  1. That was my grammer school coach lol. He moved to Georgia and won some High School championships later. Still see him around ballgames every once and a while. Still has the flat top cut lol. take out the urinals and just make everybody squat to pee now days
  2. Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me. (ever heard of that). Get some backbone, back in the real football days when a hit was a hit and not a personal, coaches threw balls at us, cussed us, pushed us, slapped us upside the helmet and made real football players out of us. I still respect that ole cuss. We weren't allowed to lay on the field hurt unless we were broke and bleeding was part of the game. If broke,we were told to get off the field if we had to crawl. If your too prima-dona to play football, maybe tennis or track is for you.
  3. I think Rhea Co has been improving as the year has been going. On the other hand SD has just quit and just trying to make it to the end. So I still don't read much into WV's 4 wins.
  4. Yeah Bradley now has 3 or 4 starters out for the year. Bradley's offense is still intact for now. Defense is where they are hurting. BUT BEARS still have enough to get it done. Ponies will hang in there for a couple quarters though. Bears by 21
  5. Yep just tough football. They need to take the kotex dispensors out of the locker rooms and play real man football
  6. This is Bradley's "real Team" week to show up. Seems like it's every other week so I'll go with the Bears only because this should be their "good" week.
  7. Section 13. Ineligible Transfer Students. The following transfer students are ineligible for a period of twelve months from the student's last participation date (these provisions do not apply to students who have no athletic record for the previous or current school year): a. A student who transfers without a bona fide change of residence by his/her parents; b. A student who transfers as a result of a change of residence is ineligible unless (1) the old residence is outside the territory of the new school, and (2) the new residence is both outside the territory of the old school and inside the territory of the new school; c. If a student has been ruled eligible as a result of a change of residence, and the parents or guardian return to the former residence before the student has been enrolled in the new school for one complete school year (or twelve months if the transfer occurred during the school year), the student will be ineligible for twelve months from his/her last participation date; 2012-13 TSSAA Handbook Page 15 July 18, 2012 d. If a student has satisfied all other requirements for eligibility but was under discipline at his/her former school, the student shall be ineligible at the new school for twelve months or until the disciplinary charges have been removed, whichever is less. If the ineligible student has an athletic record for the previous or current school year in football, basketball, baseball, girls softball, or track and field, the student is ineligible in all of these sports. In all other sports, ineligibility applies only to the particular sport in which the ineligible student has an athletic record for the previous or current school year.
  8. Whoa, that don't make him eligible. There's a long list that has to be met. Just because he lives in McMinn Co doesn't matter. Better go look at the rules
  9. hmmmm no one defending this transfer? Must be something to this one. Will he play this week? Will they TSSAA wait weeks before a finding (aka Signal Mnt)
  10. ugly. when does Mcminn usually call off the dogs?
  11. Which Bradley team will show up? If the turnover team shows, Blackman will rout them. If the week 1 & 3 team shows then we will have a good game.
  12. Don't forget a few years ago they suprised Cleveland on a rainy night. Don't think it will happen but those blue boys better be ready
  13. WV hasn't proven anything to this point other than they won games over teams that are waaaayyyyy down this year. Maybe they prove me wrong. The only team i have them even remotely competing with is Rhea
  14. hard work helps but lack of abundant talent hurts more. Mustangs might win one more but the really soft part of the schedule is gone. Mustangs go 3-7. The bad part of playing a really soft beginning schedule is that expectations get too high.
  15. When you play at Rhea you are behind when you get off the bus Thats what everyone says about Soddy
  16. Mustangs make History according to the Cleveland Daily Banner LOL , 3-0 for the very first time East Ridge 0-3 Red Bank 1-2 beat East Ridge Hixon 2-1 Beat Howard 0-3 and Marion 2A school Give me a break. Beat a good team and then we'll talk
  17. Gotta eat at Steve's Landing. Ribs are great
  18. EH will need to get ready to play those big games every Friday night starting next year. Big trade up Just Ask WV
  19. All I can say is after the last couple years, Anyone who can will try to mercy rule SM
  20. don't think we will have to worry too much about players going to WV from LF. Yeah WV has won 2 games against smaller schools with weak teams. The rest of their schedule is brutal. Rhea may be their only chance for a win the rest of the year and that probably won't happen. Kids just don't want to go to a sub .500 team unless they think they won't play elsewhere
  21. The owls have scored over 30 on their first 2 opponents. 1 of those being a very good EH team. So the question is, can the Raider offense keep up with the Owl offense.
