  1. Ronnie, The new rankings look good. I haven't received anything from Hamm this week but will likely have my DII rankings up tonight. Nice seeing you for all of 10 seconds on Saturday (or was it Friday?), sorry I didn't have longer. Will definitely see you at your house in about 2 weeks!
  2. BCB, My top notch research team has been wondering this one as well, purely for ranking reasons of course /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />. However, I do believe you are forgetting at least one integral piece in there. Young Taylor Silberman who was at 103 last year should be in that mix from 103-125 somewhere...???!!! Would love to hear a more complete breakdown but we always know how McCallie works with their weights throughout the season.
  3. I wouldn't say I have made a mark there. I haven't attended a HS practice yet so that would be a bit hard for me to do. If I am able to make a mark it will be in a few years as the MS kids I help coach get into the HS but I certainly can't claim much credit for that either, there are a lot of hands involved in molding all the teams on the mat.
  4. One word for Cody Cleveland: IMPRESSIVE (borrowing ANIMAL's formatting). Cody won his finals match 21-10. He had two other decisions: 13-10 & 6-3. He also picked up a tech in the first round 16-0. Speaking of the first round match, if I am readin that properly it was a battle of old HS teammates. Unless it is a different Ryan Scott wrestling for Appalachian State then those two were both part of the murder's row McCallie had a few years back. It looks like Cody has taken it to a completely other level since then. Nice job by true freshman Matt Lettner finishing 3rd place as well. That one continues to impress as well. BTW, is anyone following the season that Anthony Robles from Arizona State is putting together? If you don't know his story you should google him real quick. Kid was born with one leg. He was a two time Arizona state champ and won Sr Nationals I think in 06. Already knocking off some big names. This kid has a fantastic story and it has been picked up by seeral national media outlets. It can only be good for wrestling as it is a lot of positive press. Take a look. I mention because when I saw the results I wondered who had knocked of Maldonado and put him in third, when I saw it was Robles I was a little less surprised!
  5. I am just glad that they aren't trying to compare DII rankings seeing as how we have even less info on them.... I think we have received the line-up for 1 team so far.
  6. Gosh I hope they are teaching you to write a little better than that at Kenwood. At least we can read the posts from the Clarksville guys.
  7. Hey I expect Ryan to be tough from 103 to 285. They are a well-coached team. However, I still am looking forward to seeing who is at what weights. I know at one point after the state tournament last year the talk was that Mix may move up to 215. Will Goodrum be moving up? Who replaces the 3x champ at 171 Aaron Bateman. 189? Many questions still left to answer thankfully the competitions start soon /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  8. Ronnie, Make it 4 choices: garrett.house@gmail.com for DII rankings.

    Rankings

Actually the DII seeding system has a very clear cut seeding criteria that has to be followed to the tee. Really comes down nicely because it is all about prove what you have done, not how good you think you are. At least everyone knows what the seeding criteria is before they ever show up for the meeting.
  10. Division II rankings have been posted. No rosters were received for Division II teams so weights and thus rankings are speculation at best! Get your rosters in and help up publicize the sport. For Division I: MatMan For Division II: Garrett House
  11. I am going to speak on Hamm's behalf here but that is really quite simple. They were one of the few teams to actually send in their roster! It is kind of difficult to rank kids if the rosters aren't being sent in. Oh not to mention that they have an improving program!
  12. And who will those 171 and 189 lbers be for the Irish?
  13. TDArtist, Thank you! I did fail to update the sidebar for the week one rankings. If you click the rankings tab at the top of the page it should return you to the current rankings automatically. I will fix that sidebar link tonight when I post the DII rankings. I really didn't even think about it since there isn't much need for it currently with only one sset of rankings out. My fault everyone. Once again: To see the rankings just click on the rankings tab at the top of the page. The 07-08 Week 1 link in the sidebar will not work until tonight. Thank you, Garrett House TWF Webmaster
  14. THE ANIMAL, When you get home check again if you don't mind and either post here or e-mail me to let me know. It could have something to do with the browser you are using but I don't expect it will. Giving me the exact message it gives would help. Thanks
  15. Thanks for posting the link RMC. Looks like I missed the fun this morning. Not sure why anyone is having trouble getting it to come up. If you are still having trouble after refreshing your browser page can you please post the link you are being directed to?
  16. Just wanted to let everyone know that the first rankings of the year have been posted over at www.tennwrestling.com. Only the DI rankings were posted tonight. The DII rankings should go up the night of 11/13 (likely late). Head on over and take a look at what our local ranker MatMan thinks about the upcoming season.
  17. Well let's call it the equivalent of something a little smaller (Episode I maybe?) since only the DI rankings went up tonight. The DII should get up tomorrow night though... taking care of someone sick has kept the DII rankings aside for one more night. I think we will all make it somehow /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> at least until tomorrow that is.
  18. No I just feel that the young man's coach is the best person to guide him with decisions concerning his weight and what the TSSAA stipulations are. That is part of his job after all. Glad to see you are back to your stalking ways /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />.
  19. Hamm has sent me the DI rankings and I should get those up along with the DII rankings tonight. That is over at tennwrestling.com of course.
  20. Not to be mean or anything but don't you have a coach you could also be checking with? He really should be the first person you turn to for these types of questions.

    UTC - Commits

to UTC? If so that is absolutely fantastic and I am glad to keep him home!
  22. That is correct. Found him in the brackets. Warren's two losses were a 12-2 MD to Travis Creagan and a 12-5 MD to Danny Tolbert.
  23. However, John Warren was not a state finalist last year so the original statement was incorrect...
  24. Ha!! I knew it. Next time you speak to old Harry let him know that there are plenty of us watching and wishing his wrestler well in the new blue colors. That match at the Roundhouse was tough being so familiar with both kids. We will all be wishing the young one well and hoping to see him succeed.
  25. Oh come now BCB, we both know that Harry did not pass. Or do you now consider him dead that he no longer sports the green around but is instead decked out in a particular color of blue?
