Has anyone heard any news out of Pikeville? What kind of Offense has the new coach put in? Have they Scrimmaged anyone yet? :confused:

I don't know what the other teams in your Region will be like but with Cumberland Co. & Warren Co. in your region you should make the playoffs! I saw one guy on your team #82 who seemed to be a little dirty at times late hits etc.. but I thought it was a good scrimmage. How did you folks like your trip to the Valley? Considering Warren Co. track record the past couple or more years is this really a good idea for them?

Yes, The INDIANS is scheduled to Scrimmage Moore Co. Aug. 16 (Next Friday) at Moore Co. at 4pm

I was thinking the other day when I was looking through some old game programs and noticed that the last coach we had made team Pictures and Grade Pictures without Pads on (Shoulder or Pants pads) and I thought they looked terrible. Some of you are coaches, so I was wondering which way did you have pics made? I don't remember if he had individual pictures made the same way or not. Bubba Austin didn't show up the night they played Sequatchie either he was a non factor on offense and the defense that night. I can't believe that he was picked for the E-W Game when some other guys from Sequatchie & Marion had better years.

What kind of numbers does Marion have someone posted where Whitwell had around (30-40) I think that is outstanding for them. Sequatchie has around (30) they graduated (8) of last years team but the past three years have had around 10 or more Freshmen come out and I think it is do to the great Coach and staff we now have in Dunlap the last coach was kind of a hot head and a lot people didn't want to play for him.

I see what you are saying ELA, but I don't think Grundy or Sequatchie County has seen any of the money from the NFL to keep it alive. Parents and volunteer coaches have to pay for the equipment or try to get some donated from local sporting good stores! I also know about the soccer this past year someone(A Yankee ) who moved into the area has started a league I don't know how if any that it has affected Little League Football and I think there are rumors that the High School will start a team this year or in a year or so. I don't think to many 2AA teams in the Chattanooga area have Soccer the only ones i can think of is the bigger schools Red Bank, Soddy Daisy or the private schools McCallie, Notre Dame etc... I agree I think cutting out the so called Wee Pee (where the ball is as big as the kid) And Pee Wee is a good idea. But the Junior & Senior Division that is kind of borderline Middle School aged players is fine. How ever I know a lot of kids who have been outstanding middle school players when they get to High School they only want to play one sport or they don't want to play at all. I remember when I first started going to HS games you had a half-dozen or more who played Football, Basketball & Baseball. Was there a article in the Chatt. T Free Press this morning about the scrimmage? If you like Marions Stadium you should check out the Sequatchie Co. Stadium. I don't know if you were at the last game when Sweetwater played in Dunlap early 90's but we have a brand new stadium 3 years old now on campus.

I will say Sequatchie Co. has a great one although most people want believe it till they see it and Grundy Co. has nice one also.

INDIAN, If I remember the tempature was around or below freezing wasn't it?

Notre Dame didn't look good at all in the scrimmage against Sequatchie Co. they did win the 1st team scrimmage 1-0 but the Sequatchie defense had something like 4 or 5 Sacks and had 3 interceptions against the Irish. Bowman only had 2 catches. Don't say that Sequatchie dominated because we were a bigger school because Notre Dame had twice as many players standing on the sidline who were not in the game at that time! If you are telling the truth that sounds like it could have happened but if I was the coach I would have made the player run wind sprints or something but keeping a player out of the Team Pictures is wrong don't the coach tell you that every thing is a team effort? Pictures are forever!
