  1. I didn't say there was trash talking on the field. What I observed and heard was a couple of adults saying things. Since my son graduated last year and we have moved to Franklin, this was the first game I had been to this year. I don't know who HSSoccer is and don't know if he was the one I overheard. I was told by some Frankin ladies in the stands that the people who made the comments were Siegel supporters. Sorry
  2. Nice to see a Siegel supporter drive all the way to Franklin on a rainy night to keep stats and scout the two teams. I do have a problem, however with the trash talking and comments directed at the girls during the game by the same person. There no need or place for that and your definitely old enough to know better.
  3. Holt will have to be on his game and another big game will have to come from Rion Smith at sweeper. Rion was awsome against McMinn Co. Could see more of Rollins on defense also. I can't wait.
  4. As a fan of Riverdale, I would love to see a victory over Houston. Talked to a Siegel player at church on Sunday and he is of the opinion that Houston should prevail, but he's not a fan of Riverdale, that rivalry thing or something. Hope for a good clean entertaining game. Go Warriors
  5. My original question came up because I was surprised that Soddy was not in the Top 11. I also think that with a 17-2 record that includes 4 wins over teams ranked in the top 11, Riverdale could have an argument. I guess what I'm reading is that it is a coaches poll and not all the coaches participate. Thanks
  6. Who and how are the rankings determined? Is it a coaches poll or just what criteria is used for these rankings. Thanks
  7. Just got the call. Shelbyville vs Riverdale postponed
  8. Said player had already been warned earlier by the ref for other detrimental actions. Player had been fouled, which the ref correctly called, but retaliated by trying to kick the player who comitted the foul. Ref stopped play and warnings were given. If the earlier action had not occured, the language probably would have only gotten a yellow instead of the red.
  9. Not that it matters, but the score was 0-0 at halftime. Someone from Siegel did kick the ball in the net after the ref blew his whistle and the Cookeville goalie was running off the field, but the goal did not count. The Blackman goalie was stellar in the first half when Siegel had 4 or 5 good scoring chances. Should be a good rematch on Thursday and I have to give Siegel the edge.
