  1. Good luck to those in Wiiliamson Co. and congrats on having the state dual and traditionals in the same venue. Maybe now they will add double elimination to the format of the traditional since this facility is supposed to be big enough to handle it. Def glad to see it be on Thurs Fri Sat format as well. There will still be plenty that will not like something about the new venue as well. My brother lives 15 min from the venue so that is a plus for me and my boys BTW for those dreamers that make there comments Having the state tourney here is not why the Chattanooga kids wrestle well. Having it there will not make the middle Tn teams dominate...its the kids who are willing to work year around no matter where they live...come by UTC on a Tues Thurs or Sunday and you will see why these kids do well from here...they work at it. Same reason the kids from other parts of the state do well too...the do the xtra work. Cant wait to check out the hot mommies at the Galleria though LOL

  3. As I sit here listening to the waves crash on the beach (sipping a beverage created in a blender) from my room here in Va beach....I laugh at some of your posts. All made from speculation with not all the facts. I went to the head table after weigh ins yesterday and ask the Question" Do you have to be a Freshmen to wrestle in the Freshmen Nationals " and was told... no you dont have to be. I wanted to know because there were a couple of 8th graders that wanted to go from Chatt Town. So I thought I would ask for future reference.I was told that you have to be a SR to wrestle in Sr Nationals, BUT YOU CAN wrestle up in any of the other grade brackets. So it doesnt seem after the discussion that I had at the head table yesterday that anyone did anything wrong. BTW Just saw the Kennedy boys walking down the strip here by the beach and the LIL Man was smiling and didnt look beat up... so seems that he survived. So talk about positives that our TN boys are accomplishing and lay off the negativity. Soddy Freshmen Cambell Lewis is still undefeated @ 125 Indy Freshmen McCoy Newberg is still undefeated @ 145 Blackman Soph Michael Kennedy is still undefeated @ 189 We had many other young men from TN represent our state well with some good wins and good wrestling that is proving that these young guys from TN can compete on a National Level !!! I also overheard many spectaters from Traditional Wrestling States comment on the fact that they had saw that many TN boys had been winning there matches. Many compliments were given to our boys from the State of TN. Good luck to all those that are in this tourney on day three and give em heck guys !!!!!!!! Good luck to all of the TN Srs that start wrestling tomorrow...There is a group of young men following in grades behind you that will shake up things here in Va Beach and change peoples thoughts of TN wrestling for several years to come. AHHH I think its time to turn that blender on again LOL
  4. hope he does well ...Seems to be a talented wrestler...Guess if you got to go with big bro might as well wrestle /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> A couple of Chattanooga 8th graders that wrestled varsity would have went if they knew that they could have though!!
  5. congrats to baylors Jordan Leen here is a good interview with him after winning his conference

  9. Congrats to Heydon Nichols of Ringgold for finishing 3rd @ 103 lbs AAA Ga as a Soph Congrats to Landon Reed of Heritage finishing 5th @ 103 lbs AAA Ga as a Fresh Both guys were great training partners with the Madman over the summer and on Sundays during the season Thanks The extra work paid off for all 3 of them. Just a couple more weeks and you guys have to get back at it for Fresh Soph Nationals in Va Beach LOL. But for now enjoy the good food and rest ...you all 3 deserve it!!!!!!!
  10. That cant be true ...My son weighed in on day three D 1 without a arm band.
  11. The Muslim girl works for the Red Bank Year book staff and as a student writer for some publications locally. Her brother wrestled 189 the last 2 years for Red Bank with JT. Big Bear great post ...congrats on a state champ for the Henry Clan and it was not the raining men dance
  12. didnt say he did any thang buy accidant jus sayd that him made a mistake yuen is diffarant you be a adult that sould post you name before calling out a kid on a message board. I spent all my money on my children for the hooked on phonics and sylban learning cenyter so i struggle with being dumb and having bad english. I met some great Commando fans and wrestlers and its OK if one is the exception. As I said... adults no right and wrong as well and posting a kids name on a open forum while hiding behind a screen name is wrong.Good luck to the great commandos
  13. Champion I agree with INDIAN leave the kids name out ...I dont agree with what he did either weight and school was enough you have only 2 posts here so if you are going to call out a 16-or 17 yr old for a mistake and use his name at least use yours and dont be a coward hiding behind a new screen name ...go back and be a nice adult and edit his name out...ps he isnt from our school but our region and works hard to be better all year...when you are young emotions get the best of you...your not young and emotions made you make a bad choice by using his name good luck I hope your children never make mistakes
  14. We went to Super 32 this year and they used the ankle bands without any problems I heard no complaints from the Tn wrestlers about wearing them.
