Remember if there is a match with Overton and Clarksville in the Consolation Semifinals both teams have split against each other. Overton won the last match at Clarksville Slamfest. They match up very well with one another.

Remember guys they are going to face each at somepoint at the state tournament whether it be the semifinals or finals. The best wrestler that day will win no matter what. All the ducking and dodging is meaningless. I personally know coaches will let their best wrestler wrestle irregardless,and he may lose but when they meet again the outcome may be different. The difference between 1st and 2nd seed is minimum especially when both wrestlers are dominant. Guys there are 4th seeds that beat 1 seeds all the time. It will happen this year as well.

Football is king down south and will always be and wrestling is up North in Minnisota, Ohio, PA, New York and New Jersey. There are 30 millions kids to choose from in New York and New Jersey. Hence Blair Academy dominance. We do have good teams and good individual wrestlers down south. Kids sometimes start wrestling down south at the beginning of there 9th grade year. I would imagine they start wrestling up north as early as 4 years old. Down south our best athletes are not wrestling either. If our best athletes were wrestling and they started young we would dominate. Our best athletes are playing football and basketball, and running track. Some don't care about wrestling at all. Thats my opionion

THese look fine, but I can tell the Brentwood Tournament is a preview of the Region Tournament. Daniel White is staying at 152. Emin will be at 130 or 135lbs. Raymond White at 189lbs from Overton has a shot.

No, I'm not worrying about Daniel White. I was just stating that a very good wrestler at 152 will not be wrestling at the state tourmanent from our region. Daniel White has a great opporturnity to prove himself whose the best 152 from our region is at the Brentwood Invitation this Friday and Saturday and at Region Duals.

Yes, but theirs going to be an odd man out 152 unless one of these wrestler decides to wrestle down. I believe one of the four at 152 will move down.

Yes, that may be true but I think Coaches are going to move there wrestler in the best weight class where that wrestler feels he has the best chance of doing good at the State tournament.

I would have to put Pat Chadwick of Overton and Matthew Clinberg of Franklin above the Indy kid at 103. Leo Hardy of Overton at 119 will make it too. There is going to be a good wrestler at 152 in our region that will not make the State Individual Tourmanament. Wiley Davis, Jack Whitehead, Daniel White, and Chris Sinsenheimer. One of these guys will probably have to wrestle at 145 or 160lb if they want to make it to the state tournament.

Not so fast my friend. We have beat Independence once for we will face Brentwood Jan 22. That match with Brentwood should be a thriller. Independence, Overton, Franklin, and Brentwood are all mirror image of each other. Lol

That is what it's all about. I would have done the same thing as a coach. You have to give yourself the best chance to win, and if that meant bumping wrestlers up or down to ensure that your team wins I would not be oppose to doing that.

I just think Justin Cash is too quick with that anklepick. He beat Daniel White 5-3 of Overton and that is probably his closest match to date. This will definitely be an interesting match to say the least. I also think the Hwt match will be one of the best matches also.

This could be the best match at the Father Ryan Tournament. How do you see this match.

Cash will take this easily. Marchetti will have trouble stopping that anklepick. Everyone knows Justin Cash is going to do it, but no one seems to have an answer for it.

We are looking forward to hosting you and seeing some great wrestling. How did Phoenix do in the State tournament in New York last year. I've heard of Gene Mills but don't know much about Phoenix wrestling.

I was there at MLK and while you state that "The Bears had just gotten their football players back that Monday." Both teams were not were they would be at the end of the year. I know Overton wasn't close to having their wrestler in their right weight classes and still beat Antioch. Good Job Antonio Lillard from HL. But there are so many great wrestler from Region 6. We have possibly six state champions that could come out of our region.

I don't think Antioch or Glencliff would make the Region 6 Duals tournament. We have Franklin, Overton, Independence, and Brentwood. Any of these 4 teams would win Region 7 easily. Region 6 is just tough. Not to mention Ravenwood. Every wresler is battle tested come State tourmanment.

I wasn't jabbing at Taylor or Chris I seen both of them wrestle and they are very good. I wasn't at the Tullahoma Duals. Daniel is family and what I will do the rest of the way is just let his wrestling abilities speak out loud. The state at the beginning appear not to know who he was. I was just making sure everyone does. But I guess the State tournament will be interesting this year and I see Taylor Dixon doing well at the state tournament.

I must agree with you on that. Region 6 is very tough and that is why I said at the beginning of the wrestling season that I thought there would be possibly 6 state champions coming out of our region.

I said at the beginning of the wrestling season that Overton strength is 112lbs, 119lbs, 145lbs thru 189lbs. That still remains true. We're doing great as a team. I can wait til tournament time come.
