Stewart County tries not to get involved with these message boards some of the parents will get on here but thats about it.

this is not right either stewart county would have the automatic over cheatham there current record is 6-2 (3-2) with a win over cheatham county. but other than that i think it is good this means there will be 24 automatics and 8 wild cards so now the question is who gets the home playoff games out of this group because there will be 8 teams that are automatics who have to travel. At the time I posted that it was right because AT THE TIME the district standings had Cheatham ranked ahead of Stewart. That is why they say "AT THE TIME" because it can change from week to week. thats my bad i didnt look at that guess i wasnt payin attention but i am wonderin whether stewart can get a home playoff game

i dont know why people think it will be remotley close i see camden by whatever they want if stewart county and harpeth beat them really bad why would camden (who beat both of those teams by a large number) not be able to handle cheatham

much agreed that we need to stop bashing and more discussing camden and creekwood playoffs for sure but i believe the harpeth-stewart winner will go to the playoffs and i see stewart on top

The Montgomery Central quarterback broke the plain on the 3rd & goal sneak last night at Stewart County. The officials blew that one. On the 4th down play illegal motion was called and the offensive foul did end the game (which is correct). In overtime the officials threw a flag for an illegal formation which is fine HOWEVER why did they wait until the pass was caught for a TD by the Indians receiver before they threw the flag????? Hmmmmm..........that seems a little "smelly" to me As for the punt play it is called "the 1st touch rule". If you down a punt you are taught to PICK IT UP and hand it to an official. If you touch the ball and leave it there then the return team can run it back for a touchdown. If the return team even tries to return it and turns the ball over in that situation then they still get the ball where it was origianlly touched down by the punting team. I will not argue that the officials blew a ton of calls last night (for both sides it seemed like) but i dont remember the penalty in overtime but my question is why did the coach not send the field goal unit for mc out on 4th down it was tied up all they needed was a field goal. and i dont believe he broke the plain because one of the sc linebackers came up and knocked him back but thats my opinion. either way congrats to mc for improving greatly i think they will suprise some teams in the future.

great hard fought game stewart co. really showed heart. with 1 second left in the game it was tied 13-13 mc ball on the sc half yard line 4th down and sc stopped them. they did not let them score in overtime then sc scored on third down and won. if anyone could please clarify a rule for me stewart co. was punting the ball and 3 sc players surrounded the ball and touched it to down it they started to walk off then realized a mc player picked up the ball and was running it for a td. i was told that the ref told the coach that a player must pick up the ball and hand it to the ref but i had never heard that and no other ref had used that rule.

i hate to seem like im making excuses or anything so ill tell you straight up when i say creekwood played well and won the game. however i would not say it was a blowout even though the score said otherwise. it was only 7 to nothing untill 5:00 left in the half and stewart county had stalled out in the redzone twice at that point. hardly a blowout but congrats on the win.

I really think stewart county is more smash mouth than creekwood. From what i heard down in dickson county creekwood is more finesse and likes to pass, but just my opinion. Creekwood is good, no doubt, but just like my friends in camden said stewart is better than they get credit for. CW-17 SC-21

camden-35 sc-6 Camden up 6-0 on first drive then a great sc drive where the fumbeled and camden took it to score again making it 12-0 sc started to put a drive together but threw an interception camden played well and stewart county has potential they didnt live up to. sc made to many mistakes and camden as always made very few. sc has a strong offense but defense looked sloppy. congrats to camden.

great hard fought game by both teams. stewart county started off on defense hot but offense had to punt first series it looked like to be a tough game until the rebels second possesion then they broke the game open and never looked back. Cheatham Co.: 0 Stewart Co.: 41

both teams had there cheap shots, but its still just a game if your in the stands and not on the field why are you getting so upset over a game that some high school kids are playing, greenfield had alot of class #44 showed great sportsmanship, he is a great player and i hope greenfield contues there winning but its time for us to drop this game and focus on our next ones so sc focus up for waverly because they will come to play

i really think that we need a public, private split especially when they are dominating competition. they can give tuition assistance and other student aid ect. and this gives an unfair advantage to the private schools there are almost enough now to play in there own division

as far as i can see huntingdon has a pretty smooth route to the 2a state championship i like the way travel is made easier but its has some major holes in this concept

umm easy scheduale we played the same teams as we did for the past 5 years except for lewis county now we have huntington and loretto now we have east hickman otherwise same schedule
