of these guys were good pitchers for their teams. Qualls was able to pull it together to have a good season but the others were not. Can you imagine what it might have bee like in D12 had all these guys been able to perform 100%. Most of the injurys were shoulder.
  16. I think Cwood did get the better draw.
  17. Down here in single A it's hard to find several quality players on a team. Usually when you do find them they are the teams winning that year. It's hard to have a good quality coach in single A because, if they are good, then they are usually hired away. The better baseball programs are usually in triple A and those teams are good year in and year out. My son was in single A and the travel ball was better for us and I really enjoyed watching it & meeting new families along the way.
  18. I would have to agree. I like the travel as well getting to visit other towns and see other ball parks.
  19. From WC: Clint Butler, Dakota Lowe, Boston Ray, and Austin Rice was District MVP.
  20. 2 to 1 PC. Grimes with 2 hits & Qualls with 2 RBIs.
  21. Who pitched here? Does MTP have Ring available for Championship?
  22. Do Cully & Richland play early game then MTP get's winner tonight? Winner of MTP and Cully/Richland winner would then play CA for Championship tomorrow? Is this how it is to be? I can't find a bracket.
