Yeah, maybe I ought to.. It would be a lot less stressful than what I do now. Well, since you played in 2000 and 2001, I am assuming you have no kids playing at this level (at least I hope not)... maybe your perspective will change when you do, who knows maybe not P.S.. At this point, I don't care what you do.... (I got that straight off a card....)

I wouldn't question our "heart" and maybe you weren't. If you are, I think you will change your mind when you see them play. They WILL play 4 full quarters of football and they won't lay down. I don't care if the mercy rule is in effect. You will not see this team quit. I wouldn't think that people question Vanderbilt's heart whent the play UT every year and get beat. They come in with nothing to lose and everything to gain with a win. Maybe Vandy only wins one in 25 years against UT, but they HAVE beat them and most years give them a good game. Be prepared for that Friday night. I know our boys will be disappointed if they lose. Disappointed in themselves. There is a big difference in being disappointed in yourself and people being disappointed in you. That is what Atown implied in his first post. He said the coaches, fans, community, etc. "expect them to win" and "anything less than a state championship is unsatisfactory"... Good luck and either way, I hope you are proud of your team

Well Atown, I don't know you and I know nothing about you, but I can tell you something and maybe you will listen and maybe you won't. These are kids we are talking about and they play this game for fun. They don't get paid... On our bus ride home, I hope our boys are proud of what they have accomplished and leave feeling good about what they have done instead of going home to a town that thinks they are dissappointed in them and they are mad at themselves and crushed. Because win or lose, our boys will come home and DCA will be PROUD ..... You can say all you want about those 8 gold balls, but if losing means you didn't get one and people are dissappointed in you.... you can have it!!!

So, let me get this straight... does that mean the teachers, coaches, families, and community are going to tell those players how dissappointed they are in them if they don't get that state championship.....??? I hope not!

Let's not take too much credit for that Spring Hill game either. They were 1-9.... As I say, I think there are two teams in our region that didn't even make the playoffs that could probably give CAK or Loudon a good game... Let me give you another example.. CAK beat Boyd Buchanan 14-0. Boyd Buchanan beat Tyner 26-6. We beat Tyner 42-14 and the two touchdowns they scored were gimmies.... It will be a close game, and I am not kidding myself

I have done a little research here and I have a question. I don't know a whole lot about East Tennessee football, except for living there for 24 years before moving to Nashville... I knew a lot about Alcoa's competition when I was there, but don't know much since I left. My question is this, are these teams they are beating any good, i.e. Wartburg, Oliver Springs, Sweetwater, Rockwood, Spring Hill (I know they aren't). Then you have Loudon and CAK. I would venture to say that Franklin Road Academy or East Robertson would give both of those a game... So, here we are and we have Whitehouse and Maryville. They have had two big games this year and lost one of them. I will take DCA....

Oh, and one more thing... not only do the talk smack, show lots of pretty pictures and neat little videos of old runs against weak teams, they have written a book on the 101 excuses for losing.... prepare yourself... Go Peabody!!!

Anytime you have a GP thread, there is going to be smack.. get used to it... you are welcome here though....

I appreciate the information and lets all hope it's an injury free competitive game for our kids...isn't that what this is all about... Our kids.... Looking forward to seeing that mountain... I have heard it's really nice up there!

I don't think they will mind. It will be a nice change of pace from the Smith County people on there complaining about last weeks game....

Since you have been so kind as to offer us the weather and even keep us warm during the game, I assume you would be kind enough to offer us a little advice on maybe where to park, maybe a good local restaurant, and even tell us a little about the stadium.. Is there a visitors side, etc.... Your help would be appreciated.

We all have our opinions of who is better and there is no way you are going to convince me of who is better just as I won't convince you. I am not going to disrespect the HC fans on this thread by discussing DCA, CPA, and GP... I invitie you to our board to discuss it further, but this is not the place...
