  1. Time for some honesty!!! There are no really good teams on the west side of the state! HC is the cream, but the rest of this side are a bunch of very average teams. Yes, some are better than others, but no really good ones. That includes the Memphis teams as well. With this extremely expanded playoff system, plus 6 classes it's really pretty hard to get very excited about the playoffs until at least the 4th round. Gallatin, you had a nice year. I'm not trying to take away from any teams accomplishments, but simply stating facts. If you combined the 6 classes back down to 3 as in all other sports you'd see some really great playoff games!!! But, it's about $$$ so there you go!
  2. The soft offensive/defensive lines of Gallatin is again why I'm predicting another laugher. HC's line will have little trouble with the ripples. Actually, with the reclassification of football, HC will show they are the class of the new division. We are the largest school and none of the smaller schools will pose a serious threat! HC has always had a pretty solid FB program, but when we dropped to class 4 a few years back our team started to show their abilities. If, we were in class 6, well.... but we're not and we are the biggest and best team in class 5!!! GW will simply be the next to go home after being manhandled by the Pats!
  3. Wait and see! Hope you like chocolate pudding! I stand proudly by my prediction!
  4. Beat NE 2 td's, and it appears NE is better than Gallatin so I stand by my post! As my grandma would say the proof is in the pudding! Remember this post after the game! HC 35 GWAVE 12
  5. If stating facts is a strange poster, then guilty as charged! Hendersonville shut out Gallatin and Northeast ended their season Friday night. So how can Gallatin pose a threat? The Pats rolled up NE as well and played a very average game for the Big Red. So, I stand by my prediction! HC in another laugher!!
  6. Most great athletes play multiple sports. Check out the top division 1 recruits in skill positions and you'll see that's true. Today the big time programs want their recruits to play more than 1 sport. It really helps them to become so much more of a well rounded athlete. Greg Paulis, Tim Tebow, etc.
  7. HC will destroy the Green Wave!!! Too many weapons and from what I hear the WAVE is more like a ripple! Not very tough and or physical. The Red Machine will roll on!!!
  8. Well I predicted a laugher! What was TSSAA thinking putting Springfield in playoffs? They will improve, but basically a jv team. Gallatin won't be much either! Go Big Red!
  9. Yes, we did loose to Clarksville. I'm not wanting to make excuses, but with our quarterback sidelined with an injury they jumped out to a lead. In desperation to maintain a spotless record, he was reinserted and on 1 leg almost pulled out the win. But yes, it was our only loss and it was to a very bad Clarksville team.
  10. In my opinion there's not a good team in middle Tn. I'm not sure there is a good one in class 5. The TSSAA has watered the football state tournament down so much that it's not much of a contest to even be state champs. But, that's another story altogether. But, yes, HC will roll through the playoffs and yes the Clarksville area is TERRIBLE in football. Memphis will present a more competitive game, but HC has owned them the last few years. And with the TSSAA giving HC home field throughout the playoffs, HC will finally play for the "watered down" championship!
  11. Springfield won't be happy long! HC has the TSSAA looking out for them. They will not be tested until the semi's! What a joke of a state playoff! There just aren't very many quality teams in the state in class 5. HC is head and shoulders better than there side of the bracket. The west is suppose to be descent, but most of them are only .500 as well! So enjoy this week, Springfield, while you can!! It will all be over soon!!!!
  12. Fastcat never ceases to amaze with his ignorance! HC football is lightyears ahead of the Knights. I will be shocked if we don't witness a running clock Friday evening. Oh yeah HC will be on the winning side of that clock.
  13. Yes, HC lost 2 very good players, but returns most everyone else! They have so many athletes that they will once again establish their dominance. Liberty simply is not in HC's class!!! A running clock is my prediction to begin late in 3rd quarter. Lil Mac will be the man! Sims will establish himself this year in fb & basketball as one of the best athletes to ever don a HC jersey!
  14. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Actually this year's Memphis teams are not typical Memphis teams. Don't be surprised if Beech gives R-E all they want. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> I don't think NE can beat Beardon, but not overly impressed by what Memphis has to offer THIS year! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" HC doesn't have the size WC has, but think they will compete. I've been told that the WC's big boys will dominate inside however. I guess it will come down to how well HC can handle pressure. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  16. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Rossview is probably the biggest disappointment I saw this year. Wow what a lot of talent to finish the year the way they did! Anyone know what's going on over there. I really thought they would be team to beat this year in district 5. Great size, athletes, some shooters, pretty well all that's needed to be a dominate team. Just baffling to see them collapse like they did. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  17. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> NE easily over Gallatin Springfield over MJ in close one Beech will destroy Rossview WC & HC is too close to call, both teams are known for their hardnose play and desire to win! If HC brings their A game I'll go with them. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  18. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> Just an observation. DC is one of thelargest schools in Class 2. It is not surprising they can roll through their league every year. If they can do the same next year when they are AAA and with schools their size then you can say they have done something. The shoe will be on the other foot so to speak next year. But DC is a very good team and should do well in post season play as well. Just an observation! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  19. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I disagree with your point abut only playing TN teams as being important. Lot's of good teams play all over the place over Christmas. Some go to Florid, Ky, Mo., etc. It's great to see a lot of different styles of basketball to help prepare your team for whatever they might see in playoffs. Doesn't matter about local rankings. Please understand I think NE might the most talented team team in district, but HC is not far behind. I also think both coaches do a wonderful job and could both represent district 10 very well. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  20. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> By the way I was at the HC/NE game and I'd venture to say HC has more fans than NE did there. That is from an unbiased observer. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  21. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> You're points are well taken. HC does need to make a post season run to establish they are a changed program. Hopefully they will. I do know they have the ability based on what I have seen. They play hard and play together. Yes every team needs luck. As it is so wisely stated "it's better to be lucky than good". Yes, also to the fact that NE was the better team last night as the Pats were the last time they met. It will be interesting to see if the 2 play again who will come out on top. I still feel they are very evenly matched, but NE does have a richer tradition. HC is having a special season based on earlier comments and I again wish them GoodLuck! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  22. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> In response to your statement that HC hasn't done anything special is only your opinion. Judging by the teams I have seen this year I would say they are toward the top. I have seen Liberty, JCM, Beech, Ridgeway, White Station, Dyer Co., Humboldt, Union City, Germantown, Fairley, Oakland, Mt. Juliet, and several other pretty good teams. They rank right up there with all those teams. It would be fair to say they would at least beat over 1/2 or maybe more. I looked up there record when you said they haven't beaten anybody outside district. Again you're wrong they won a Ky Christmas tourney beating some pretty fair teams. I saw there game with Dyer County and they should have won it. No they are not an automatic state champion, but they are far from a bottom dweller. So when it is said they are doing special things in HC they are right. Look where this program was a few years back this is a special season for them based on where they have been especially! Get out and watch a wide range of teams and you'll know what I mean. I have een HC play many times this year because I love their effort and desire. They may yet surprise some folks this season! Good Luck Patriots! /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  23. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Obviously you were not watching the game tonight. #10 pushed the HC player first. It was a hard fought game and appeared HC could very easily have won the game tonight. I travel around just to watch good basketball and went to see the 2 elite teams of district 10 tonight. I would say both teams are very evenly matched. If you say HC is no good then you're saying same for NE. I disagree with all your statements. Both teams are capable of getting to Murfreesboro and even though #10 pushed a HC player it was just emotion at the end of a tough game. Nothung more! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  24. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Northeast has to be favorite. They are at home, the most talented, and HC will be playing their 3rd game of week with no time to prepare for NE. With all that said don't count out the Pats. They really seem to be coming together at the right time. The last few times I've seen them they are showing very unselfish play as well as a lot of tenacity. Northeast is favored, but I love the way the Patriots are playing! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  25. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> SHONTE SIMS COMBO GUARD FROM HENRY COUNTY HAS TO BE ON THIS LIST! HE WILL DEVELOP INTO ONE OF THE BEST ANYWHERE! UNBELIEVEABLE POTENTIAL!!! IF HE CONTINUES TO WORK HE WILL BE A TOP D-1 RECRUIT NEXT YEAR AS HE IS ONLY A JR. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
