well rebelyell they caled the game and wiped it from the schedule....the score, the stats, and the outcome all washed away. And i agree more is being said as to maryville/alcoa then west/maryville. but didnt the alcoa rb score like 5 or 6 touchdowns on maryville last week? and what is west's strength? (hint it rhymes with coming sacks....) west's strength is their o-line and their running game ( freeman 250+ yards last week) dont look for west to roll over for the rebels of maryville. west rebels 21 maryville rebels 20

You know...thats one thing i must say about coach cummings....he instills values to every one of the boys.....he does not allow trash talking or showboating....he respects the game, and want the players to do the same... this will be a defining game into what west will do this season, they need to rebound to the loss and loss of #20 nic williams who is most likely done for the season. nic was one weapon that at anytime could get you 15-20 yards plus he is a senior it will be nice to see if they can rally back and make the season a possitive one. west stil has plenty of weapons on offense and guys like #33 freeman who are ready to join #26 simmons in the back field and hopefully not miss a step. anytime you lose a big play caliber player its fun to see who is going to step up in there place. Well we have to move on to the next game.....wonder if the boys will even be up for this game, i've heard a few are talking about not playing anymore after last week....gonna be a rough week for the west boys....hardin valley had a nice win against gibbs in week 0 what are your thoughts

on the play before west running back nic williams #20 went down......he tore his acl and mcl in his knee and is done for the season......another loss (albeit a minor one in comparison) on a dark evening

once again our prayers go out to the family, friends and fans.........but i for one was glad to see the video.....we had some players at west that had thought they hit jake and caused this....atleast seeing the video will take this burden off these kids....it is truly a sad ending to a football game....never before have i seen so many people on the opposing sideline in tears when an opposing player was down.....and i hope i never have to experience something like this again at a game.....makes you put your life back it prospective......

just got home from the game......yes he did go down and we got news from the hospital that he did not make it.....our prayers go to his family.....

im not knocking south.....just from what i've seen this fall in scrimmages if west is executing its plays its unstoppable.....i hope its a close game....that plus the rain makes for good football!!!!

Well hmmmm.....not to start a new course of bickering but....we really dont care how bad db beat south.....or if there band can play football....this thread is for the upcoming game not the ones in the past.......thats the great thing about football, when the game starts its 0-0 what happened last year or the year before never matters...... but as to the game.....if the west receivers can catch the ball (unlike the jamboree) west should win this game pretty easily.....but if the running backs have to carry the whole offense (like #20 williams did at the jamboree) this could turn into a close game......ive heard west might be missing one of its linemen for the game.....and i think think it is issac but im not sure......anyone know?

i agree the kicker from bearded is awesome........catholic looks like they should have stayed down for a couple more years (welcome to the SEC of highschool football) fulton looked good as did ae.....west kinda disapointed me, other than #20 williams they had no offense and that was with cak stacking 9 guys in the box......gonna be a long year if they cant throw the ball......great games all around fun to see all the teams....wish clinton were at the jamboree love watching stone play QB he's the real deal..... i think it will be a tough season but i see the season going like this sullivan south @ west .....west wins in a tough match but i'll say 28-10 west @ hardin valley.....might be a good game but i think west wins big 42-7 west @ maryville .......wow hmm.....first loss ...maybe 21-17 west loses.... farragut @ west....dont wanna lose two in a row but i think it might......35-21 farragut win fulton @ west.....speed vs speed.....be great .....west win 35-28 west @ william blount ........might be a close win .....17-14 west lenior city @ west......west play lc good......35-10 west @ catholic......catholic moving up gets stunned by west 28-17 bearden @ west.....might be a good one bearden won the last couple and pull it off again....21-17 west @ herritage......finish the season strong and roll up a win 45-10 west 7-3 and in the playoffs i said it go rebels!!!!!!!

i agree that west was the best team of the 3....not to take anything away from morristown west or tenn high both are great teams......williams from west had a nice 61 yard run in the first scrimage then a 21 yard catch on his next touch then hardly got the ball after that. it would have been nice to see what he can do with the ball alittle more.....and simmons had a great catch and run for west on the other 60 play....again didnt get the ball much.....thats why i dont like scrimages coaches are trying people out in places rather than showcasing their players.

by position....hmmmmm well another year under his belt and a year wiser francis is looking better and more poised at QB.....the RB's are stronger than ive seen at west for year....seniors williams and simmons are ready to make their senior year a memorable one, and junior freeman is ready to step in if needed......the wide reciever are strong again with seniors gyebison and baylosis leading a outstanding group of recievers......west brings back all 5 starting linemen from last year.....with kolinsky, reid, and sowell standing out.....the defense brings back most of its starters from last year west lost 2 linebackers a corner back and the nose guard but have plenty of guys willing to step in and fill in....and with thompson back to kick the special teams is well just special......look for him to put it through the uprights off the kick-off again......south ur up

Actually the kid squatted 640lbs......and their 2 starting running back are 2 of the 15 that are power cleaning over 220.....i see this team being good but with a strong schedule it could be tough......with their running backs williams and simmons pounding the ball they wont need to use the passing game as much and will take the pressure off francis. I also agree that thompson could easily be a D1 prospect as a kicker but he doesnt practice kicking much due to trying to use him on offense and deffense as well as being a returner on special teams. Upset City Go Rebels.....this is the year we beat maryvile!!!!! i'll save stars n bars a drink after the west win

(stars n bars talk) The West Rebels really impressed with the win against Red Bank....the defense really stepped up and kept us in the game......the run game was keeping us in the game both backs were productive in moving the chains....I was glad to see Coach Cummings get upset with the refs over a call in the overtime, usually even with bad calls he's too laid back, i like to see some fire in him.....exspecially when it was a terrible call.....but we still pulled out the win.. Stars n Bars save me a seat this might be the best game of the playoffs again this year (just like last year!) Rebelron...thanks for the props i agree it should be a close game i just hope we call pull it out this time and limit our mistakes....otherwise like always maryville will capitolize on each mistake.

Well this was a good overall game......other than some weird time-out/non time-outs. well done by central on a hard fought game. I wasnt saying we had players injured but i'm sure we had some guys with some nicks and such that could use a week of rest. I think west could have won the game had we not gone to the "trick" plays (like a half-back pass back to the quarterback on first and 10 from the 9 yard line). But lets go to Chattanooga and win a game and see where we end up.. Go Rebels!!!!!!

This looks to be a good game. Both teams have had a great season and are playing for the number 2 seed in the region. From both of our games i would have to pick Clinton to win this game as long as Stone can stay healthy,(he is a great weapon). But we want Powell to win so we get the 3 seed but may the best team win and play a safe game so we can all represent our region in the playoffs. Go Rebels!!!1

Well after last weeks loss to powell (which still hurts after leading 21-0), hopefully west will rest some of its players who have some injuries for the playoffs.... West just needs to wait for the outcome of the powell/clinton game to figure out if they are the 3rd or 4th seed in the playoffs so win or loss it means nothing except some momentum going into the playoffs. I'd like to see us rest some players who are dealing with injuries but we still need to play a good game and work on our game plans to get the lead and keep it. Play safe and lets coast into the playoffs the right way Go Rebels!!!!!

Well i guess its time for me to chime in.....Powell has had a good year....but if i remember right everyone was picking clinton last week and west won....this week everyone's picking powell....and watch west will win....west has come together at the right time...other than the maryville game this will be the toughest game west will play this year.
